Oh my how you write...I am actually amazed how much you read to come up with the references that you do in this and in Tainted...and I know that you are not a lit student..am I right?

why does the khushi of the first three chapters here remind me of manorama of tainted? may be because of their strength and the fact that both of them gave their heart to their benefactirs? gsve their heart doesnot begin to describe what these two characters feel for their benefactors...I know there is a subtle difference there but it felt that the characters were created out of the same mould...

I've just started this story, after reading and enjoying Soulmates and the few chapters of Cafe du Soleil that I could find. And yes, what a stark difference there is between this and those two stories.

Khushi's story is very real. More and more the newspapers are reporting the horrors faced by young girls and women in so-called shelters. They are routinely sold or "rented" by their greedy, ruthless caretakers, men and women who have been entrusted to look after them and keep them safe.

I've never commented on any of your stories before because I don't know if you do read these comments any more now because as you said you keep busy with college. Still I felt compelled to write this.

Going back to read the rest of the story now.

Intriguing is the word I would use to describe what's happened so far. Intriguing and completely mesmerizing.

Six years of imprisonment...she hadn't stepped out of that house in 6 years? So all that she has learnt about the world, whether Greek mythology or sex, is only what she's got from the "copious books she had read over the past six years". Years of wishing and hoping that she would keep him happy so he would keep her safe. Heartbreaking, I think.

The white powder that you mention of and on...cocaine? Arnav, a dealer? No, please, not drugs. I do hope it's something relatively innocuous.

The Hades and Persephone story...For Khushi Arnav is her Hades, but is she Persephone to Arnav? "She was his primary concern. She was his world."

For the first 12 years of her life Khushi was nobody's concern, nobody's world. And then for just the "small" sacrifice of giving her life over to Arnav completely and unquestioningly, she became his primary concern. But is she his world? Or is she his obsession? Will he do whatever it takes to keep her safe or will he eventually again sacrifice her for his own selfish reasons?

I do hope you find the time to update this story soon, Rafa, because now I'M getting obsessed with it.

Is it just me or does anyone else also see a touch of Pygmalion here?

I have read svengali and tainted I can just say they are amazing. Actually there is a specific word to describe it, but for now I can say its just amazing. If you decide to shift svengali to the blog kindly send me an invitee.

This one is as beautiful and I really love it!!! Quite intense but... there's something about it... Arnav is attracted to her, then why did he do all of that? Why did he never express it? Why did he keep her captive? Why did he let go 6 yrs later???And now she's like soo soo broken... my heart goes out to Khushi... She loves him a lot and he has no idea... Waiting for more!!!
