A quick post so we could get a bit more active down here. đ
Really, TVD writers? Really? I'm going to do my best here to separate myself from the love I have for The Originals. Let's accept that Elena was doing everything she had to do in order to save her brother. Let's accept that inviting Kol in with the purpose of killing him and his bloodline with no thought as to their potential innocence in the matter was necessary. Let's accept that her actions were in defense of her family, no matter how much we hate her for it. Let's accept that she was just doing what a person backed into a corner would do.
But tell me now, why would Elijah be so nonchalant about the whole thing? Just, why? It's been confirmed he knew full well Elena's involvement in Kol's death, yet the more pressing matter is to be upset that Katherine lied to him? Katherine killed the person directly responsible for killing his own brother, whatever happened to 'honor in revenge'? Even if he feels sorry for Elena, why not say something to Rebekah? Look, the show has set the status quo of Elena receiving no direct reprimand for any of her actions, but at the very least, can other characters who have lost family members get a chance to acknowledge their loss?
Elijah has been a kind and noble man when it comes to Elena and he's gotten nothing in return in regards to her. He should be furious if I'm being completely honest. Just as Elena should be furious with Katherine.
What I was dreading actually happened: Elijah berated Katherine for killing Elena's brother and sympathized with Elena when she killed his brother too. This is a new low, even for Julie Plec. đđź Screw it, just send the Originals to New Orleans I am so done with this shit.
