ITA Really now!

Okay I did a teensy bit of research on the awards and I disagree with ITA on more than one aspects. Viewing it from a neutral standpoint, the majority of the categories, right from the nominations to the awards are messed up. I'll keep QH aside for later. But if online voting is anything to go by then firstly, I do not think Barun Sobti would not make it to the list of nominees in best actor category. In the best jodi category the ITA official facebook page still included Gurmeet and Drashti. I don't know if it was an error but Geet ended a year back if I'm correct. There is no consistency in the pattern they're following; they have jury awards and then popular awards for most categories and for some there's just one. The popular awards would be judged on the parameter of popularity/votes and Vivian, Gurmeet and Karan (Barun not included) clearly have Massive online fanbase. With due respect to, the genuine actor, Kunal who I really like, he sadly did not stand a chance in the popular category.Best actor (jury) probably.

The propaganda is clear- divide the titles among each shows of each channel and save your neck. and thus every show on the TRP charts gets an award- a pacifier; and then there are undercurrents of channel favoritism. DABH, PKDH, Sapne Suhane, Madhubala, QH, Tarak Mehta, had to get awards. The only problem is the awards seem misplaced. Their propaganda would have worked well if they knew how to cover their asses. So Aanchal Khurana gets the quota for Sapne Suhane- complete misfit, Kunal for popular best actor on behalf of colors, Sasuraal Simar Ka for best drama series(jury/popular idk .but really now!). And Deepika won for best female , again jury/popular IDK but if it's popular then again Sanaya, Drashti would have faired better.

Of whatever tidbits I catch of QH both he and Surbhi were strong deserving contenders, jury/popular or otherwise. Yes, Karan Singh Grover came off as a sore loser but yes, he voiced my opinion. I wouldn't go into what brought on that outburst. whether he was pissed because he was rooting for the best actor award, for QH as a whole. I wouldn't know.The graceful and right thing to do would be to glorify The Best Personality of the Year award. But ITA presented an obviously biased inconsistency that was laughable IMO.

So, I guess Karan does not defy what he says he is- self-conceited(his words), straight-forward(my words); while ITA, from where I see, is in clear contradiction to what it claims to be i.e. completely based on audience polls. It is not to take away the credit from any actors/shows who won and I'm against juvenile claims of 'my favorite, and no other, deserved to win', but if only ITA had made the parameter of judging clearer and its discrepancies more plausible, I don't think it's fb page would be flooded with not-so-pleasant comments

and seriously deepika stand a chance in front of sanaya or drashti? no way
