I am glad that they are showing Purvi's story till her marriage and giving good closure to the dowry issue they brought up in the very first week. Not only will Purvi get married on her own terms - without giving dowry and with a guy who likes her for who she is- she also learnt in the process to stand up for herself and her father, of course with the help of ChhanChhan. She is now more confident about herself, economically independent and knows she can support herself and her family and can face crisis. An important lesson for women of 21st century.
I really liked that the dowry issue was dealt with in a wholistic manner, rather than a hero/ heroin coming to the wedding, giving a lecture and resolving the problem in a dramatic manner. Here they tackled it step- by- step, showing growth in Purvi's character, in a more realistic and sensible way. They also gave everyone a spine- Purvi's father who stopped the wedding, Purvi herself having guts to break off the wedding and refusing to bend under pressure, her fiance convincing his parents and coming back to marry Purvi without dowry. ChhanChhan and her family supported Purvi but the final decision regarding her life was always taken by Purvi. The way it should be. We all are ultimately responsible for our lives.
Looking forward to see what other issues this show will address and hope they deal with them in the same sensible manner.
