In the initial episodes, Zoya was stated the outsider, while Tanu was the one who knew the inside stories - jammy's likes, dislikes, serviate setting styles.
But in the episode on Friday, when Asad was shouting at Zoya, he says, "Tanu" ke baare mein kuchh mat boliye, Wo kya jane...
A very subtle, yet emphatic way to say Tanu is the outsider... Very emphatic. As such, she is supposed to be Asad's closest friend , and has witnessed him in his young, formative years. She has been shown to know him, his dislikes, and all, but suddenly, one blow of "Wo kya jaane", and Asad has stated, that she is the guest, while you are the one who knows my heart, my inner most feelings... All, he belongs to is Zoya, and Tanu, a mere outsider.
This again ties in to Dilshaad's view on love - that aired in first few episodes. LKnowing someone from the otside, is not love. And, what someone wears or does , not their character. One has to look beyond the upari cheezein, to know the real person... Tanu knows the outside , and superficial details about Asad, but only Zoya understands the child, that ides inside the skin of a lion!
