Jeevika woke up around 5 in the morning feeling absolutely sick. She couldn't open her eyes because of her high fever. Her eyes were burning, a true sign of her fever getting worst. She opened it slowly and sat up on her bed. She saw Viren fast asleep right next to her. His hand holding hers. She slowly crept out of bed and went inside her bathroom and to her closet. She randomly found Viren's sweatshirt and that's exactly what she needed. A loose yet comfy sweatshirt to keep her warm. She sat down near the bathtub putting it on. She was feeling so miserable at the time. She walked out to the room again and noticed Veera was asleep on the couch. She slightly smiled and walked outside the room. She walked down and realized it was taking her longer than usual. Her body was shaking, and all she wanted at this time was coffee or tea to keep her warm and hydrated. She started boiling the water to make herself a cup of tee. She was standing my the stove but feeling really really dizzy. She took support of the kitchen counter, but to little help. Before she knew it she lost her balance and fell down. As she fell her hand banged with the cupboard that was open, which led to her closing it unintentionally also making a lot of noise. That noise didn't go unnoticed. Vanshika whose bedroom was downstairs and near the kitchen ran outside to Jeevika's rescue. Jeevika's eyes were closed but she was conscious.
vn - "Jeevika, what happened?"
Jeevika didn't have it in her to answer. Vanshika held her back and checked her fever. It was quite high so she tried calling out Viren's name. And too her luck he heard, and not seeing Jeevika by his side made him panic even more. He ran downstairs and to the kitchen. He saw Vanshika and Jeevika down on the ground, with Vanshika trying to take upon Jeevika's weight.
v - "Jeevs, what happened? Ma?"
vn - "Viren her fever is way too high. Take her upstairs right now"
Viren scooped Jeevika in his arms and took her upstairs to their bedroom. Her eyes were closed yet there were drops of tears coming out her eyes. He quickly grabbed the blankets that he had placed on the side last night to cover her up. Viren was like superman at the moment. Running from the bathroom to get the thermometer to getting Jeevika her socks. He ran downstairs to grab cold ice towels to back to his bathroom and the medicine cabinet to grab her medicines. Before giving her medicine, he ran back down AGAIN to grab some breakfast that Vanshika was making for Jeevika.
v - "Jeevs here's some tea. Come on you need to take medicine"
j - "Viren" she mouthed
v - "Why didn't you wake me up Jeevs if you wanted something. Come lets get some food inside your body and your medicine so you can start feeling better"
Viren helped Jeevika sit up and made her lean on himself sitting right behind her. He first gave her some medicine followed by a glass of water. Her eyes were still closed.
v - "Here's your tea" he said handing it to her. He held the tea making her drink it sip by sip before she refused to take more and just get some sleep. Jeevika lay back down with the help of Viren. While she slept, in vain, Viren kept placing cold towels on her head trying to get her fever to come. Vanshika was sitting on the other side of Jeevika helping Viren.
vn - "Viren what time did you guys go to bed last night? And when did you give her medicine last?"
v - "We all slept around 2. I had given her medicine last around midnight. It's my fault, I should have set an alarm to give her medicine after every four hours"
vn - "Its okay Viren. Just feel bad for her. She's been so stressed with work plus it was her birthday yesterday and she got sick"
v - "Ma I think she's really missing her family also. I want to send her for a few weeks to India so she could get a break, but she won't go"
vn - "Why not? She should go. Everyone needs a break"
v - "She doesn't want to go alone. She wants me to go as well"
vn - "So then why don't you for two weeks or so?"
v - "It's hard to get out of work right now. Plus Veera"
vn - "Why are you worrying about Veera? She would be more than happy if you guys go, plus she has us over here"
v - "That's true. Let me try and see if I can get out of work for a few days"
vn - "Let me go make some tea for you too. You look tired"
v - "Okay, thank you"
Vanshika walked out the door and Viren lay his head on the headboard closing his eyes for 2 mins. He opened his eyes thanks to Vanshika who brought him breakfast.
vn - "viren why is Veera sleeping on the couch here?"
v - "Actually we all were watching a movie here last night and she fell asleep here. So then Armaan just covered her up. Didn't want to wake the devil up and send her to her room"
vn - "Armaan must have been too scared to carry her to her room in front of her big brothers" she said laughing
v - "Ma, really? Obviously he's not allowed to carry her. I don't care that they are dating. She's still my baby sister"
vn - "Viren grow up. She's 18 now"
v - "Ma, seriously. Shouldn't you be lecturing me on how kids should have their values and stay in their limits?"
Vanshika could not stop laughing at Viren. 🤣
vn - "Viren he would have just carried her to her room and gone, but you and Virat are way to scary" 😆
v - "Ma you are unbelievable. Like seriously"
vn - "Viren did Manvi fall asleep here too?"
v - "Yeah. She's in Virat's room"
vn - "So its okay for her to stay here, but not okay for Armaan to take Veera to her room" she said smiling at Viren. 😊
v - "Ma, Virat and Manvi are mature. Veera is still too young to understand these things. After what happened to me, I got scared not wanting that thing to happen to her"
vn - "Viren I knew you and Jeevika had misunderstandings, but Veera is a smart girl. Give her more credit. She's just like you in that sense. Actually all three of you are. I trust the three of you completely. And Viren, Armaan is a really nice guy. You've seen how he never left Veera's side. He really really cares for her."
v - "I know that Ma. But you know I'm possessive about her. I can not stand anything happening to her"
vn - "Nothing will ever happen to her, so stop thinking like that please"
v - "Okay fine. And I guess Armaan is not bad after all"
Vanshika gave Viren this sarcastic looking smile making him feel bad about judging Armaan once upon a time.
vn - "Oh Viren, sometimes you are so childish" she said trying to irritate her son more 😆
v - "Thanks ma!" 🥱
vn - "I'm going to take a shower, you take care of Jeevika"
v - "Okay"
Viren checked Jeevika's fever and it had gone down, thank god. Jeevika started opening her eyes after sometime looking at her husband all worried still sitting right next to her.
j - "I'm sorry" she said trying to sit up and beginning to cry thinking she got Viren all upset with her again.
v - "Sorry for what? And why are you crying? Are you feeling sick again?" he said getting all concerned.
j - "I'm sorry for what happened early this morning. I didn't want to wake you up. So I thought I'd make tea and then come back upstairs and sleep"
v - "It's okay whatever happened happened. You feeling better"
j - "A little" she said resting her head on his chest.
v - "Ma made breakfast, are you hungry?"
j - "No"
v - "Here drink some gatorade. You'll feel a little more energy inside you"
j - "Okay" she said as he handed her the bottle.
v - "Jeevika I was thinking that maybe we can get away for two weeks somewhere"
j - "Where?"
v - "How about India. Just you and me"
j - "But Viren your work? And Veera?"
v - "I know, I'm going to make adjustments. And I don't think Veera will mind if we go for two weeks. I'll just tell Armaan to stay here with her. She'll be happy too"
j - "Wow when did you grow mature?" she said smiling at the fact that he was okay with Armaan staying over.
v - "you and Ma seriously don't understand me"
j - "We do. We just like teasing you every once in a while" 🤣
v - "So not only do you discuss rubbish with my sister, but now with my mother also"
j - "Obviously. Actually the three of us talk together about you.
v - "I swear you three are the death of me"
j - "I love you" she said kissing his cheek.
v - "I love you more" he said kissing her. Kissing her right on her beautiful lips. ❤️ 😳
