Dukhbaa seems to be completely scared of her hubby and wants to protect Kumari from him at any cost. It is her fear that is making her behave like this but can't justify to the way she behaved to Kumari in front of all those people. Kumari is old enough to understand if she is told about her dad but Dukhbaa hasn't realised it yet.
