Chapter 15
Rey walks near Kiya, Kiya was sitting on the dance floor and fidgeting with her shoelace.
Rey: (thinking) God.. waha Taani ko itna sad chode ana pada, ab isse manana padega. But Yuvi k dad ne Taani se baat kyu ki? M sure Taani ne presentation k bich mein call kiya hoga. Ye Taani bhi na? ab kya karu Taani ka mood thik karne k liye!
Kiya was waiting for Rey to say sorry or something.From the corner of her eyes she keeps looking at him lost in some thoughts. She takes a deep breathe angrily and again starts tieing her lace.
Rey gets a brilliant idea: (thinking)Mela!! Aaj toh Amritsar mein mela lagne wala hai na? oh yeah! Taani toh pagal ho jati iss mele mein jane k liye! Aur last year maine promise kiya tha ki Taani ko iss saal mein use mele mein use jo chaiye wo kharid k dunga. Ab Taani ko kuch promise kiya hai, nibhana toh padega. (he was smiling in between, Kiya was seeing all this, she didn't know whats going on.
Rey(thinking) Aur kiya ne kabhi mela toh dekha bhi nai hoga! Isko mela dikhane le jaunga toh mann jayegi aur Taani k samne lagega ki sab kuch thik hai.
Rey: Kiya! I know tum upset ho! shayad meri galti hai, so to compensate, mein tumhe aaj shyam Amritsar k sabse bade mele me leke jaunga! Trust me! Ul love it!
Kiya's anger fades away, Rey was trying to pacify her, it made her feel special, she smiles.
Kiya: you know mein kabhi bhi kisi mele mein nahi gayi! M so excited, (she hugs Rey, Rey didn't knw what to do, he doesn't hug her back, she breaks the hug,)
Kiya: ok. Ab main ghar jati hu, pehle research karna padega ki mele mein kis type k outfits pehente hai! Ok.. bye!
As soon as Kiya leaves, Rey calls Yuvi and reminds him about the mela.

Evening at 7 outside Taani's house. Yuvi and Rey in Yuvis jeep honking.
Panchi: Taani di? Bahar jao na… shayad kuch important baat karni hai unko apse! Kabse horn baja rahe hai.
Taani: aur main kabse tuje bol rahi hu ki jake unko bol ki main so gayi.
Rey: juthi!!!!
Taani and Panchi turns and see Rey standing near the door.
Taani: (pissed off mood) Rey tu kyu aya yaha pe? Agar Kiya ne dekh liya na toh phir se upset h jayegi.
Panchi: Taani di? Kiya apne ghhar mein hai, aur Rey yaha humare ghar pe!! Ab humara ghar Big Boss ka ghar toh hai nahi ki har kisi ko pata chalega ki koun kab humare ghar pe aya hai!!
Yuvi walks in : waah waah moti!! Kya baat kahi hai!! Jabse teri dieting start hui tu bohot smart baatein karne lagi hai ha!!
Panchi: really? Toh tub hi dieting start kar shayad tu bhi thoda smart ho jaye!!
Panchi and Yuvi continue arguing when Rey goes and sits next to Taani on her bed.
Rey: Taani, Kiya aur mere bich kuch nahi hai,(sudeenly realizes what he said, Taani looks at him with her confused looks, rey changes his words) I mean… kiya aur mere bich kuch gadbad nahi hai, matlab sab kuch thik hai, maine use mana liya! Wo ab gussa nahi hai. Toh tum kyu aise muh latka ke baithi ho?
Taani: (irritated) rey tum yaha kya kar rahe ho!! muje manane k liye aye ho? ye jab kiya ko pata chalega toh phir se…muje manane ki koi zarurat nai hai tume! Main thik hu( frowns and looks other side)
Rey: really?? Pakka?? Pakka tum thik ho? fine!! (gets up, holds her hand and pulls her) toh phir chalo humare saaath!
Taani: (in a crying tone) kaha Rey!! Muje nai ana hai.. please!!
Rey: surprise hai tere liye!! Agar tu sachme thik hai toh chal.
Suddenly panchi yells" kya!!! Amritsar ke mele mein jaa rahe ho!! muje bhi leke chal na Yuvi please please!!
Taani's eyes pop out, she looks at Rey and suddenly a huge smile lits up on her face.
Rey and Yuvi(disappointed): Panchi!!! Surprise tha!!! (panchi gives"galti ho gayi" smile , they both get ready and walk out with Yuvi and Rey, outside they see Kiya getting off her car, wearing full desi Punjabi salwar! All were shocked seeing her like that.
Kiya: hey guys!! I know m little late! M sorry, par outfit deciede karne mein itna time lag gaya! Google pe jake search karna pada ki mele mein kaise kapde pehente hai, tab jake koi idea mila!
Yuvi starts laughing, : humare pind k mele mein jane k liye tune google kiya! (again laughs, taani joins him, Rey was controlling his laughter)
Kiya feels a little embarrassed, she starts giving her sad smiles and fidgeting with her dupatta, smiling at them and looking around. Panchi looks at her and feels bad. She hits Yuvi and signals him to stop. After some time Rey too notices that Kiya is embarrassed.
Rey: anyways! Ab itna hardwork kar liya toh credit dena toh banta hai, Indian outfits mein bhi tum kafi cute lagti ho, so now please,Itna sad mat ho!!
That was enough for her, she smiles at Rey,
They all sit in Yuvis jeep and reach At the mela!! Taani gets super excited and runs to different shops and Rey feels very happy seeing Taani back to normal.
Yuvi to Panchi: Main janta tha, Rey ka ye plan hit hi hoga!
Panchi: plan?? Kaise plan??
Yuvi: Taani sad thi, Toh Rey ne ye plan banaya, taki wo wapus se pehle jaise ho jaye!!!! Rey exactly janta hai Taani ko kaise normal lana hai, pata nahi wo nai hota toh kya hota humara!!
Taani listens to all this. She smiles thinking how easily Rey brought her happiness back. Without any efforts, without her telling him anything he realized that she needed to be with them, he knew how she loved spending time with them, and this mela, she was crazy for such fair's! Rey didn't forget that. He could make her smile, he always understands her, he never misunderstood her, she could always count on him, with a huge smile She turns around looking for Rey, she felt different about him now, she wanted to see him, not hug or talk, just look at him, just keep staring at him. She moves fast pushing people, she could nt see him anywhere, she turns and finaaly see's him,

Rey and Yuvi be's walking infront, Panchi Tani and kiya behind them, Panchi and Kiya busy talking, showing each other different stalls, but Taani standing in between them was just staring at Rey as she was walking,
Gush khaake galiyaan Udney lagi hai..udney lagi hai (coz of the wind, dust blows up and goes in taani's eyes
Raahon se teri Judney lagi hai..judney lagi hai (Rey notices it and quickly come near her

Pooche hai tera pataa (Taani closes her eyes, she was strugllin to open it)
Zara zara chale se Thakne laga dil mera (Rey opens her eyes with his fingers)
Zara zara udhne ko Karne laga dil mera (he blows air in her eyes)
Main pareshaan pareshaan Pareshaan pareshaan (taani feels frozen for the 1st time, she stands expressionless, with her eyes closed she recognized him)
Dil kashi ka samaah
Main pareshaan pareshaan Pareshaan pareshaan (he asks her whether she's feeling better)
Khawaaishon ka samaah (opens her eyes and she just smiles)

He looks at her, hits her head and keeps his hands on her shoulder and drags her with him. He was saying something to her pointing out to some stalls but she couldn't hear a word, she just stares at him.
Be baat khudpe Marne lagi hoon..marne lagi hoon (He removes his hands from her shoulders and walks with Yuvi)
Bebaaq aahein Bharne agi hoon..bharne lagi hoon (she feels bad coz he left her,she makes a sad face)
Chahat ke cheetey hai Khaare bhi meethe hai (see's Rey laughing at Yuvi who was wearing a funny hat)
Main kya se kya ho gayi
Zara zara fitrat Badal ne laga dil mera (she slowly starts laughing seeing Rey laugh)
Zara zara kismat se Ladhne laga dil mera (realizes she was laughing alone, looks around if someone saw her)
(Music) again looks at Rey (Kaisi madhoshiyaan..)
(Music) coz of the wind some clothes were flying and she couldn't see Rey properly(Mastiyaan mastiyaan..)
Main pareshaan pareshaan Pareshaan pareshaan (she irritated starts moving those clothes to see Rey)
Aatishein woh kahan
Main pareshaan pareshaan Pareshaan pareshaan (now he wasn't there, she moves from where she was standing)
Raanjishein hai dhuaan
Ho..
( Music) she keeps looking for him, she see's Panchi, Kiya but she tensed searches for Rey!

Rey laughs and comes near her, as he was coming towards her, Taani's heart beat was increasing, it was as if the whole world was moving in slow motion, he holds her hand and pulls her in the dance, and Taani couldn't help but just smile and follow him, as if she was hypnotized.
