Kumari's policeman and dad- any connection?

I know it's quite a silly question, but could there be any connection between Kumari's Dad and that policeman? Could be he deliberately sent him to Kumari, maybe to get back to the house, or something related to Dugba... Could be he suspected something between LN and Dugba was still going on, and now he sent that guy. I might be wrong, but just a thought which crossed my mind😊
