Chapter 14 B
They reached the ferry on schedule. After standing in the line, Arnav got on the ferry and turned behind. He forwarded his hand for Khushi. She took his hand and climbed upon the ferry. And they both got in, not realizing their hands were still entwined in each other's fingers.
Khushi and Arnav strolled through the ferry. The ferry was a very huge boat. All in shape of a tiny Titanic. The entire ferry boat was decorated very alluringly. Fairy lights adorned each and every border of the boat. There were two decks, lower and upper, in the boat. A huge red ball, mostly kept for lightning the boat, was placed right in center of the boat. Though the boat was just used for transporting people from one port to another, it was very well maintained. Not even a strand of dirt was anywhere to be seen. Even the locals carefully visited the ferry and left it without any ado.
The journey till Toronto Islands was short. But both of them walked through the ferry, not missing even a glimpse. Still hand in hand, Khushi said, "It is beautiful, na? My first ferry journey was a month back. Even I was really excited as I came with Lavanya."
"That reminds me, why didn't Lavanya and her Harry come?" Arnav said, naturally very excited as he did not actually want them. The reason to why he wanted this, was still not known to him.
"I don't know. I called her but, her boyfriend, is too possessive of her."
Arnav started laughing as soon as Khushi mentioned about Lavanya's 'boyfriend.' Khushi understood and she too laughed with him. ''I still can't believe." Khushi said.
"Me too. Anyway, what's so special about Toronto Islands?" Arnav asked and they both stopped walking and stood by the edge of the boat, looking at the passing islands and moving water.
"The Toronto Islands," Khushi said,"are a chain of small islands in the western part of Lake Ontario, the Toronto Islands are located just offshore from the city centre. They are very beautiful And today there are.."
Khushi stopped mid way, Arnav looked at Khushi. "And today?" he asked.
"You will see. I won't say anything now." she smiled. "OK"
The ferry ride got over and Khushi suddenly realized they were standing hand-in-hand for a long time. She immediately withdrew her hand. Arnav realized her jerk, looked at her and then at their now separate hands. He then looked at her again, shocked. They both tried their best to look away. Shit! How I didn't realize this!? DEvi Maiyyaa! Hey Bhagwan, Khushi said to herself, as usual.
They both got off the boat, still not looking at each other directly. Arnav looked at khushi who was looking nowhere in particular. She looked at him and saw that he was looking back at her. She immediately looked away. He used his hand and shifted her face towards him, now facing him. "Happens, Khushi. No need to feel awkward." Arnav said and winked at her. She smiled back.
Arnav saw Toronto Islands and found it really beautiful. The entire islands were lush with green color. Something very enchanting about then. On one side there was a garden, where there very less children as it was pass 7 o clock and dark. They walked further ahead and there were many restaurants, shops and cafes in a line. The island was padded with ample and ample of people. There was no place to move or walk around freely. Arnav felt very suffocated at first but then he realized he wanted this. He wanted people. He didn't want to be alone. Just people, and like minded people.
"Wait." Khushi said and took his hand in her. She pulled him through the crowd and he felt he was actually getting a free massage from the people there!
Finally they reached the place Khushi was taking him and she left his hold. Arnav saw himself in a very quite and almost empty place. He saw himself on a beach! Khushi had pulled him to the extreme border of the islands on the open beach. There were less people here as compared to the main hub. This place was.. quite, beautiful and serene. They could see the now raised moon.
Khushi pulled out a blanket from her bag. She unfolded it and placed properly on the beach and gestured Arnav to sit on it. Arnav removed his shoes and kept it on one side. He then took the blanket in his hold and folded it perfectly. He then gave it to Khushi. Khushi gave him a questionable look.
'Keep it. I want to sit on the soil." Arnav said,
"But..."
"But what Khushi? I'm no prince that you will have to do this."
Khushi smiled and sat on the soil next to him. They were quiet for sometime. They both looked at the quite sea.
"Isn't it beautiful? I love it." Khushi said.
Arnav looked at Khushi and a smile dazzled on his face. "It's very beautiful." Arnav said and smiled at her.
He looked around the beach. He found that there were actually very less people on the beach. he also observed that no one sat on the beach. All were either walking or out of beach within sometime. He then saw 2 policemen were walking, no actually, running towards them. It took him less than 20 seconds to realize that they were on a restricted beach! A beach were no one else was allowed except some people!
"Khushi! How many times have you come here before?"
"It's my first time. Why?" Khushi asked, not realizing the storm which was awaiting for her.
"Shit! This is a restricted beach!"
"What! Oh god! Look at those policemen coming here! Lets run!" Khushi shouted.
Arnav looked at the police and then at Khushi. Khushi was about to take her shoes and run, that's what she planned. But Arnav's thought was something else. He caught Khushi's hand and her eyes popped out. "What are you do.." Khushi could not complete her sentence as Arnav pulled her on himself. He pushed her beneath him and got on top of her. But before Khushi could say anything, Arnav kissed her fully on her lips.
Arnav placed his both hands under her petite body. Smelling her fragrance until every cell of his body took take in the aroma, he deepened their kiss. In the initial few moments, Khushi was completely shocked and dumbfound. But slowly, she garlanded her hands around Arnav's neck and responded to his kiss with the equal vigor. His tongue danced and tasted each and every corner of her delicious and enduring mouth. Khushi, still under his ongoing spell, stroke her fingers in his hair, pulling his head more towards her head or her lips.
Khushi tried to withdraw from the kiss, as she wanted to breathe badly but surely, Arnav was in no mood to even leave the touch of her sweet lips for once. He slowly unplaced his left hand under Khushi's body and placed it on her cheek. Their eyes were tightly shut and their ears were about to be deaf within no time as it was a very passionate smooch which could make anyone weak in their knees.
The police men ran and reached towards them They found a couple who were having the most intimate sequence of their life on a restricted beach! Karl, one of the two police men shouted at Arnav and Khushi, who were lost in their charms, "Hey you! You are not allowed here doing...umm.. this!"
He got no reply from them and he looked at his friend. Pissed and not even looking at him while he is talking, he turned towards them and shouted, "Can you hear what I'm saying?!" he growled. Still there was no reply. He shrieked loudly and got of the place with his friend.
Khushi heard the shriek and slowly opened her eyes. She realized in what state they were and what were they doing on a beach and suddenly jerked up. Arnav, whose lips were still on her lips, popped open his eyes. For a second or two he did not realize but then reality stuck him. They both got up suddenly and looked everywhere but not each other.
Khushi straightened her top which went up and revealed her belly and with the back of her hand, quickly cleaned up her lips and her neck which had traces of Arnav's continuous assault on her. Arnav just looked at her when she did so and a dark red color blush summed up his face.
They both stood there, grounded on the ground, not even understanding what to do and when to do what. Arnav looked at Khushi's face and then her lips, and thought how badly he wanted to taste those again. He had no idea how he couldn't control himself. Khushi, on the other hand just wanted to run of the beach, from him. She didn't want to stand there at least, next to him, next to her unforgettable embarrassment
In a fraction of a second, both of them heard roars of people and Khushi suddenly realized what it was. Her head darted immediately towards the sky and Arnav's eyes followed. They were glowing lanterns which were lightened in the sky.
Sky lanterns or Wish Lanterns are miniature hot air balloons that are released in the sky for special events or occasions. It's said that if you wish something while blowing and releasing it, the wish which you asked for comes true. It's a very beautiful sight to be witnessed, especially during full moon nights.
LANTERNS:
Khushi saw the lanterns, picked up her heels and ran towards the station. Arnav also ran behind her and within no time they were at the spot where they were releasing the lanterns. The view which Arnav witnessed was again very beautiful. So many lanterns were in the sky and there were many more to go which were about to be released.
"This is beautiful." Arnav said, not looking at Khushi, but just the lanterns which he could locate and within seconds that lanterns just disappeared and he saw the other.
"I know.' Khushi said with a smile, not looking at Arnav but also she completely forgot what happened just 5 minutes back. Arnav heard her and could not believe his ears. Did she just answer me? No.. Oh yes. She did. Yes!
Khushi looked at ARnav and said, "Do you want to lit one?"
Clearly wanting to talk, Arnav thought to himself. "YES!" he screamed. They got one lanterns each for them and lit it.
Arnav asked for something...
Khushi asked for something...
They both opened their eyes, and released the lanterns in the open sky, accompanying the other wishes, the other lanterns. Everything was so beautiful. They both just stood there looking at the lanterns and then each other. Suddenly, they forgot about the ongoing lanterns and just felt drooling in each other's eyes.
