I'm glad that Nandi came back into the show after his prolonged absence. And I'm glad that Devi Saraswati is back as well (it looks like the CVs forgot about her for a while!). ๐
But there is someone else who has disappeared of late - the
Blue Asur!
The four colourful asurs (who I have given colour names in brackets) - the blue one (Neelasur), red one (Lalasur), black one (Kalasur), and the silver one (Rajatasur) - were first seen when Jalandhar joined the asurs and Shukracharya. (I guess Swarnasur was lucky that he wasn't painted gold!)
Then after he became Asur Raj, it appears that these four were some of Jalandhar's closest/most trusted praja (ministers, maybe?) - they always seemed to be around him, or reporting to him about something or other (like when he was recovering in Vrinda's clinic/palace and she asked them to leave). The after Jalandhar had recovered we saw all four of them at some point or other, either all together or by themselves.
But Neelasur alone has been completely missing since the maha-episode of 5/5/13! When Jalandhar was being crowned Trilokadipati and afterwards when Mahadev appeared, we saw Lalasur, Rajatasur and Kalasur for at least some of the time, but not Neelasur at all! Seeing as they are all so close to their king, you'd think that all of them would have been there for his coronation, right?
Well, I have read a funny theory in our forum about Neelasur. The theory is that Neelasur perhaps *likes* Jalandhar, and that that was why Neelasur used to look at Jalandhar the way that he did! ๐ Hilarious theory - kudos to whoever thought of it! (sorry, I can't remember where/which thread I read this in or who posted it, but credit where credit is due!)
So, going along with this theory for a moment, as Neelasur has been MIA since Jalandhar and Vrinda's wedding - maybe Neelasur got upset with the fact that Jalandhar got married, and so he disappeared and hasn't been seen at all since? ๐ ๐ Or it could just be that the make-up department was running low on blue paint and needed to keep their supplies available for Jalandhar's tattoos. (And as we have seen, J's tattoos will soon be black, so maybe they have now actually run out of blue paint?)
Most likely, of course, is that the actor was not available. Whatever the case, seeing as Neelasur was so obvious whenever he was present, his absence has been extremely conspicuous! Its good to see from the latest promo that all four colourful asurs will (seemingly) be back for the war! But I guess that means Neelasur will be back after Vrinda's death! Does this lend credence to the theory that he was jealous of Vrinda??? ๐ฒ ๐
Ok, so that was my latest lame attempt at humour. I sincerely hope no one was offended!
And knowing my luck, now that I have written this, Neelasur will be back in tonight's episode!
On a serious note, do you think the gang of colourful asurs is supposed to symbolise something? Maybe it isn't, but we haven't seen asurs in costumes like this before, so I was wondering if that was indeed the case. It could maybe be like the four knights in the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, who represented different times of day and wore different coloured armour - Morning (Blue), Noon (can't remember the colour), Evening (Red), and Night (Black).
Any thoughts? (even if they are just "Arti [A-A-S] has gone mad!")
