STAR One and Idea to launch 'Idea Ek Se Badhkar Ek'

MUMBAI, November 30</>STAR is set to launch yet another advertiser funded programme, this time on STAR One. The show is in association with cellular service provider Idea. The show is called 'Idea Ek Se Badhkar Ek' and, beginning December 23, will beam Saturdays at 8pm.
'Idea Ek Se Badhkar Ek' is a countdown show which will include categories such as 'Top 10 Action Heroes', 'Top 10 Love Triangles', 'Top 10 Sizzling Singles'. It will feature celebrity interviews, graphics, special effects and montages.
The countdown show will be hosted by television actors Manoj Bohra and Tina Parekh. STAR One hopes to consolidate its weekend viewing with the show, which will ensure a great amount of interactivity and give away prizes to viewers in each episode.
Paritosh Joshi, president, advertising, sales and distribution, STAR India, says, "Idea is a young brand and this association and the programme will reach out to STAR One's audiences just like it has in the past with shows such as 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', 'Nach Baliye' and 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai'."
Pradeep Shrivastava, CMO, Idea, says, "STAR One is a channel that appeals to the youth and this is a great opportunity to connect one on one with our audience. It's a unique way of reaching out to young consumers by exploring the synergies between our products and the channel."
