The gang was sitting at a table in the college canteen.

Rinni: Aaj kitna bore hone waala hai! Prof. Shukla ke do lectures in succession! So boring!

Amar: Itna bole nahi hoga, Linni. Aaj Plof. Thukla nahi aaye!

Vicky: Matlab 2 free lectures in succession!

Bharat: Aur Shukla bhi nahi.

Gang: Prof. Shukla.

Bharat: Abe wahi bola maine.

Taani : Waise guys, agar free time hai, toh kuch interesting karte hai.

Neha : Right Taani is. Aisehi class mein baithkar time pass karne se better hai kuch achcha karein.

That moment, the peon came to them and said, "Taani ma'am?"

"Haan?" Taani said. The peon continued, "Taani ma'am, aapko VP sir ne bulaya hai. Jaldi aa jaiye." and then he left.

Nilesh said, "Yaar ye VP sir na kabhi kabhi kaali billi ban jaate hai." Amar asked in a confused voice, "Kaali billi?" Nilesh explained, "Haan, kaali billi. Jabhi hum koi achcha ya interesting kaam karne jaate hai, ye VP sir aake koi na koi problem khadi kar dete hai."

Taani said, "Achcha woh sab chodo. Main nikalti hoon. Agar lecture ke time tak nahi pahunchi, aur aap logo ne kahi jaane ka plan banaya toh please mujhe text karke bata dena?"

"Sure, why not." Rey replied.

"Okay, bye." Saying so, Taani left.

In VP sir's cabin –

Taani knocked on the cabin door. "Come in." The VP said.

Taani went inside and said, "Sir, aapne bulaya?"

"Oh, Taani. Tum ho? Yes, maine tumhe bulaya tha."

"Kyun, kya hua sir?"

"Tumhe koi offer mila tha kya, for the play you wrote/"

"Yes sir."

"Okay. Jin logo ne tumhe ye offer diya tha, un logo ka tumhare liye letter aaya hai. Wahi tumhe dena tha." He handed over the letter to Taani.

Taani asked, 'sit? Toh kya main jaa sakti hoon? mere friends wait kar rahe hai bahar."

"Of course, you may leave."

"Thank you sir."

Taani ran towards the canteen. The gang was still there at the table.

Simmi saw her coming, and said, "Are Taani. Tum aa gayi? Mujhe toh lag raha tha ki VP sir toh tumhe do-tin ghante to vapas nahi bhejhenge."

Taani said, beaming, "Woh log hai na, jinho ne humari play dekhkar offer bhejha tha, unke taraf se letter aaya hai."

Sharon said impatiently, "Toh baatein kya kar rahi ho? Open it quickly!"

Taani tore the letter open. It had the details of the channel and their offer.

Vicky said, "Agar in logo ne letter aur unke details bhejhe hai, toh they must be serious about the offer."

Nilesh smacked Vicky on his head and said, "Idiot! Offer ke baare mein serious hai, isi liye toh details bhejhe hai."

Swayam said, "Guys! Order jo koi bhi ho, important yahi hai ke they are serious about their offer to Taani! I'm so proud of you Taani!"

Taani said in a tensed voice, "Bhai woh sab toh thik hai, but woh log keh rahe hai ki mujhe ye play unhe two weeks mein complete karke dena hoga! Kitna kam time hai!"

Rinni said, "Koi baat nahi, yaar! Two weeks is a long time, aur tum agar two days mein play likh sakti ho, toh two weeks mein jaroor extend kar sakti ho!"

"I hope so." Taani replied.

The day ended. It had been fun-filled, and happy as usual for the gang, but it was more than usually exciting for Taani. Her dream of becoming a professional writer was going to come true.

However, this was about Taani. What about Rey? How was his day? To be frank, his day was as normal as it usually did. Nevertheless, that night, he did a very important work. It was not so significant for him, but very important for us. That night, Rey wrote in his diary, his account of what happened between him and Taani the night before.

He wrote –

That night, something awoke me. I opened my eyes and saw Taani. She had probably dozed off sitting there. She was still holding my hand tightly. There was no way I could lift Taani up and carry her to her room. So, I tried the more easier option. I readjusted her position so that she was more comfortable. Then I lied down on the other end of the bed, trying to keep a respectable distance between us and not fall down from the bed. But Taani moved closer to me. A lock of her hair was touching her eyes, and she seemed to be troubled with it. I brushed her hair away from her eyes and tucked it behind her ear. She moved more closer to me. My left arm was now around her waist and our fingers were still tightly entwined. She whimpered in her sleep, perhaps due to some bad dream. I pulled her toward me gently, and kissed her forehead. A little while later, I fell asleep. Next day, in the morning when I saw Taani standing in front of me when I woke up, I remembered what had happened that night and the only thing that came to my mind was, "What had happened to me and what in the world was I thinking while doing all that?"

Rey, probably you don't know what had happened to you but we surely know, don't we? Lekin hum jankar kya hone waala hai? The golden day will be the one when you realize it.

The next day dawned. Swayam got ready almost one hour early. He went to his room and opened the cupboard and brought out a small but nicely decorated box. Then, he went to Taani's room and knocked on the door. "Taani, can you please open the door?" he called.

Taani didn't respond. Swayam called once more. "Taani, are you there?"

The doorbell rang. Swayam went to the door and opened it. It was Rey and Sharon.

Swayam: Tum dono yaha?

Rey: Yeah, woh actually, hum jaldi ready hogaye the is liye yaha aa gaye.

Sharon: Waise Swayam, phone kyon nahi utha rahe the?

Swayam: Haan, woh mera phone living room mein tha, aur main Taani ke room ke bahar tha. Anyways, come in." he said, stepping aside to let Rey and Sharon in.

Swayam went to Taani's room and knocked again. "Taani! Andar ho toh please answer toh karo."

Rey went over to him, "Kya hua, Swayam? Koi problem hai?"

Swayam replied, "Taani ko kabse bula raha hoon, par woh answer hi nahi kar rahi."

Rey: Are bathroom mein hogi. Ya phir busy hogi. Tu itni tension kyun le raha hai?"

Swayam: Kyunki Taani subah 6 baje uthkar 6:30 tak ready bhi ho jaati hai. It's 7 now. Aur woh room se bahar tak nahi aayi.

Sharon joined them. "Ek aur baar knocked karte hain." She said and then knocked, "Taani, are you in?"

They got no response. They were knocking for fifteen minutes. They were very worried by now. But Taani didn't respond.

Precap: Swayam and Rey open Taani's room by pushing the door hard. They get very astounded by what they see.
