Chapter#20

"Will you be able to do what I will do?" Arnav whispered near her ear. Khushi looked here and there to find a way to escape but to no avail she nodded a yes.

"Sure?" Arnav asked tilting his head a little.

Khushi didn't utter anything. In a matter of seconds he leaned in as he kissed her cheek. Khushi was startled by his action. The crimson colour as usual occupied her cheeks and her eyes and become wide as car wheels. She looked at him in shock and tried to run but Arnav being the quick one caught her wrist and in order this happened both of them fell on the bed on top of each other. Khushi was beneath Arnav. Arnav kept smirking where as Khushi's eyes were round. Arnav stared at her in admiration and then tucked the strand of hair behind her ear which had been blocking his view. Khushi tried to get up but Arnav pushed her back on the bed and gripped her more tightly, not tight enough to wound her.

She was nervous; she didn't know what to do. He looked at her changing expressions. From worried to nervous and from nervous to shy. The thing he loved was happening, her cheeks were slight pink and her nose was pink as well. He flicked her nose.

"Pir say lal hogayi." Arnav said with a smirk. Saying this he got up, pulling her with him. Khushi was still in surprise and was brought back to the situation as the bathroom door closed with a click. As he got out, without facing him Khushi rushed to the bathroom. When Khushi came out of the washroom Arnav pretended to sleep on the left side of the bed. Khushi came and saw Arnav sleeping knowing that he did it on purpose. She left a sigh out and took the other pillow with a quilt and went to the sofa which was big enough for her. She was really tired; she didn't know when she fell into deep slumber.

After a few minutes, Arnav didn't feel any movement nor any protest by Khushi. He got up and to his surprise he saw her sleeping on the sofa. He felt guilty, although he was just trying to annoy her and didn't do anything on purpose. He got up and looked at her for a while.

Arnav removed the quilt and picked her up in his muscular arms. She didn't have any weight; it was like he had picked up two soft pillows. He positioned her on the bed carefully not to wake her up on the left side. He was about to move away when he felt a tug at his hand. He looked as a sleeping Khushi was cuddling on to his hand. He tried to take his hand out from her soft hold but he instead slipped beside her, took her into his arms and slept peacefully.

Khushi woke up due to the sun rays peeking from the curtains and touching her face. She felt something warm touching her body; she slowly looked up and saw Arnav looking down at her. She looked around nervously; she was on the left side with her head resting on Arnav's chest. Khushi looked back at Arnav.

"How did I...?" Khushi said confusedly but he cut her off.

"I brought you here. You wanted to sleep on the left side." Arnav said huskily with a lopsided smile.

"But you..." Khushi began but was cut off again.

"Yes I was just trying to annoying you... I had no intentions to upset you or make you hate me." Arnav said caressing Khushi's cheek. Khushi slightly smiled at Arnav. She was getting up when he pulled her back and said...

"I didn't say I won't take revenge from you for not letting me sleep on my favorite side." Arnav said in a serious tone.

And without getting any response or reaction from her, he bent down and took her lips in his. It was short and sweet. He moved back to see Khushi but she hadn't even closed her eyes, they had always been wide in shock. He chuckled and got up from the bed. Just before he could enter the washroom, his phone rang. He looked at it and saw Anjali's name flashing on the screen.

"Di? Itni subah?" Arnav's eyebrows twisted and he picked up the call.

"Hello Di? Is everything okay?" Arnav asked.

"Chote, Nani..." Anjali said crying on the other end.

"What? What happened to Nani?" Arnav anxiously asked. Khushi got worried and quickly walked up to Arnav.

"Chote... she had a heart-attack. We all rushed to the hospital about an hour ago. The Doctors aren't sure about her situation but we all are hoping for the best." Anjali said in a worried tone.

"What?" Arnav asked in disbelief.

"Chote is there any way you could cancel your trip and come back, please?" Anjali asked hesitantly.

"I don't care about the deal. We are coming back from the next flight." Arnav said.

"Okay Chote." Anjali said and shut the phone.

Arnav kept the phone on his table and told Khushi about Nani.

"I'm so sorry Khushi. I wanted to spend time with you and this..." Arnav said.

"No Arnav. It's not a big deal we can come later but Nani is more important than this trip." Khushi said comforting Arnav as he smiled at her.

"I'm just going to inform Akash and Payal. You pack the bags, okay? "Arnav said as he left.

"Okay..." Khushi said.

They all packed their stuff up as quickly as possible, they were all worried. Booking seats wasn't a problem for Arnav he got seats for the four of them and had a flight back to India the same night. As soon as they got there Arnav told the driver to take their luggage back to the house later and drop them off to the Hospital first. They ran to the room Nani was in. They saw Anjali and Mami there.

"Chote, Akash." Anjali said getting. She ran up to them and hugged them.

"Everything will be fine Di." Arnav whispered, hugging her back.

A few minutes after Anjali told them what exactly happened, Nani had gained conscious but she was still weak, she asked Arnav and Akash to come and sit next to her.

"Chote, Akash... I want you both... to get married as soon as possible. No one knows how much life I have so I want you both to get married in-front of my eyes." Nani said meekly.
