Eijaz to sign PNC film

It is learnt that Eijaz Khan has opted out of Ekta Kapoor's Indo-Pak show, which was supposed to be shot in Dubai.

The actor has been nursing Bollywood ambitions for a while now, and is finally on the verge of signing for the lead role in a PNC film.

Since those dates clash with Kapoor's Indo-Pak venture, he sees no other way out but to quit the show. Of course, he hasn't kept good friend Ekta in the dark about his aspirations.

But till the time his promised lead role doesn't materialise, Eijaz is content with a cameo role in another PNC film, Just Married, being directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Interestingly, his fiance Anita Hasanandani (with whom he fell in love during Kavyanjali) is also a part of that film. Rangita Nandy of PNC explains that the couple has a dance sequence along with a few scenes together. Apparently, their chemistry has been utilised to the max.

Says Rangita, "It is during their dance that Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol first set eyes on each other. Eijaz plays Fardeen's best friend, while Anita plays Esha's."

Our source at Balaji says, "Balaji has no problems if Khan opts out of Indo-Pak show. He will only do Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka if he signs the PNC film. We shall know in a few days. But as things stand today, Khan will not let the film opportunity slip away."

Rangita adds that Eijaz has a very interesting face and is talented, too. "We have been in talks with him for three projects. After Just Married, we want to work with him again."
