AarYa's Baby
So I stopped by SM just to see how Aarti was doing after the cooking gas explosion scare.
I found all SM members except AarYa in the living room with a long face.
SP was positively sulking so I asked him what was wrong.
SP: Well I want to name AarYa baby Gayatri Prashant. You see I had promised Prashant that Aarti's baby would be named after him! At the very least I want his pet name to be Pappu!
I was stunned and absolutely speechless. Before I could collect my wits Radha voiced her opinion.
Radha: It would be better to call the baby Gayatri Prasad. Prasad is close enough to Prashant and AarYa want to call their baby Aayu which is close to Pappu!
SP looked at Radha with a frown and the tension in the room was palpable. Meanwhile Ishita chirped in.
Ishita: No, no. You guys got it wrong - never name the baby after a dead person. I think he should be named Ishita Prasad - after all it is I who brought brightness to this house!
Oh yeah I thought - but bit my tongue and held my silence as Pari gave her two cents.
Pari: I think AarYa should call the baby KARAN after Karan Johar the famous film producer not Karan Mehta .
By this time I wanted to burst out laughing but out of politeness stifled it and listened to Bua instead.
Bua: Mera Bhagwan ki kasam what is this fuss about names. It would be best if the baby is called Ram.. Ram Dulare .. that way we get to do Ram jaap and wash our sins.
Now I was positively biting my lips to prevent myself from laughing when Pankaj piped in.
Pankaj: I think after Yash's Bhishma act he should name his baby Ved Vyas who was Satyavati's son! Don't you all think that is the most appropriate name? It would fit in with Vedhika and Vedant as well as keep the Scindhiya Samaj members happy.
Just then Palak, Payal and Ansh walked into the room and announced Mumma and Papa are going to name our baby brother Ayush and for now they will call him Aayu.😃
