I think it has something to do with that flashback about the injection...
...was Dadi alive then? if so maybe she thinks her dadaji killed her with that injection ( a child's perspective) when really he was maybe giving her pain relief/insulin shot...
OR
As she feels so unloved, she may think he had betrayed her by not bringing her home from her boarding school.
