Aashka Goradia launches salon
The actress has joined hands with hair-stylist Jawed Habib to launch a beauty salon

It has been a long journey for Aashka Goradia - from her tryst with the small screen to a beauty salon in Andheri. Her new venture is something that Aashka is quite excited about. "I've set up my salon at Lokhandwala. I also plan to launch a spa soon," says Aashka. Short cut: Aashka Goradia
Aashka'a salon is being endorsed by veteran stylist Jawed Habib. Aashka says, "I'm happy that Jawed agreed to lend his name and face for the promotion of the salon." The rest, in terms of investment and execution, are taken care of by Aashka herself. Commenting on the fierce competition in this field, Aashka says, "There are loads of other salons in the same locality. So, it's certainly not going to be a cakewalk for me. But I'll make sure that my clients keep coming back to us. I have a team of experts, who will handle my clients' skin, hair, weight problems, etc. It's a huge challenge for me and I'm anxiously looking forward to it."
A business of her own was something that she always wanted. "It's a secure career. I know it's going to be difficult managing both my acting career and my salon. But I'm sure I'll be able to handle it," she says.
So she's not going to bid adieu to her career in acting? "No way! I'll continue to act as long as I am getting good roles. The day I stop getting performance-oriented roles, I'll quit and take care of my business," says Aashka.
