Money for nothing, kicks for free
Hallo… Hellow… Mandira, an excited and panting caller from Hubli went. I was on SaharaOne's Dial One Aur Jeeto. Wearing a million dollar smile, svelte and elegant host Mandira Bedi was quick on the take and she went
Mandira Bedi in Dial One Aur Jeeto
"Hello, Vinay Kaise hain aap?" (How are you?)
"Main theek hoin, Aap hamare desh ki sabse acchi abhinetri hain."
"Thank You, so much," said Mandira - dressed in a shimmery, shiny purple sari. After exchanging a few pleasantries like "Aap kya karte hain," etc, etc she goes.
"To, Kya aap tahyar hain Sawaal key liye."
"Yes," the caller goes.
So, Mr Computerji, kya sawal hain? What is the currency of Pakistan?
"Rupee."
"Yippie, Sahi jawab. Aap ko milta hain ek DVD Player."
I must say, television viewing was never so rewarding! If you're either getting bored or lazing around sitting at home; just dial a number and answer a simple question. And Voila; you could win a swanky mobile phone, a plasma screen TV or a free airline ticket Unless, you're unlucky. Like a caller dialed from Patna and he was shown a clip from a film but unfortunately the lights went off - in Patna, I mean.
But as they say the show goes on, Mandira fully emphathising with the caller. Ooh, light chali gaee. But, keep calling and keep dialing!
I think the show really rocks. It's live and interactive. And sizzling Mandira who's also the clear USP of the show, adds the 'extra innings'. No retakes and no gaffes. It looks like Mandy baby has also done her homework well and picked up phrases like Mr Computer and Kya aap taiyar hain, from you know who - The Big B, of course.
