I have a question. I will be writing maximum five extra parts to this FF from RK/Adi's povs. 3 from RK's pov and 2 from Adi's. So far I have a request for RK's pov from the coma stage and from before he kidnapped her. I also have a request for Adi's pov throughout, but briefly. So if anyone has another RK pov or Adi pov request please do let me know! ALSO! Here's a sneak peak at the banners for my upcoming FF which will be taking place of this one within a month.

Chapter Thirty-Nine - The Surprise

I laid in bed crying for hours until I remembered I had to get ready. I looked at the time and saw it read 630pm. I cussed beneath my breath as I realized I only had 30 minutes to get ready. I rushed towards the bathroom with the sari Adi had given me. I quickly took a shower and began to get dressed. As I pulled out the sari, I wasn't surprised to see it was a Kundra sari. I pulled out the blouse and saw the thin straps with the low back...I knew I wouldn't be comfortable in it but I had no other choice. I quickly put it on and wrapped the sari around myself. I curled my hair as quickly as I could and threw on simple makeup in an attempt to get ready in time. I stepped out of the bathroom and went to check myself out in front of the long mirror. Once again, I left myself speechless with my own beauty. I was sure it had something to do with the Kundra designed sari I was wearing. It was black with sequins and beads with a low back, thin-strapped blouse. The sari pallu itself didn't cover much of my front as I had wished but nonetheless I looked quite beautiful in my opinion. After admiring myself for a moment, I turned around and looked at the time; it read 7:06pm. I was late. I quickly ran out of my room whilst making sure my sari remained pinned in place. I ran down the stairs and noticed the lights were dimmed. Adi was nowhere to be found even though he had mentioned he'd be there at seven. I figured he was probably late, so I was about to turn around to head back up the steps when suddenly the lights flashed on. I turned around and my heart jumped as a bunch of people jumped out from around the furniture and yelled surprise. I stood frozen for what felt like forever as all of them stared at me. I recognized none of them, besides the few that I had seen at Kundra Agency. My eyes scanned the crowd as I tried looking for who was behind this. As I looked over the crowd, I saw an opening take place. Then I saw Adi. He wore a black suit with a black shirt and looked as classy as ever. He had the most loveable expression on his face as he walked towards me. He looked me up and down and then raised an eyebrow as though he were impressed. He smiled his crooked smile at me and I couldn't help but lower my eyes and blush. As soon as I saw his feet in front of me, I looked up and saw him staring at me...almost as though he were admiring me.

"You look stunning Madhu."

"Th...thank you."

I knew it was the night of confession he had planned, but I had no idea that he planned on making it public. I felt nervous and uncomfortable. He turned his back towards me and stepped towards the crowd.

"Thank you all for coming this wonderful evening. I can assure you that things will not end as bad as they did last time."

Something seemed fishy, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I looked over the crowd again, this time searching for RK, but he was nowhere. My eyes quickly turned towards the steps, but he wasn't there. Then slowly my eyes headed up to his room doors...and there he stood, leaning over the railing, watching everything. His eyes locked with mine as I looked up at him. Instantly I looked away and back towards Adi. I knew RK would make me weak, he'd make me back out of what I was doing even though I had told myself I wouldn't. I put all my attention on Adi in an attempt to block out RK.

"...And then I met her."

Adi turned and walked towards me. He came to my side and slid his hand across my waist. I gasped as I felt his soft fingers gripping at my bare waist and I looked up to see him smiling down at me passionately.

"When bro brought her home...it was like love at first sight."

"It was?"

What was he saying?! Adi and I had never gotten along. And by never, I mean never. All we ever did was annoy each other.

"Well, for me it was...but I never got the chance to tell you. I've had a crush on you since the day I met you. All that annoying and teasing was just a side of my love Madhu."

My eyes widened as I looked up at him. I instantly looked towards the ground while trying to figure out what he was saying. How could he have had a crush on me? It didn't make sense. It just didn't. I was his brother's fiance and he had a crush on me? How?! As I asked myself questions, I felt his hand slide off my waist. He came to stand in front of me and I just knew he was getting close to his full confession. I grabbed a glass of water from the table within my reach as he grabbed my other hand. I took a sip of the water and just as the water entered my mouth, he got down on one knee. I froze with the water in my mouth and my body went cold. I watched in a statue state as he let go of my hand and reached into his jacket. He pulled out a mini container and I felt as though I was just having a nightmare. It took everything I had not to pinch myself in front of everyone. He flicked it open and I saw the most beautiful diamond ring.

"I love you. Will you marry me Madhubala Malik?"

I spat out my water. It went all over Adi on the ground and he wiped at his face.

"I...I...I'm sorry!"

I stuttered, still shocked at what he had asked. He confessed his feelings for the first time and proposed to me at the same time? What was he thinking?! He didn't even give me enough time to think straight about his confession and there he was throwing a proposal in my face? As Adi wiped at his face, I turned to look up at RK, but he was no longer there. It bothered me that he could be so okay with everything that was happening. I looked back down at Adi and watched him smile up at me from behind his wet face. He raised an eyebrow awaiting an answer. I looked up at the crowd who was busy going aw and also making remarks on how adorable the scene was. They all looked so happy for Adi that I felt pressured. I put on the most genuine smile I could and I slowly looked back down at Adi.

"Yes..."

I saw a huge smile cross his face as he stood and took my hand again. He placed the ring on my hand as I looked back up at RK's room. He was still nowhere to be seen. I looked back at Adi and he pulled me in for a hug. I felt his wet shirt sticking to my skin and I guess he did as well. He pulled away and laughed his adorable laugh. He seemed like the happiest guy alive.

"Sorry! I'll be right back, I'm going to get changed."

"I'm sorry about that."

"I understand! I know you hadn't been expecting this."

He turned around to face the crowd who was cheering, whistling, and clapping.

"EVERYONE! You all enjoy! I'll be back in a bit."

He turned to face me again and smiled down at me. Then suddenly he pecked me on the cheek. My eyes widened as I watched him run up the stairs. I raised my hand and touched my cheek where he had planted a kiss. I sighed as I told myself I'd have to get used to it. I lowered my hand and watched the crowd busy with dancing and conversing. I looked down to the ground, as I felt disappointed with myself. Then just as I was about to walk away, I felt someone pulling me away. I looked up to see RK dragging me up the stairs.

"R...RK! Where...what are you doing?!"

He didn't say a word as he pulled me into his room. He flung me into his room and locked his room door behind himself. Then after a moment of silence, he turned to stare at me with eyes full of anger and pain. And then he spoke.

"How could you?"

Adi got what he deserved: water thrown in his face. And RK, buddy don't be fuming now. You were the one acting all macho "I don't need you". Now suck it up. That's life for ya. Sucker!!
