Ranbir Kapoor detained at Mumbai airport

New Delhi: A homeward-bound Ranbir Kapoor was detained at the Mumbai International Airport on Saturday morning. The actor hadn't declared several duty-free items that were with him. After an inquiry session lasting for close to three hours and a fine of more than Rs. 50,000, the actor was let off.
Despite running into several controversies every now and then, the Kapoor scion had always been able to steer clear of such issues in the past. However, this time around, RK had to clarify his carrying the undeclared items, and only after the things were evaluated and Kapoor inquired, was he allowed to continue on his way back home.
Not very long ago, Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had been detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi for carrying undeclared currency amounting to about 1.24 lakh US dollars. During that incident, the singer had to face inquiries for several hours.
However, for Ranbir Kapoor, all of it was over within a short span of three hours.
