Chapter 8

"It was almost a week since he spoke to me, how he could be so insensitive?" After that tej incidence, she always wanted him around her , she feared to sleep alone in nights, to walk along the corridors of haveli but yuvi spent day and night in office and hospital. Yes he had told her clearly that he will stay away from her, she should be relieved and happy about it and she wanted the same. But than why she was not happy ?why she missed him? Her mom and amla would try to take out some time from their hectic schedule, still she felt lonely? "why I m thinking about him? M I gone crazy? Gosh I behave like typical newlywed wife wanting her husband to pamper her and spend all his time with her ! But I m not his wife right ? It's just a contract marriage !'' It was question of her self respect, it was about being righteous women and she did not wanted to be weak or atleast pretend not to be weak , but this stupid heart had began to surrender to someone whom she claimed to hate. Why this heart is so insanely illogical idiot, and never thinks what is right and wrong? I mean out of all the man in the world ,it has to worry and feel pity for yuvi? Probably she had always special place for yuvi in her heart , and that soft spot for him never died , it was just dormant ! waiting to give second chance to him, waiting to see his remorse and forgive him, waiting to get back her best friend who always gave her support ,pampered her and made her feel that she is most desired women.

Her chain of thought is broken by cranky voice of wooden door of their room. And her yuvraj enters inside ignoring her again, goes to washroom to freshen up and get ready to go to hospital. He was totally tired and managed office with great difficulty . But yuvi proved himself as hardworking efficient business man , yes he was inexperienced but tapasya helped him . " there is strange bond between him and my mom, she too has soft corner for him and unlike me it is not because he is iccha mom's son but may because when he was young and I was not with my parents he was the one who gave them happiness and reason to celebrate, she would often speak about his childhood and how he is changed into good man, her face would lit up while praising him and yes I admit I would get jealous as it made me feel my mom loves him more than me but than I had his mom on myside, tit for tat"

Yuvi came out and he started getting ready and took out bag to put cloths inside, mukta was surprised to see him packing the stuff in the bag.

Mukta: yuvi u need a rest , I can got to hospital instead of you tonight.

Yuvi: no thanks

Mukta: why r u packing ur bag?

Yuvi: actually I m going to satara, I have some work there.

Mukta: satara? Yuvi answer me what work is there?

Yuvi: it's about Vishnu! Revajibhai, I know him as he was cook in jail where i was there, his sister used to work in satara jail and she told that there was guy called Vishnu there, presently working in ngo and visits jail every last day on month , that is tomorrow . I don't want to miss him , because he can visit there any time and he does not stay there for more than hour. So I m..

Mukta: I want to come along with u ..[mukta interrupted him in demanding tone}

Yuvi: see u won't feel comfortable with me travelling in night , u are tired also doing all the work at house alone! U take rest it's about my sister I can handle

Mukta:and it's about my best friend, either u take me with you or I will go alone!

Yuvi was worried, he desperately wanted to reach satara as soon as possible but the technical problem in their car and unwanted rain had halted their journey . He didn't want mukta to face any discomfort or fear , or any circumstance which can create more misunderstanding between them. Worse thing was they were trapped in middle of deserted road , with no network and his princess was shivering under the tree seeking shelter to protect herself from chilling breeze and drizzle .

Yuvi: I told u to wear my jacket, ur blood will freeze if u stand like that for long

Mukta: I m ok!

Yuvi: yes I can see that..[he said in sarcastic tone}

He removes his jacket and wraps it around mukta , which was obviously oversized compared to her slender stature making evident how much fragile and delicate she is yet she always dared to challenge and oppose him , ruled his heart and made him feel weak in front of her . He was amused how a strong tall stubborn guy like him can be overpowered by this tiny girl.

Before she could reject his offer, there was laud thunder in the sky and she felt she would die next second. But instead of that something magical happened, she felt warm hands stroking her back to comfort and calm her body shivering in cold and fear and she surrendered herself in his embrace holding him tightly. Yuvi's heart stopped beating that second , he could not stop thanking his car and rain god in his mind whom he cursed few min ago. "I don't care for any promise, it was so difficult for me to avoid her for past one week . I felt as if I will die soon , but at present she blew a new life in me. I just wish this moment; this time will stop at present forever." The dark scary atmosphere appeared like heavenly beauty to him with mukta in his arms, and his heart felt content.

The ring of bicycle bell broke the magical spell, and they reluctantly parted away from their brief intimate hug . He was some worker in dabha situated few miles away , who offered them help and arranged mechanic for them. Their journey after car was repaired and they drew away towards satara after thanking the stranger and mechanic. Both of them were quiet throughout out their journey, they had realized the equation of their relationship is changed a lot. They are no longer just friends or enemy or two people bound by contract marriage, unintentionally they had began to obey the duties of husband and wife and surrendered the right over themselves to eachother.

They stayed at guest house near police quarters , revajibhai's sisters had arranged everything and given them appointment to visit jail premises saying they have come to inspect school and give donation. They stayed in same room ,under same roof yet felt they were miles away. Yuvi could not sleep that night , the sweet memories of their hug haunted his mind . "once they track down real Vishnu , the purpose of their marriage would be over , than mukta will leave me! she won't even look back at me! how I m suppose to live without her?" saline drops trickled from corners of his eyes , and he passed the nights tossing from one side to other.

Mukta 's face lit up like that of small child while listening some fairytale story or heroic person from history and yuvi squeezed out a faint smile. "mahanta puran of that lady is never ending! Did she think of her own child . her mamata was satisfied raising many kids here but what about me , I never got any love , I did not get my share !"

Atleast about meethi she knew how she looks what she is doing she was not tensed about her , but she would often talk to me worry about your wellbeing , for 18 years I have seen her waking up in the nights crying "yuvi !yuvi! he must be hungry , he needs me" . she left this place in haste , one of her bag is still there , now you have come I can give it to you'll.

She took them to the store house like thing and handed them over the bag .

Yuvi's eyes had moistened up, everything appeared blurred to him. Mukta could sense he was disturbed, ''are you ok ?". yuvi simply nodded yes and open that trunk , where his mother ' memories were treasured and kept safe. He saw so many gifts for him and meethi ,a kite , a doll , teddy bear , greeting cards, everything was hand made. He saw bunch of papers tied together , and on top to dear yuvi was written. He opened the knot of that string, and saw so many letters wriiten to him by his mother which she never posted him.

He opened on letter which was written to him on his 2^nd b'day where she wrote "sorry my son . I m not with you to celebrate your b'day but my blessing are there with you. Your too young , you don't know to read and write . but I m sure ,when you will grow up you will read this one"

He opened another one , where she had addressed 12 year old yuvi to listen to his father and don't waste money. she had gifted him pigy bank and told him to grow up just like his father , a successful businessman and great human. There were 90-100 letters , he looked at them and picked up and read with his hungry eyes which yearned for his mother's love. He picked up the last letter which she had written before leaving the jail .. "my dear son yuvi , I m sorry I m sorry that I was not there for you all this years , it is because of me that you have grown up like this! My heart cried in pain when I saw police caught you , worse thing was veer was with me when I saw this news on tv. I went to meet you in jail , but did not dare to meet you. All I could do is request aman to withdraw case against you and gave mai warning not to spoil you and poison you. I know you hate me , but this is not your fault. Your mother really loves you , more than kanha and meethi they have ammo but my yuvi is alone. I want come near you , embrace you and shower my love , I want to see you grow up like your father . yuvi please promise , u won't do such mistake! Please! With love your mom"

Yuvi was speechless, he hugged the pile of letter and cried out louder " ma!! I m sorry , I m sorry I always disappointed you I m sorry" mukta tried to calm him, " yuvi , don't worry. Everything will be all right , once you are with icchama , your life will be exactly the way she wanted. See I told you , she loves you"

Yuvi : mukta!! Will she forgive me? tell?

Mukta: off course! Yes she will forgive you , she loves you the most!

Yuvi cried like small child in mukta's lap ,clinging to her and mukta stroke his head gently and tried to comfort him with her words. But she knew , guilt has made wounds fresh again but once yuvi and icchama will unite they will heal .

"Hello did I disturb you'll?" mukta and yuvi turned towards the door where they saw a guy with spectacles and wearing a broad smile with tray of tea cups and biscuits .

hi frns , finally decided to wrap up ss , instead of leaving it half. another 2-3 chapter max
