I was so annoyed today when Haseena called Dilshad 'chhodi huyi aurat'. Really! You can only point to a woman when the relationship breaks up, why can't you say anything to the man? Rashid who left DIlshad was standing 2 feet away, couldn't you tell him 'chhodta huya admi, sharam aani chahiye" but no the blame and accusation will always be heaped on the wife! Ridiculous!
But if the tables were turned and Dilshad left Rashid then too the blame in full force would have been bestowed on Dilshad. 'Kya aurat hai, apne pati ka lihaaz nahi kiya, apne bachchon ke baare mein socha nahi, chhod ke chali gayi, laanat hai iss pe', they would have said this. Such a male dominated society, jeet bhi unke, pat bhi unke!
Not one person said or reprimanded Rashid for leaving such a beautiful and intelligent wife but every one accuses and points a finger at Dilshad for no fault of hers. They don't see her struggles, her bringing up her 2 kids all by herself, her staying single and living only for her kids doesn't mean anything.
In every region and state and field of work women are levelling higher and higher along with men but even today in these family matters they are the ones held responsible, the major criteria for getting married after how she looks will be 'whether she can cook or not', no one asks the boy 'can he cook' as if that domain should be totally alien to him. India has progressed so much in every respect and yet in some basic matters its still regressive.
That dialogue of today's episode made me so mad.

very nice post...I was yesterday watching old QH episodes n I remember this line by Zoya, "Is Mulk Mein Sare rulses n regulations aurton(women) k liye hi hain"...
n how true is this...only a woman is blamed if her husband leaves her, if she is a widow, if she is a single parent...why????
Why doesn't someone points a finger at this loser coward who left a loving wife like Dilshad and his two young kids...he married another woman, had kids with her, again left his second wife, came back to the first one...burnt a factory, n went back to the second wife!!🤢
I really hate the double standards our society holds!!! I hav lots to vent out but ending my post here for now😃
