If the centrepiece of the story is the conflict between d-i-l and m-i-l I think it is right that they wrap up the romance quickly. Besides the romance is too cheesy anyway, if it extended and stretched I am afraid it will appeal to nobody.

It maybe a little rushed but remember it's not a romantic story it's a saas bahu serial.
