Can you give some idea on what is the current process of assessment..

One approach is you argue for the process..highlighting process inefficiencies and in current avatar its not good..

let me come back to you on this..

But nay idea, what cbse is currently doing to address this?

-Every student cannot be a good speaker or listener. Even if he or she is forced to come out of his or her shell, most do not fare well. It might sound like a good idea to make sure everyone converses well, but in the practical sense what actually happens is that students who are not at all good at speaking up loud do not get good grades in here. While it is all very well to include activities such as this in the curriculum, the fact that they are literally forcing everyone to come up and carry out public speaking for the sake of grades is not right. Because at the end of the day, most will just rattle something out for good grades and not because they are being encouraged to speak up.

-The practical method of assessing these skills is very rarely enjoyable. CBSE might have included it, but they are not actually reviewing how it works out. To give an example-
a new political science teacher in my class once had to carry out a debate because it was a compulsory activity for all the sections. She couldn't handle the class or control it. It used to be a fish market. Now what happened was that everyone got printouts from google and read it out. Without any thought put into the subject, without any brains gone into what the subject matter was. It was supposed to be an activity of listening and speaking as well as learning but the grades which went out were just randomly put. It was boring, it was useless and it was time taking and the grades didn't mean anything.
Now what was the point of it when we never really were imparted any sort of education?

That is all I can come up with now, will think and add more later. Though honestly, I am against the topic :P And all this is through my own experience in this dreaded educational system of CCE🥱
