Akaash released his shocked mother to hug Anjali, then Arnav, grinning foolishly.

"Aap bohot hi lucky hain, Mamiji," Anjali smiled tearfully as she was overwhelmed. "Hum abhi Mamaji ko phone karke bataate hain." (You are ver lucky, Mamiji. I'll just call Mamaji and tell him.)

Arnav patted his cousin on the back. "Congrats, Akaash."

Khushi had gone inside to meet her Jiji while Kavni was sleeping in Nani's lap.

"Hum to bohute khush hain!" Nani beamed. "Duyi baar par-nani aur duyi baar par-dadi ban chuke hain hum." (I am very haapy. I've become maternal grandmother and paternal grandmother twice each already.)

"Ee Khoon-Bhari-Taang!" Manorama muttered. "Humre babua se byaah kiye to saath mein extra bahurani le aayi. Iss baar extra babua le aayi? Hum do timewa se pehle oldwa ho jawat hai!" (This Khoon-Bhari-Taan! When she married my son, she brought with her an extra daughter-in-law. Now an extra grandson? I'll become old before my time!)

"Manorama!" Nani snapped.

She sighed, looking at her mother-in-law. "I am bhery happy, saasu ma! Hum to bas-" (I am very happy, saasu ma! I'm just-)

But Devyani Singh Raizada threw a withering glare at her bahu, making her shut up at once.

"Sab kitne khush hain, na?" Khushi said, smiling widely as she carefully arranged the clothes in the cupboard. "Khaas karke Jiji aur Jijaji!" (Everybody is so happy. Especially Jiji and Jijaji!)

Arnav adjusted the feeding bottle in Kavni's mouth so he could hide his amusement from his wife, who, yet, did see it.

"Kya hua? Aapko hassi kyun aa rahi hai?" she demanded. (What happened? Why are you laughing?)

He grinned at her and shook his head. "Kuchh nahin, bas soch raha tha." (Nothing, just thinking.)

Khushi frowned. "Kya?" (What?)

He shook his head again, looking at his daughter who had finally fallen asleep. "Nothing. Main Kavni ko usske room mein chhod ke aata houn." (... I'll put Kavni in her room.)

Thankfully enough, she dropped the subject and resumed her work. He smirked to himself, feeling sorry for Akaash. Payal's pregnancy had been specially difficult, not for her, surprisingly but for Akaash because she had turned shockingly annoying. All the poor guy could do now was pray that his children were not a half as... demanding.

Because if Arnav Singh Raizada found that raising a sweet daughter was not that easy a task, what would Akaash Singh Raizada feel about rearing two sons? Arnav looked at his child and grinned. Akaash could be happy right now; it would sure be a lot of fun to see him in a couple of days...
