Episode 282 Discussion: 27th May 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Episode 282 Discussion - EOD Summary

RK's challenge to Madhu to apply her haldi; Radhaji calls Padmini to update on mehendi rasm; Padmini's reminder to Sultan about talking to Madhu; Madhu takes Radhaji on an outing

Events Of The Episode

1. RK tells Madhu that he is not insecure and trusts her. Madhu informs him that Sultan is just a friend. Madhu is teary to which RK tells her that he hates tears. RK tries to break the tension by getting into a lighter mood and teases her that even though he is handsome, dashing, his biwi is dumb and calls her his silly billy and runs away. He goes to open the door to Radhaji who has come to apply oil on Madhu's mehendi. Radhaji teases her Rishu upon which he blushes and leads her into the room. Madhu in order to get back at RK, pounces on him but is embarrassed to see Radhaji.

2. While applying oil to mehendi, Radhaji asks her which gift she would like for which Madhu asks for all of Radhaji's jewellery. In a sweet nok-zok that follows Radhaji informs both RK and Madhu about haldi ceremony tomorrow and they will not be able to see each other after that. After she leaves, RK is disappointed at this rasm and challenges Madhu that if he suceeds in applying haldi on Madhu, she will forgo of the rasm otherwise he will observe the rasm. In the morning they again have a cute romantic moment about their upcoming challenge where RK is confident that he will win it.

3. In the chawl, Padmini sees the news about RK-Madhu mehendi ceremony in the paper. While Trishna is genuinely happy about it, Padmini is scared and wonders why Sultan has not contacted Madhu as she asked. She receives a call from Radhaji where Radhaji appraises her about mehendi ceremony details and upon learning that Padmini will not participate in the haldi ceremony assures Padmini to keep her updated everyday about these ceremonies. She strongly tries to impress upon Padmini that there is no revenge but only love between RK and Madhu and had she come, she could have seen that for herself and agreed too.

4.The wedding invitation cards arrive in the morning and Sikki takes the opportunity to place the first card near Bappa and pray for RK-Madhu's wedding happiness and asks for blessings. Radhaji is happy to see it and thanks him.

5. Madhu gets ready, comes downstairs and asks Radhaji to come with her somewhere. Padmini calls Sultan and Sultan promises her to call Madhu come what may. Madhu and Radhaji are traveling in the car when Sultan calls Madhu asking to talk to her. She tells him she will talk to him later and instructs the driver to take them to Borivali West. Sultan who is in the godown at that time, asks one of his men to track Madhu's car going to Borivali.

Hats off to Radhaji 👍🏼 She is doing what Madhu should have done - try her best to involve Padmini in the wedding. Good to see Madhu appreciating the fact that she has such a wonderful mother-in-law.

Sikky is just getting better and better! Maine aaj tak kuch nahin maanga sivaay paise, bangla, gaadi aur achi biwi ke - aur Bappa to sab kuch nahin diya 😆 Hang in there Sikki!

Padmini is on her way to a nervous breakdown. Hope she reaches there soon

Sultan is hell bent on making a nuisance of himself 😡 Hope Madhu remembers to call him back and tells him to BACK OFF!

Ode to Trust continues.

RK trusts Madhu with his Dil Se.

Hmmm. Time for yet another test. Will RK pass the test this time when he is subjected to prove what he spoke today ? Jaanne ke liye Dekhte rahiye MEIEJ Mon thru Sat at 8:30 PM on Colors. 😆

RK to Madhu - Mere Aasu par tumhaara Haque Hai

Madhu to RK - Tumhe rote dekhne ka, Tumhe Chaahne ka

RK to Madhu - Mujhse pyaar Paane ka, Tumhe chaahna ka Haque sirf mera hai, Tumhaare Us Dost Sultan ka bhi nahin.

Didn't get the logic behind the lines. There seems to be a screw-up somewhere...coz where is Madhu's haque post Aansu line...why the dialogue writing is intentionally screwed up. I feel lack of harmony.

Madhu's scare crow act before Radhaji was nicely done by all three...RK crying Maa, Radhaji calling Madhu...I didn't get what Madhu said to RK.😊

Ek Romantic Love Story ko aaplog Saas Bahu ka Show bana do.😆

The Gift Promo continues through Radhaji.😆 But cleverly used by Madhu to include Sultan drama tomorrow. Wohi ...trip to Borivali West.

What a difference between Padmini and Trishna's reactions to Madhu's Mehndi ceremony. Liked it like so many ordinary families where different family members react in different way to any happy occassion within a family.

Trishna is so happy, but unfortunately that dress was so unappeaing to me. But have to say, this time when I went to India and had been to Big Bazaar for shopping, I chanced to see women's dress section to see what kind of fashion they have nowadays. And I saw Trishna's dress. THis is actually an improved way of original Haryanvi and Punjabi Jat woman's dress...the Shirt kinda blouse with Patiala type Salwar, which has that many frills to look like Haryanvi's woman's ghagra and Punjabi Jatni's lungi.

Padmini's best friend is now Sultan. She thinks every call is from Sultan.😆

Radhaji and Padmini's conversation - liked it.

Did Madhu wash her Mehendi in the night ? RK coming and looking at it was like how when young we used to see the other's hand how red it had turned in the morning while the other slept on. But Madhu shortened it by speaking aloud. Hmmm!

Radhaji - Sikky scene - HILARIOUS

Radhaji is so scared of Sikky that she expresses her gratitude to Sikky for doing the right thing and not disappointing her. 🤣

And precap - Discussion of colors between Sikky and Dips. Yellow theme by Sikky's amicable feelings towards Madhu and RK's marriage and Dips red color according to him a warring theme...and Dips wowing to make it a black theme.

Bhagwan bachaaye kal ke episode ke bad elements se. Plenty of bad cooking, but RK's Haldi ceremony game is the only thing I am looking forward to. Will he able to color Madhu ?

That was yet another lovely episode... Finally i feel things are back to moving fast in MBland... Am making hay while the sun shines till it lasts..

RK-Madhu-Radha: Awesome trio... Truly paisa-vasool entertainment. I was grinning and smiling throughout... Nice family bonding... The screen play and dialogues of the entire scene was too good... from the time Radha comes into the room commenting on RK's goofy smile to when Madhu ready to pounce on him with him telling Ma aayi hai... the free-flow of convo between the trio...with Radha finally telling them that after haldi, dulha-dulhan should not see each other... followed by the RK-Madhu banter... I think I have gushed too much about the scene...

RK was beyond cute...

Why is RK calling Madhu Biwi? Didn't he say he wouldn't for the next two days?

Radhaji: Am happy she is persistently making efforts to involve Padmini in her daughter's wedding...

Madhu-radhaji: Very nice bonding between them...

Sikky was good as usual..

Padmini: Beti aish kar rahi hai and here mother is a hyperventillating wreck doing aakhri umeed Bhai jaap

Sultan: deva deva was back...How can one track a car when it has already left RK mansion to Borivili, there might be different routes to the same destination... Do they know all the vehicle numbers of RK mansion? Or do the cars have GPS tracking in it... Chalo, not going to waste my time on faltu things...

Precap: Was wondering why Dipzy was silent.. Buri nazar wale tera muh kaala...

ETA: Can I finally once again be happy that RK is keeping his door locked and that either R/M has to open the door to let anyone in😆

There has been a spate of good episodes in Rishbala-land. Another nice episode full of the miya-biwi mischief with some tadka in the form of the unnecessary threesome - Paddy, Trishna and Sultan.

Loved the teasing and pouting and the challenging between Rk and Madhu. I'd hoped Madhu manages to give one swat to RK in that first scene, he deserved it. Loved all the conversation between RK, Madhu and Radhaji.

RK doesn't want to stay away from Madhu for even a day. So the challenge that he will apply Haldi on Madhu and if he wins, they don't have to accept the 'to be miya-biwi cannot meet after haldi' tradition. Game on, but why do I feel RK will win. That man never loses.

Paddy is in her own world, fretting and worrying over the safety of Madhu. I just don't understand this woman. Can't she make some effort to have a heart-to-heart with Madhu instead of relying on that not-so-don kind of gangster? Sultan promises Paddy that he will talk to Madhu and rings her up, overhears her and gets to know the location where she is going.

How the hell are Sultan's goons going to locate/follow/find Madhu in this big city of Mumbai? I know they have the location and the starting point, but is Madhu going to stay at the gate of RK Mansion for these goons to arrive so that they can follow her? 🤔

Sikky will always be Sikky. All that acting was to impress Radhaji and this woman always likes to see good in others. Even after what Sikky and Dipali did with Madhu! No wonder you get duped easily, Radhaji!

The precap suggest Dipali planning something bad for Haldi ... and on the other end Sultan intends to meet or talk with Madhu. Not looking forward to tomorrow. I wish I could edit the unwanted scenes and concentrate on the Kundras and the Bhatias.

MB is getting popular. Other shows are copying the revenge theme as well as the songs.

I like Madhu's dress there, but it so reminds me of Anandi and Shiv's marriage, that I don't even want to be happy. AnSh got married, i dunno when, but the consummation happened in May in recent Kashmir Honeymoon trip. Bechaari Pratyusha also quit before that time. 😆

All of it just means so much more aafat to be conquered.

Zoya, Your words of Make Hay while Sun shines is apt. Coz last few good episodes have succeeded in making me forget the slow torture of May drama to get to the point which we are now. And we have speed now...one of the appealing factor of watching MEIEJ.

Ideally I would have tolerated the torture had Madhu not confessed to Padmini and Sultan about her plans like she always keeps her thoughts private. That is her character, not to reveal to anyone what goes in her mind. Then I would have been either trying to be detective or deciding to give up like RK. I would never have been bored knowing what Madhu's plan and my mind everyday saying...okay RK failed now and now RK succeeded...so everyday the libra scales principle working and boring me..

Madhu now not confessing anything to Padmini and Sultan is again in her character. She has emotionally stabilized herself and so knows the right thing for her interests...to reveal little of her plans to people who will be worried for her but negatively.

Plotwise, I request writers to pay attention to the fact, that chapter of RK showing Madhu the mirror about how it looks making a man a close friend when is capable of shooting other's brains...is not over. RK showed this mirror to Madhu on April 19th and 20th. Madhu ignored it that day and also later on consistently ignored wisdom in going to Sultan...until the point she used Sultan for her advantage. So inspite of the fact that Madhu is plot herself, it would be wrong of the drama to have the character not review her actions, as Madhu alongside being the person driving the drama is a character also. She needs to sit and weigh the consequences of her imprudent actions in becoming proximate to Sultan. She cannot smile and ignore Sultan's calls of panic in dead of night (when she could be sleeping in RK's quarters at that time...so possible RK is very much closely around her). If her husband invited Sultan, that does not mean Madhu not reprimand Sultan in sweet tone, that it is too late in the night for friendly chat and suggesting a chat in the morning. This Madhu should have done it right before RK, but instead she invited him.

Madhu comes out very imprudent in terms of worldly principles...when balancing Sultan and RK in her life. I suggest she start watching Vrinda's story in LifeOk's Mahadev. She would know few things about being an independent woman-professional, a dutiful daughter, a god-fearing person, a dutiful wife and how prioritizes always the right before her mighty husband for his well being and in turn is able to curse even her God for cheating on her to mortally wound her husband. In the end, Madhu may do exactly as Vrinda, but Vrinda never falters and is always truthful to her profession, her duties, her God and her Husband...so much that her husband allows her to keep her God in his palace, but Vishnu her God has no other way left than to cheat her to weaken her protective cover around her husband. I guess price of being unflinchingly virtuous is too high and so Madhu's way of ignoring to review actions may be also a way of living. I am sometimes confused and get lenient and I refuse to judge anyone...but I would still like it for actions to be reviewed, even if not decided on what to judge. Madhu reviewed Padmini's equation, but is living in a delusion with regards to Sultan.

Eberything bhas phast phast today. RK bhayya walking talking challenging, Madhu Bhabhi jumping crying traveling, Radhaji doting smiling phone calling, Sickyji bakwaasing godgrovelling...all nice nice.

Only hated that Padmini aunty calling calling that godown bhayya asking him to do bad bad things. Whatta mother that one, always scaring, screaming, weeping. Very tiring!

From my experience, marrying for revenge is Colors very old theme as early as 2009. I saw it first in Na Aana Is Des...and the songs...I saw plenty of romantic songs for Sia and Raghav's pair. For me its very old theme. I am sure even before 2009 also, may be stories floated by...because films were always there with this theme.
