I Only Have Eyes for You
She notices she has splayed color on his neck and he has grabbed her wrist as not to touch him again with the pink color on that hand. They stand there for what seems like hours but it is only a few moments lost in each other eyes, so close, so intimate. She realizes their closeness and steps back.
Anjali comes asking what that noise was and sees the spoiled Rangoli and a colored Arnav. She asks what happened and Arnav looks away and Kushi answers the stool slipped. She says no problem they can redesign. I am surprised she didn't ask her Chote if he was okay. Mami comes and tells Arnav he has the wrong holiday. It is Holi that you play with colors. Lavanya ask Kushi to come to her room and before they leave, Arnav and Kushi share a glance, and as Lavanya takes her to her room his eyes follow.
In Lavanya's room she asks Kushi to show her how to drape a sari; she would like to wear one for the holiday. Kushi shows her but Lavanya isn't getting it so Lavanya takes the sari off as says you show me.
Across the way, Arnav has changed and is now watering his plants. I never realized how close the guest room was to Arnav's room but he looks up as he is watering his plants there is a gust of wind and he sees Kushi draping the sari. He is mesmerized. She feels it too and looks up at him. All his attention is now placed on her and not of watering his plants. His eyes fixed on her and hers on him. Rabba Ve.
Lavanya breaks his spell on her by poking Kushi and she snaps out of it, "huh?" Lavanya asks what happened why did she stop and to continue teaching her. Kushi tries to show her how to make the folds in the sari but with his eyes fixed on her she has difficulty concentrating. All it takes is one look from his chocolate puppy dog eyes, eyes only for her, and she is in another dimension. The folds of the sari slip from her hand, eyes fixed on each other, her heart beats.. dhak dhak, her breath hitches …a little pant; Lavanya looks up and sees ASR. She calls out to him and tells him his plant's water is overflowing. He snaps out of it and realizes what just happened. He looks at her again, both fix their eyes on the other aware that something has happened again. Sweet oblivious Lavanya smiles and goes back to Kushi. She taps Kushi on the shoulder who is somewhere else in another stratosphere, she jumps and La says, "sari." Kushi tells Lavanya she is not feeling well and she has to go get some medicine.
Yes Kushi, being in the ASR stratosphere can make you light headed, tachycardic and dyspneac. You go and try to find a medicine for the symptoms of love and attraction.
Kushi is walking and blaming her Lord Govenor for her symptoms and her mind's thoughts. He shouldn't have…I wouldn't have… She calls out for the rickshaw. She gets in the auto and is praying to Devi Maiyya for her shakti again when suddenly the driver turns around she hears, "what the" and pictures Arnav as the driver. She jumps out of the auto and we see the driver who is most definitely not Arnav come out yelling after her.
She recalls her words to Payal that when you love someone you see them everywhere.
She runs away and says to Devi Maiyya that whatever is happening isn't right. What is happening to her? Is this a fever or illness? She answers herself no nothing is wrong she is fine. Nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong.
She sees the security guard and says Namaste and when he turns she pictures him as Arnav again. Nahi! She runs away and leaves the guard wondering what happened to her. She runs into the RM and meets with the Laundryman who again looks like Arnav to her, she runs away from him. Praying Devi Maiyya she is feeling dizzy, she doesn't understand what is going on. She will close her eyes and she will definitely not see him and lo and behold she smacks right into him, the REAL Arnav Singh Raizada. Who has her in his arms, holding her arms length aaway, but their eyes fixed on one another, only for each other.
Again she recalls her conversation with Payal about love that flowers will shower ddown and she will catch stars in her veil and just at that moment that is exactly what happens. Rose petal cascade from the ceiling upon the two and then stars and sparkles are being showere and she sees him tossing them gently at her. She is blissfully happy…
Until he shakes her, "Kushi!" She realizes she has been day dreaming and shakes out her dupatta. She asks what is happening and says she had glittler in her veil and she looks at him who the says to her sister said you went for medicine. She said no medicines won't work that is why she came back. It is not a normal fever. She leaves, he turns calls her, Kushi…What the?
Kushi is now walkjing home from work and talking with Devi Maiyya. She says to her she has aslked for one sign but so many? She again recalls her words to Payal of her description of when she will find her love. She has seen him everywhere and in everyone. She has been showered with roses and the stars from above. She is not all right she asked for one sign. Lightening and thunder crashes. She says and you have shown me so many.
"That's why I don't want to get married!"

Kuahi gets to her home ofcourse when she worries she is eating her chana. Buaji opens the door says she is getting more and more confused everyday. Of course she is Buaji she just realized she is in love with Arnav and is being coerced to marry Shyam.
Kushi takes her father's medicine walks past Shyam who is saying she is late and murmurs she will be back after giving her father medicine. Kushi is reminiscing with her father about Diwali and what they use to do when she was yuounger. I love that Kushi treats him with the same love and affection and is always encouraging. She says to him she will bring him sweets for Diwali and then they will celebrate and he will soon recover. His eyes are full of stories even though his mouth can't express his words. With tears in her eyes she calls herself a crazy girl and she will go and see what her aunt wants since she is calling her. Shyam was spying on them he only has eyes for her.
Mami is lighting lamps and Akash sees a golden one that reminds him of the lam Payal liked. She refused his gift saying she can not taking any favor from him. Payal is also lighting lamps and thinking about Akash.
Kushi is sitting outside under the stars and the moon tears rooling down her cheeks. A cup of tea has been placed beside her. Shyam sits down and Kushi wipes her tears. He says she seems tensed, would she like some tea? She refuse but he says then here and hands her a sweet box. Jalebi, of course. He says he knows they are not as sweet as her father's shop but he hopes it sweetens her Diwali. She smiles and thanks him. He says before she leaves for her to have a look and he call Buaji who turns on the lights. The house is all decorated for Diwali with lanterns and fairy lights. He says no matter how deep the darkness be I'll always try to brighten your life. He will always be with her. He only has eyes for her. Her smile seems to have slowly disappeared, as she remembers the one who should be beside her always. She sees in her mind Arnav placing his hand on her head at the hospital, Kushi is thinking deeply about it when Shyam reaches and takes her hand , placing his hand on top of hers; she is startled and pulss her hand and steps away from him. She drops the jalebi box and runs into the house.
Garima catches her and asks if Shyam said anything to her. She tells her mother leave it they will talk about it later. Her mom says why don't you say anything? She asks what she thinks about the marriage. She says "tell me, my child" and Kushi can't answer her, she walks away.
Kushi is worried and when our girl gets worried she makes jalebi's, mountains of them. She is in deep thought, pros and cons, one hand and the other. On one hand her aunt and her mother are forcing her to get engaged to Shyam, her father is not well and on the other hand Arnav has been in her thoughts constantly. She asks herself how she can consent to this marriage then in this situation. What will be her decision? She daydreams of what itwould be like to be married to both men. Her image with Arnav very loving, sensuous and he snapping at her as always while her image with Shyam is one sided, him praising her all the time. There is no chemistry. She snaps out of it yelling at herself. This time, though, her jalebi has given her the answer. It has come out not in a round swirl but given her the name of her beloved, ARNAV.
Dear Kushi,
How many signs does Devi Maiyya have to give you for you to see the answer, even your jalebi came in the shape of his name! The gust of wind, the pull of the attraction,the distraction and the overflowing water and those eyes, those chocolate brown, puppy dog eyes, which Only have Eyes for You!
