Can you take it all away???

"Sometimes the greatest journey is the distance between two people".

I think this one sentence describes the on going ups and downs in Shiv-Gauri's relationship impeccably. The turmoil of watching our favorite couple go through unrequited love, the passion of silence that lingers on for minutes but seems like seconds to an average viewer, the anticipation of watching the male protagonist (Shiv/Iqbal) walk into a scene and make our hearts go insane, the elegance and innocence of a love (Gauri/Pallavi) so selfless and unconditional that it will bear anything but won't allow a doubt or secret to ever shatter its foundation.. Indeed, this is a journey so pure and simple at its core between two people that it will rope us into watching Karam Apnaa Apnaa every night and undergo withdrawal sessions when it's not telecasted on three days a week. This is a journey between two people so smitten with each other that they may refuse to acknowledge the depth of their devotion to one another but cannot refute each others' care and protection in their eyes even if their lives dependant on it. Undeniably, this is the greatest journey that I ever got a chance to witness, even if it's merely based on fiction. As if without their shared journey, the very meaning of love would cease to be. This is how strong and powerful their bond is that it makes them embark on a journey together without knowing where the destination is or how far they will have to test the waters. All that matters is that they're together.

"Shiv, ager aap kuch sach jaantey hain tu mujhey mat bataiye ga aur ager nahi jaantey tu pata bhi nahi kareye ga..Kiyun key merey liye is sach se barh ker aur kuch nahi hai kay mai aap sey baihad pyar kerti hoon. Mai ney apni ek choti si duniya bana li hai Shiv jis mai hum dono kay ilawa aur kisi ki bhi jagah nahi hai, chahay wo shaq hu ya koi raaz!!"

Alrite, so coming back to the episode today, I don't need to repeat how amazing it was and how it made my frustration from the last two episodes disappear in a second once I started watching it. Suspense, thrill, deceit, lies, love, guilt, hurt, challenge, care. You name it and every emotion was present in today's episode. I am so happy to see Gauri-Shiv's footage today as it definitely made up for the previous episodes.. And I have to say that today was Iqbal's turn to rise and shine one more time. His intense emotions, his powerful grasp of a character torn between remorse and love, his defeat as a man who once claimed he would never be in love with his wife, his broken ego for a love that is so wholesome that it can't bear the thought of hurting Gauri's feelings and is killing him from deep inside.. It was simply marvelous. Iqbal's breaking down scene in the shower was definitely one of his best heartfelt and a tearjerker scenes of his career. It is as if his eyes did all the talking and we no longer needed words to watch how hurt Shiv was on the very thought of breaking Gauri's trust and faith in him through this secret. Only a man in love would give in to crying this badly about someone that he has learned to respect and care for over the course of time and Shiv Kapoor is definitely a man in love!!

Nikhila's claims of choosing Gauri over Shiv while she was talking to Gauri and giving absolute happiness to Gauri in the house while she was conversing with Shanks makes me all the more certain that this woman NEEDS Gauri to stay married to Shiv. She will do anything to hide the secret and her very own confession that she can stoop to any level for the sake of her family proves that this secret has to do something with Shiv's life (hence, the kundali aspect of it).

In this episode, Mahen did come out as a person in the dark but I wonder how long that is going to be for. Call me paranoid but who talks on the phone in a loud tone with his door opened if this person is so adamant on keeping his conversation private? I know I always close my door and lower my voice when I am gossiping with my friends (lol). But he did the exact opposite of that. It is as if he wanted Gauri to hear the conversation and Nikhila to plan out this diversion so that Gauri can get off their case and not suspect them. He's too good to be true, if you ask me. I am sure he's aware of his wife's attempts and if he's not, then he is in for a rude awakening.

Now coming back to the rest of the episode, I am amazed that a secret that was supposed to be known to "only two people" is now known by everyone except for Gauri. If it was only between the guru ji and Nikhila, then how does Shanks know about it? Ok, let's for a second assume he does because he overheard it somewhere. But how in God's name does Devika know about this plan behind Gauri's marriage when she does not even meet the Kapoors or Nikhila? And if Shiv knows about it, was he a part of it with his will or without it? Beats me..

The end scene was awesome between Nikhila and Devika. So both are sure of their convictions. But don't you think it would be completely outrageous and shocking to see Shiv spill all the beans in front of Gauri out of his guilt and care for her? It will be a slap in Nikhila's face for sure. The very Nikhila who was so determined to have this secret remain hidden that she went to the very lengths of kidnapping a person. What will that Nikhila do when the apple of her eye tells her secret to Gauri? Ah, that would be a rocking scene if you ask me. Wesai tu Shanks and Devika can reveal the secret as well but is may wo maza nahi jo Shiv ki baton may ho ga. Something different and extreme will push the TRPs to climb up even more!!

One thing is for sure.. Gauri's love will test its convictions and strength in tomorrow's episode when the secret is revealed to her. Her response is what will gear a shift in the storyline. How the future episodes will shape out will depend on this secret and supposed betrayal. But in reality, the serial will move in a direction that will be goverened heavily by Iqbal's decision to leave the show and whether or not KAA will be re-slotted or put on hold while KBC starts its reign..

I will end this analysis with a personal note: I am not sure if KAA will be going off for three months that KBC is going to be on for or whether there is any hope for Iqbal ever returning as Shiv.. But I am sure of how I feel about his character and how attached I'm with this show. Just the mere thought of not watching KAA for three months or not having Iqbal as Shiv disgusts me. Like others have pointed, how Ekta will manage to keep all the star cast intact (minus Iqbal) for three months is beyond me. Furthermore, there is a flow and continuity attached with the serial. I am sure we all would watch it even if they do end up taking it off air for sometime but it won't ever be the same! Especially with no Iqbal there to be our eye-candy. Moreover, you can't guarantee if the show will keep its current rating by then. Yes, it will be a risk to undertake but my heart just can't grasp the reality that Iqbal or KAA may not be on-screen in a few weeks. So for that, I dedicate the following song to myself today:

That was extremely well written, and I guess it echos what most of us here are feeling these days. Within a very short time, KAA has captured my imagination, and shows no signs of letting up... And the simplicity with which both Iqbal and Pallavi perform their parts is a treat to watch... If Having IQ leaving the show wasn't a blow enough, there's KBC and the possibility of KAA going off air to contend with...

Even though the episode mainly revolved around Nikhila and Shiv was there only for few minutes, he proved what a great performer he is. There was not even any dialogues for him this time but was able to put across the confusion, pain & guilt the character feels without any words.

Now I am again thinking about the disapperance of Shiv which is going to happen I am still wondering how Shiv came to know abt this raaz? Was it from Shashank or devika or machaan? and does he know the complete reason for all this plan? in todays episode it was told that not even Mahen was aware of this drama. I dont think even Devika knows the complete story as she only knows that Shashank was forced to leave the mandap.

So how is gauri going to know this secret? Must be from Shashank. Well we have to wait and see. Overall it was a very good episode much needed for again establishing the characters.

I am really proud of KAA. Atleast the raaz is going to come out this fast. It took only 2 weeks. Consider the park road incident from KS, mukti's rape case from KZK, and baap of all raaz om's killer from KGGK. Its over an year and still most characters from the show does not know who killed om.

I beleive that todays episode is going to be really sad as gauri will come to know the truth and tomorrows episode will be rocking with some blazing dialogues.cant wait.

Now more than this raaz in the serial I want the secret behind the future of KAA to be revealed. Whether Iqbal will continue? will it go off air. I think by the end of this month whatever decision they will take it will be heart breaking. 😭 😭 😭

Thanks, dude!! I was devastated when I heard IQ leaving the show.. But this KBC crap (pardon my lingo here) is making me sweat even more!! It's like whichever thing I end up getting attached to gets snatched away from me. Okay, okay, I'll stop being this melodramatic but seriously, why does KAA have to suffer if KBC is returning? That sux big time!! Even though nothing is sure at this point, I am just hesitant and distraught.. And it's not a good place to be *sighs*.. Anyhow, thanks for replying 😛

Hey 😛..Thanks so much for your input. You can call me Sana. Well, I am just flabbergasted at this whole development of KBC taking over the time slot of KAA. Didn't they know about this ahead of time when they were starting KAA? After all, it's a recurring show and somebody should have realized it at the time.. Now, we the viewers, are in a fix and it's not good to be in this situation. yes, we should be all optimistic but it's like a bad news hitting us one after another and there's only so much you can take in! Oh well, guess we're all stuck with whatever decisions the great elites end up making 😡😡..

Anyhow, let's hope that the KAA team can at least give us some good news in terms of Shiv-Gauri staying together after the secret has been revealed and Shiv confessing his feelings for Gauri.. Wishful thinking on my part? I hope not!! So let's keep our fingers crossed. 😛

Wow! Great analysis. I wish that's what the director had in mind for Shiv and Gauri but it's too much to hope for!
Also, like i said in my new post abt the Pic and Gauri...where she was standing next to the pic in the same pose(5th Dec), I think there was a subtle hint there that Gauri's the girl in the pic, ....that's too much to hope for as well.
Ur absolutely right about the Star plus people goofing up about their show schedules. Sameer Nair is supposed to be a top honcho so how come he messed it up? Never in the history of Star Plus has there been a confusion like this!!
To come back to ur analysis of Shiv/Gauri, ur absolutely dot on. I don't think Ekta's team had any of this in mind but it happened anyway. At least we see it from that perspective even if they don't. They simply aren't smart enough!!
As the show may go off air soon, what's stopping us from viewing the Shiv/Gauri relationship the way we want to?? The reluctant yet growing love for Gauri in shiv's heart cannot be stopped even if he wants to. Everytime he feels bad about the impending betrayal, Shiv goes to pieces. Latest case in pt, the shower scene.
I fervently hope that it's shiv who tells Gauri the truth and not Shashank or Devika. Nikhila is so sure it'll be one of them as it is unthinkable for her that Shiv might be the one.
She deserves to get the biggest shock of her life to be delivered by her ladla baccha!!
