Delnaazz Paul is no more doing Star Plus' Karam Apna Apna. Just like hubby Rajev Paul, Delnaazz too wasn't happy with the way her role was shaping up and decided to quit the show. However, the actor says that the parting was amicable. "Rajev and I felt that though the roles would've been great for newcomers, they weren't developing well for us. Rajev has done some great work with Ekta Kapoor and we didn't part on a bitter note," she says.
Delnaazz adds that she is not a daily soap actor. "Till date, I have mostly acted in weekly shows, episodics or films, hence I am not really a daily show person," she says. She says that neither she nor Rajev hold a grouse against the production house. "When one makes a serial on a such a huge scale, there are bound to be some changes in it. And that's what happened. Our characters were supposed to be the comic, breezy angle. But when I see the serial today, I understand why the characters could not be developed. I, as a viewer, wouldn't have liked a distraction when the main track is so intense," says Delnaazz.
Now, she is all set to take a break. "I am going to Delhi soon. Both Rajev and I have been working nonstop for a long time and it's the right time to take some time off. Thankfully, money is not an issue and we can afford to take this break," she says.
Delnaazz has been a part of Star One's Nach Baliye and she feels that other than serials, reality television will continue to boom on television. "Anyone who says that he or she is involved with a reality show for personal reason is lying. The money that reality TV offers is huge. That's the only reason many people are ready to commit so much time," she says. But in spite of the money Delnaazz is not willing to go for a show like Sony's Bigg Boss. "I am too much of a family person. I need to talk to my parents everyday. And if I am away from home for long, I get homesick," she laughs.
On the professional front, besides Star Plus' Shararat Delnaazz say that 2007 will see her signing more films
