Sanjeev Kapoor has lost it! If he feels that choosing Yasmin over Devyani was because her need is greater! 😡 🤢
My Assessment -
Now before people start attacking that there was no innovation in her dish, I would like to say that neither of the dishes had any. Yasmin made egg curry, finished by baking, while Devyani made omelet, just layered it. So neither 'innovated'. So the score is equal.
Both were given free & helpful advice by the judges, Sanjeev being magnanimous in going to both contestants.
Vikas was sweet & gently reminded Yasmin that none supported her. Result - Yasmin cries 😭 (Was it a ploy to derail Yasmin?) Devyani was visited by Kunal who gravely listened to her plans & suggested she do something more as a mere omelet was not enough. Result - Devyani frantically concocts a dessert 😕 (Was it done to put more pressure on her that they have more expectations from a cook of her calibre?) Now the score is equal again.
Judging :- Yasmin is told by Sanjeev that her curry is dry otherwise it's perfect while Vikas says the rice is not up to Yasmin's standards. Devyani is told that her dessert is a flop by Sanjeev while he compliments her layered omelet. Kunal rates the main dish good while the dessert was too sweet. Score is equal again. (I want to know why can't they show the 3rd judge tasting & commenting?)
The show deals with cooking & therefore the result too should be based on the cooking & not on the charity or partiality of the judges!
By stating Yasmin's background as the reason for her being declared safe, Sanjeev Kapoor has shown his or SP pathetic mentality (most likely SP). But why did the others have to nod sagaciously in agreement? 😡
They have taken away from Yasmin's achievements by that one statement. First they pressured her to use her super shakti & now this. It has left a bad taste on the whole & tainted a good contestant.
