The biggest flaw in their characters has been their impulsiveness: Where Aarti is impulsive in actions, Yash is just so with his words. Even after a near-perfect understanding that they seemed to have developed in their marriage, this chink in the armor has remained...a chink that threatens to become a chasm under such a tragic circumstance.
Yash's anger is justified. His dam of patience burst today and he gave a much-needed reality check to Aarti , which under normal lovey-dovey interactions he would never have been able to convey. So yes a part of his anger was very real today. Yet I am very sure that a bigger part of that anger display was a show for the benefit of a certain woman. Two/three instances were a dead giveaway. Aarti had told Yash over the phone about the events leading up to the kidnapping, yet at home he brought up the issue in a manner as if he had no idea just so there is a showdown and Aarti would come out of it looking all wrong. He even defended Ishita's interference. Under normal circumstances, howsoever angry he may be, Yash would never, never accuse Aarti of hatching lies and cooking excuses to save her skin...and that too when her child is concerned. Aarti apologizes at the drop of a hat...everyone has seen and experienced that. She apologizes even when she is on the clear. Yash of all persons knows that about her...knows that Aarti would never use her kids as her shield. Even Aarti at that point was completely stunned. Till then she understood his anger and was only trying to make him listen to her, but Ishita kept on interrupting her. When Aarti rushed away from there, Yash had a pained look in his eyes. Yash was on a mission there, giving Ishita exactly what she needed to see.
Another thing, when he had loosened his tongue so much in front of everyone, why was he harboring a pent-up anger while in room...an anger that he took out on the pencil, hurting himself in the process. If he was so angry outside, he would have carried that anger in to the room and should have double blasted Aarti in the privacy of their room, but he didn't...which makes me wonder whether that particular anger was altogether for a different reason...he was angry on himself for being forced to be so cruel to Aarti at a time when he should have been there to support her in her grief and not play the blame game. The moment of blaming should have come later. He knew Ishita was listening in. Now, if he is working on exposing Ishita and going solo at it, isn't he doing exactly the same thing as Aarti...albeit in a different manner? Anyway, I think when Aarti called him about the kidnapping, some things must have clicked for Yash...primarily the earlier two attempts at kidnapping. In the hospital, Ishita could have easily succeeded...I feel Ishita was in Yash's radar ever since. So when the kidnapping actually happened, his suspicions would first be on Ishita...The telephone call deletions and his own call that Ishita answered would all act as clues. Especially when he knows that Aarti never lies to him...not for herself.
Yash was deliberately going overboard in his anger. See, if he suspects Ishita, then he also knows that she is the only person who knows the whereabouts of Aayu. I also feel that he knows that Ishita has him in her mind, so if has to extract Aayu's information from her, he has to put Aarti into bad light and show Ishita that he has had enough of Aarti. Of the many things he said to Aarti, he also said this, "With this, everything is over between us." Why would he use such words of finality if he was not trying to put a message across? I am not sure CVs will take a risk of authentic anger of such a proportion at this juncture.
This confrontation was so required...not because of the kidnapping but otherwise also. Because they had found love after so many hurdles and misunderstandings, they were letting that love deluge their other emotions like irritation, annoyance, and exasperation, which too are so integral to growth in a marriage.
One more kidnapping took them all the way back to that first kidnapping (Ansh's)...when Aarti blamed Yash. Today Yash (apparently) blames Aarti. Because they didn't resolve such outstanding issues and tried to move on only with the belief that love will conquer all that, today we have a situation when anger has again raised its ugly head. Even if it turns out that it was a display on Yash's part, Aarti won't be able to deny the truth of some of those accusations when she introspects later...and she will do that. This is the first time when Yash has really worded her flaws...Although I shall question the timing, but they sure hit home. Knowing Aarti, I am sure she will work upon them. I don't think she will distance herself now...that would have been the case earlier, not now. She is bound to take the guilt road and blame herself for being a bad mother, but Yash will handle that once he cools down. He never holds his anger against Aarti for long.
By the way, I feel it's high time someone switched Ishita's phone. Maybe bua will oblige. Also, I guess the kidnappers didn't have it in their heart to kill the baby so they left him in the orphanage. They seemed a decent lot...what with trying to pacify Aayu and get him milk...much more humane than their boss lady.đĄ
