I disagree with Sunny on this. There's no such thing as over-promotion. Marketing is a massive tool and should never be over-looked. The game has changed today and the first weekend decides the fate of a film, more or less. With that in mind, a film has to be promoted like no tomorrow. Because content is in fact secondary. Look at big brands spending big money on marketing, even though they are known to all i.e Pepsi, Coke etc. A good weekend is half the battle won and promotion gets you there.

A certain amount of promotions are very important...to be able to reach to the audiences...but yes over promotions and unnecessary PR articles totally puts people off the film...

No It didnt take YJHD, the film still had a great score but since the film is releasing this very week thats why! I still feel hype is not that much compared to early films
and Raanjhana - When did it release??

Adi is saving every penny possible by not doing promotions.

There may be some truth to this ETT (also in this production house) also did not have much promotion till its last two weeks and became the biggest hit in 2012!! 😊👏 Because its supporters and others enjoyed the movie and the stars!!
