Chapter 3-
Sharon went into the shower and let the water pour. She tried to wash away all her memories. She didn't want to go back to all that. She wanted Swayam to move on but she knew it was as hard for him to move on as it was for her. Her tears mixed in with the water. She thought about everything.
About the secret admirer, their first dance together, their first fights. She remembered their lovely moments at dance camp and Nicole maam's marriage. She was recalling all of her happy times. But then came her dad.
She remembered her dad yelling at her, saying that he was fine with her being in a dance group but dating Swayam? He said something about Swayam's dad but she couldn't remember what. She only remembered the part about Swayam and how Mr. Rai Prakash had called Swayam "exactly like his dad." Sharon didn't understand this. What was wrong with Swayam's dad?
She didn't want to leave the gang, especially Swayam. They both knew they were made for each other but maybe Krishna ji didn't want it to happen. 'Krishna ji?' Sharon thought. 'I have to stop! No! It's not meant to be! No!' She bursted out in even more tears as she thought about the times Swayam used to say Krishna ji.
She heard a knock on the door. It was Jennifer. "Sharon? Are you alright?" Sharon quickly caught her voice and let out a normal yes. "Sharon, you sure right? I will be going to work so please tell me you are alright!" Sharon again said that she would be fine alone. Jennifer had left. Sharon quickly dressed and got out of the bathroom. She stepped out while wiping her hair and felt a hug from the behind. She looked at the arms and recognized them. It was Simmi. Sharon gave a hug back but then broke off.
"Why are you drifting apart, Sharon?" Simmi said. Sharon gulped. Simmi smiled and spoke again. "It's so good we found you. Do you know how much we missed you? The team missed you Sharon!" Tears almost formed in her eyes and Sharon shook her head as if saying 'please don't cry.' Aashi looked at Sharon "But why did you leave types Sharon?" Sharon really didn't have an answer for her. All she did was look at Swayam. They both locked eyes and neither could look away. Swayam returned a smile at Sharon. The usual Vicky and Nil hummed "hmmm" and Rey said "Still the same chemistry after 3 years."
Sharon broke away from Swayam's gaze. She didn't know what to say to them. "You guys shouldn't be here. Why are you here?" Everyone was confused as to why she said that. Sharon didn't mean to hurt them. She just wanted to move on but she knew it was impossible with everyone there.
"What do you mean Sharon?" Rey said.
"Never mind." Sharon looked at Rey. She went up to him for a hug. His hugs were warm and she didn't want to let go. Tears started coming out of her eyes. "Rey, I missed you!" She broke off from the hug. "Hold on. Let me go get some drinks for you." Sharon felt the tears again. She went into the kitchen. As usual Swayam had followed her. He stayed at the door, watching Sharon managing herself. He remembered the 'BYOB' party, when him and Sharon were in the kitchen and he wanted to cheer her up because she was mad at him. He remembered how he found an egg and straw and said "you know Sharon, you are egg-straw-ordinary." She had chuckled. And then he remembered the time they were handcuffed. He chuckled and Sharon turned around. She quickly turned back around. Swayam walked over to her.
"You need help?" No response. "Sharon?" Still no response. He grabbed her by the arm and turned her towards him. Sharon looked at Swayam's hand and he moved it away. "Sharon, do you not hear me or do you not want to hear me at all?" Still, she just kept staring. Swayam turned and started walking but just before he stepped out the kitchen, Sharon finally called his name.
She gulped, "Swayam, wait." She took a deep breath and started again. "I'm sorry." Swayam turned around. He looked at her confused, but she spoke no further. She grabbed the trays and walked past Swayam, into the living room, as if she hadn't spoken at all. Swayam stood there in disbelief and confusion.
