Part 14.

The dinner table that day was unusually quiet! As the chatterbox ..as in khushi was too..busy concentrating on her food.

Arnav hadn't come down for dinner as he had an important video conference ..well, that was an excuse! He was feeling embaressed ..yeah!! Arnav Singh Raizada was embaressed!!!

He tried indulging himself in some work..soo..that he would get back to normal.

Everyone retired for the day ..!!!

- The Sangeet -

The Raizada house was bustling with joy as it was the most happening part of the wedding the sangeet !

Arghgh!!! I cannot handle the pallu !! Khushi yelled in irritation!!

Khushi Kumari Gupta was wearing a saree for the first time! She knew how to wear it as she had seen payal practicing it ..and she had learnt too!! But Khushi dint like sarees soo..much! On her buaji and amma's insistence today she had worn! .. she tried protesting but it all went in vein!! There was no way her buaji would listen..as payal would get married now..it was khushi's turn.. soo..they wanted her to wear a saree ..soo..that any family would consider her as their bahu!

Khushi just rolled her eyes ..at their reason she wanted to study still..and marriage she hadn't even thought about it.

A wine red saree ..with silver work on it..and matching silver jewellery .. her silky long tresses flowing on her back.. Khushi looked any guy's fantasy!

All the guests had arrived had started to arrive .. everyone was busy meeting and greeting!

Arnav's eyes stopped on red!

He completely froze as he saw the red beauty was none other than Khushi ..she looked delectable ..Woah!! stop dude.! ..what the hell are you thinking? Its Khushi ..he shook those thoughts out of his head!!

Khushi..was busy receiving all the guests ..

The function was about to start!

Everyone took their seats ..all the family members were seated in the front ..

Anjali and Shyam took over the stage .. they said a few words about how lucky Akash was to have Payal.!

And then came the first performance..which was Khushi's and Lavanya's ..they performed on Salaam-E-Ishq .! both had worn lehenga-cholis with a combination of pink and white to match each other..throughout the performance Khushi had avoided looking at Arnav cause she knew she would either forget the step or make some or the other mistake..if she looked at him!

On the other hand Arnav couldn't take his eyes off Khushi ..he was disappointed that she hadn't looked at him even once!

The next performance was of the trio NK-Lavanya and Khushi ..they danced on radha ..NK was flirting and dancing with both the girls!!

Arnav ..dint like Nk dancing with Khushi ..and catching her and stuff! Cool ..Raizada she isn't your property!! ..

The performance ended and everyone cheered and clapped for them.

All the guests were praising Khushi ..!! her dancing , her beauty ..many guyzz were eying her! and the mother's of those guyzz were keen on making Khushi their bahu!

There's a really sweet surprise coming ..but after a little while..Anjali announced.

Surprise ..now what? Akash questioned Arnav. I have no idea! Arnav said ..

Di..what surprise? Payal asked curious. Payal it's a special surprise for you ..just be patient anjali replied excited!

The surprise was the one which Khushi and Lavanya were planning for a long time now!!

Khushi ..went back to change to her saree so did NK and Lavanya.

Arnav got up from his seat to make an important call ..he went upstairs!

NK and Lavanya had already changed and gone down..lavanya had to go and get the surprise ready she hurried! Khushi this side was struggling with the dori of her blouse ..it had two doris ..she managed to tie the top one but couldn't do the second one ..hoping to ask lavanya for help she realized she was already down! She searched for her phone and realized it was with her amma!! Dammitt!! I never have the phone when I need it..she said worried ..now what? Jiji's surprise ..i have to be there ~~ goshh!! 10 mins. More C'mon think Khushi think.!

She decided to go out of the room hoping to find someone for help..or atleast call out to her family! She covered her back with the pallu ..and went out.

Arnav had just finished his call and was going down ..he noticed Khushi standing in the corridor worried and muttering something..

Khushi ..he went to her ..

Khushi jumped listening to his voice ..aap?

You look worried! He said concerned..and why have you draped the pallu that way he asked confused!

Ermm..actually!! she looked at her watch ..and gasped damn!! 5 more mins. I need to go fast!!

She saw her amma n buaji busy with the relatives..even di was busy with jiju's guests ..

Khushi ..he said agn!! Anything wrong? You need something! I can help.

Khushi looked up at him ..nervously ..should I tell him? He is the only option now!

Uhmm..actually she hesitated ..

Khushi tell me.. he was really worried now.

Wo-wohh ..

Khushi speak up ..he said a little loudly!

She took a deep breath ,shut her eyes ..can you please help me tie the dori of my blouse ..she said it fast all in one breath!

He looked at her pallu covering her back ..and then realized! Her eyes were still closed .. he was surprised ..OH! he said not knowing what to say.

She quickly opened her eyes..and pulled him to the side .. Arnavji ..i have to go for jiji's surprise ..please can you help me fast.!

She turned behind ..her back facing him..removed the pallu and brought her hair in front..

Arnav was left speechless .. it wasn't entirely backless ..but a fair share of her creamy white skin was exposed much to his delightment ..

Arnavji ..jaldi !! she said turning at him..

He came out of his trance ..yeahh!!

He brought his hand close to the dori .. he started sweating! For the first time Arnav Singh Raizada was nervous ..Hell nervous to be precise! He held the dori ..his fingers touched her skin ..she shivered under his touch..she closed her eyes tight ..as she felt a rush of emotions inside her.!

Its done!

How he wished his hands could linger for some more time on her skin!!!

She opened her eyes ..said a quick thank you and ran down.!

Arnav smirked looking at her running down ..he too..went down then..wondering what was the surprise?

All the lights went off! And the spotlight came on Khushi who was standing on the stage holding a mike. Hey , everyone I hope you all are having a good time .. well, there's a little surprise for my dearest jiji she smiled brightly! .. saying that she turned a little held her hand out pointing to a screen ..and images started flashing all over while a soft tune played in the background going in sync with the pictures .. they were pictures of their life at different stages right from their childhood till now! Beautifully done with different kinds of animations and transitions and effects.!

Payal was stunned ! she couldn't believe Khushi had done all this ..she stood up with tears in her eyes ..and moved slowly towards the stage.. Khushi too..went down the stage next to payal .. with a lump in her throat ..Jiji ..even though im not your real sister ..you ..she was cut off ..payal stopped Khushi from saying further .. Don't you ever say that again ..Khushi ..you know our bond is a lot higher than that .. both the sisters hugged each other ..crying in each other's arms.

The entire environment had turned emotional ..everyone was touched by the lovely bond of the sisters.!

Arnav too..was left stunned .. he was deeply moved his respect for Khushi grew, he knew about Khushi's past ,she was an orphan just like him .. yet she managed to live soo..happily!

Achchaa..enough of rona dhona everyone ..Anjali announced .. its time to party!! She squealed in excitement! Yess.. dance party ! NK said joining her..

Now this came as a shock to Arnav ..dance party when did this happen?

The atmosphere was filled with excitement again!

Soo..whose gonna start ? shyam questioned Anjali ..to which she replied with a mischeivious glint in her eyes .. Chote and Khushi ..she said loudly ..and Arnav choked on his drink !! Akash quickly patted his back!! Bhai ..your okay? I don't think so! He glared at Anjali ..

Khushi eyes grew wide as saucers and her jaw dropped the minute di ..announced that she and Arnav were to start the dance.

C'mon chote just one dance with Khushi Anjali urged him ' Yeahh guyzz c'mon everyone cheered for them. The spotlights fell on them both.. looked at the red beauty ahead of him ..and forgot everything completely! ..he was drawn to her as if she were a magnet He started walking towards her ..he held his hand out for her .. she looked at him .. lost in his eyes she slid her hand into his ..they came to centre ..his hands automatically went to her waist while her hands moved to his shoulder ..he pulled her closer .. the music started and they moved along with it.!

Dil kho gaya ho gaya kisi ka..

Ab raasta mil gaya khushi ka..

Aankhon mein khwab sa kisika..

Ab raasta mil gaya khushi ka ..

it was like they were the only ones present there!! Both had shifted to a different world ..of their own '

he pulled her apart ..their gazes still locked , hands entwined..

Kheenche mujhe koi dor ..

She rolled back into his arms..and crashed into his chest!

it was like they were the only ones present there!! Both had shifted to a different world ..of their own '

they dint realize the song stopped playing! All the clapping and cheering brought them back to reality.!

Khushi quickly got out of his arms .. and stood a liitle away ..

Arnav was shocked ..by the fact that he had danced .. and that too with khushi .. he looked at the crowd clapping and cheering for them ..and smiled..

Everyone was talking about how perfect Arnav and Khushi looked with each other .. !

Khushi immediately ran to the washroom to calm herself and her heart down which was now beating as fast as the rajdhani express.!

Precap : Khushi looked at the haldi in his hand , no Arnavji ..she said moving away as he stepped forward .. Kyon? Ab hansi band ho gayi? He said and moved closer.. nai ..you cant do that ..and she ran ..while he followed her ..with a smirk playing on his lips.
