Chitrangada Singh files for divorce

Bollywood actor Chitrangada Singh, whose troubled personal life was in speculation for long, has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband Jyoti Singh Randhawa at Gurgaon court on Friday.

A leading publication quoted a lawyer at the court as saying, "Both Chitrangda and Jyoti had hired lawyers from Delhi. It seems the duo did not want the matter to go public."

The couple has been married for 12 years and have a son, Zorawar.

Report also suggest that the case was heard by Baljit Singh, District Judge, family court, Gurgaon. The court advised the duo to reconsider their decision, while fixing the next date of hearing for November 11.

Chitrangada made her Bollywood debut with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, directed by Sudhir Mishra in 2003. She has also acted in several Hindi movies such as Inkaar, Sorry Bhai, Ye Saali Zindagi and Desi Boyz.

Her husband, Randhawa, was ranked in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking several times between 2004 and 2009.
