I loved the way you have described the symbolism, missed it on the show. Like you, feel that any rational end to all this nonsense would be such a relief.

Yes, Janhvi, I too told her (see my post above. please) how beautiful it was. But more of wishful thinking than a correct, fact-based analysis, unfortunately. But who shall blame her for constantly looking for signs in the tea leaves that her heart's desire might still be fulfilled? Not I.

Dear Gina,

An intriguing and beautiful post. Let me share with you how I see it all.

For me, Arjun-Purvi, for whom I had cared a very great deal, died on that hilltop. When you do not value your love, you do not deserve it any more.

Next, as I watched that Holi scene quite carefully, I shall make bold to seriously question your interpretation of it. Firstly, Onir and Purvi do not ever make any attempt to look lovey dovey in public. They are comfortable with each other, and Onir is always watchful to spot when she is tensed up, but that is all.So there is no question of their putting up a show for anyone at the Holi event.

Next, Purvi has no idea that Arjun is near her at all, nor that he is seeking her out. She never spots him. She is so delighted with her interaction with Soham that she immediately wants to share it with the one person she is sure will understand her, Onir. So she stands on tiptoe to locate him in the crowd. Once she spots him talking with some people, she runs to him and hugs him tight, to his considerable surprise, and then, pleasure.

That Arjun is disturbed by this scene is evident. But Purvi does not know he is there, nor that he is leaving. She pulls back only because this sort of PDA is hardly expected from an Indian woman in public, even with her husband, and she does not want people to comment on it.

She does not, as one might have expected, look the least bit awkward, but smiles sweetly up at him, and he responds. This is all that can be deduced from the facts of that scene, though you are of course free to see whatever you want to see there!

Purvi is not in love with Onir, but she is very comfortable with him, she trusts him unconditionally, she thinks of the two of them as a unit, and she has more to be grateful to him for than she can possibly repay. That is it as of now.

If she wanted to go back to Arjun, Onir would release her at once. But it is my considered assessment - not my wishful thinking - that she will not do so. It would not be in accordance with her self-image to abandon the kind of husband Onir has been for her.

Thankyou so much for sharing your veiws, and thinking my post was beautiful.😊

See, to me something just struck a chord with the way the colors becoming faded and Arjun seeing Purvi and Onir at just that moment. What I meant is that a hug can be translated to a feeling of togetherness and closeness in a relationship, but we all know the so called 'closeness' that Purvi and Onir share in reality.I'm sure you can agree that it is nothing like the 'closeness' they shared in that scene. Well at least until now their relationship isn't that along the lines of a quintessential couple.

I guess we all interpret things differently, This was just my interpretation, not my wishful thinking really. 😃

Yes, of course, Gina, but the thought I would like to leave with you is that you should write more. Your eye is the eye of an artist, and that is rare anywhere, and not just in this forum. Which is why I enjoyed your post so much, for the sheer appeal of the vision, though, as I tried to explain in my response, I came to an entirely different conclusion from what one could call the facts of the case.
