v - "Where do you want to stay?"

j - "Somewhere central so its easy to get to places"

v - "Okay, did you find any tickets?"

j - "Yeah, they're kinda pricey though"

v - "How much?"

j - "$500 each for ours and around $300 for Zaaine"

v - "Won't really get cheaper than this"

j - "True, maybe we shouldn't go"

v - "Why not?"

j - "It's too expensive"

v - "Yeah but we paid around this much when we went four years ago"

j - "Four years ago we went for our wedding. Plus we didn't have 500 new responsibilities like we now do"

v - "We did have that many responsibilities. Its not like our responsibilities are going to get less anytime soon are they? I mean now we're going to have another little baby and its the best time to go out. Zaaine will enjoy it, plus we have never gone out for a proper vacation. And didn't you say you wanted to give Zaaine some time. What better than this?"

j - "It's not that I don't, but"

v - "But what?"

j - "I'm just scared Viren. I don't know why, and ughh just frustrated right now"

v - "Why Jeevs? I have an idea. You want to call along the four other idiots also?"

j - "Yeah that would be a nice change. I'll talk to Karan and Zoya"

v - "Okay and I'll call Virat and Manvi once I get home. By the way, when do we tell Zaaine?"

j - "Not for sometime"

v - "Yeah, I was thinking that too"

j - "Zaaine are you done?"

z - "Yes mommy. Mommy you make me sleep please"

j - "I have to go to the hospital Zaaine. I'll make you sleep tomorrow night promise"

z - "Mommy you no drop me to school tomorrow?"

j - "No I'm sorry"

z - "Nooo mommy please" he said hiding his face in her stomach

Jeevika looked at Viren a little helpless. Viren got up from his seat and picked Zaaine up who was now crying.

v - "Zaaine, why are you crying? It's okay I will drop you tomorrow okay. And lets think make a list of all the things you need to buy for your vacation. Are you going to take your Cars backpack or Spiderman backpack?"

Zaaine didn't answer him but just hugged Viren placing his head on his shoulder.

v - "He's so emotional just like you"

j - "Here give him to me" she said taking him in her arms.

Jeevika knew Zaaine was tired plus he was feeling bad that they left him this morning without saying bye. He fell asleep on Jeevika as they both were still working out the details of their trip.

j - "Viren can we leave now? I have rounds in sometime"

v - "Yup lets go"

They both packed their stuff and Jeevika carried Zaaine outside to the car as he was still asleep. She put him in his carseat and kissed his cute little cheeks. She looked at him and realized how much he was looking like Viren. The same cheeks, the same hair, the same eyes which drove her crazy.

v - "You need me to buckle you up now?"

j - "No Viren I can do it myself, thanks for the offer" 😊

v - "You sure? I don't mind heaping you" 😆

j - "Positive"

Viren drove off to the hospital and dropped Jeevika near the entrance.

j - "Sorry for making you run around today"

v - "It's okay. Don't worry. Make sure you eat dinner please"

j - "I will. And I'll call you tonight before Zaaine has to go to bed"

v - "Okay. He's going to want to facetime with you tonight"

j - "I know. He loves facetiming from the iPad. Don't worry I'll call after my rounds tonight before his bedtime"

v - "Love you"

j - "Love you too"

Viren drove off home. He carried Zaaine upstairs to his room and removed his shoes. He tucked him inside his bed and shut the windows as it started raining outside. He looked at Viren smiling at him asleep. Viren went back downstairs to finish his work. He wanted to finish preparing for his meeting tomorrow before Zaaine woke up. Knowing Zaaine he would ask alot of questions tonight, not only about what to do and not to do at school but of New York also. He laughed thinking about him and mentally prepared himself for his list of questions tonight. 🤣
