Part 49

Arjun was trying to talk to her but she was just nt letting him finish. She didnt know wat he wanted to say but just didnt want that to happen today. On the other hand, Arjun just wanted to have a casual talk but wasnt getting the point to trigger that off. He also didnt want to go that fast with everything but wen Roshni abruptly started the FM he thought its better to b quite for that moment.

Roshni just wanted to reach her place soon. And as they reached there and Arjun stopped the car, she immediately jumped from the SUV before getting any reaction from his side.

Roshni : "Ok. Thank u Sir."
Arjun (quickly came out frm his side) : "Roshni!"

He shouted at such a loud voice that her feets sticked right there to the grnd. Roshni turned to face him. She can see some tension and confusion on his face for the first tym, that too, for no particular reason.

Arjun : "Wo..."
Roshni : "Haan.."
Arjun : "Tum..."
Roshni : "Main..."

RINGGG!!!! RINGGG!!!!

And then Arjun's phone started ringing. Arjun closed his eyes as if trying to control himself from bursting out. He didnt even take a look at whos call it was. He kept that device shouting and tried to continue the talk with her...in between that continuous ringing.

Arjun : "Actually main keh raha tha ki..."
Roshni : "Sir...aapka...phone baj raha hai..."

As Arjun was goin to pick that up reluctantly...the phone goes silent.

Arjun (pissed out) : "Wat the hell.."
Roshni : "Sir main... jau?"
Arjun (sadly) : "Haan...Ok..."

Roshni was like as if God has blessed her life. As she turns to leave, he called her from behind.

Arjun : "Roshni"

Roshni was lyk "kyu roka" and she turned to face him, "Yes sir!". Arjun was looking in her innocent eyes and Roshni in his intense eyes...Both looked at each other and then there was a moment of silence...trying to figure out wat actually was in their hearts...the time stopped ryt there...they just let their eyes do the talking...

Tu hi ye mujhko bata de
Chahun main ya naa
Apne tu dil ka pata de
Chahun main ya naa (x2)

Itna bata doon tujhko
Chaahat pe apni mujhko
Yun to nahi ikhtiyaar
Phir bhi yeh socha dil ne
Ab jo laga hoon milne
Poochhu tujhe ek baar

Roshni : "Aap...kuch keh rahe the..."
Arjun (smiles) : "Kuch nhi...Gud Nyt!"

Roshni gestures him with a big smile and goes inside the building. But then she came backward and looked from behind the wall and finds Arjun kicking the grnd disappointingly. She guessed that he was cursing the caller too. That made Roshni smile and blush. She then goes inside. Arjun then take a look at his mobile to see whos call it was. It was Rathor...

Arjun (muttered) : "Kya tyming hai! Aur ab jab karna chahiye to ek call nhi karega."

Roshni quickly enterd her flat. She closed the door and resting her back on it thinks abt Arjun. She was blushing and smiling. Was she dreaming or wat - that tough cop had actually started acting cute and all. Something struck her mind and she then rushed to the balcony just to take a look of him before he leaves. As she impatiently came to the balcony and looked down, Arjun was standing there, leaning on the car bonnet. He didnt use to do that earlier, but now things have changed big tym. He was looking at her window just to see that whether the lights has been switched on or nt nw - an indication that she has entered her flat safely. But somewhere he too wanted her to come to her balcony. Perhaps he too was waiting there for her only. He has now started to feel a strong pull towards her, an urge to meet her, see her.

Aisi kabhi pehle hui naa thi khwaahishein
O.. kisi se bhi milne ki
Naa ki thi koshishein
Uljhan meri suljha de
Chaahun main ya naa
Aankhon aankhon mein jataa de
Chaahun main ya naa

As he saw her, he corrected his posture and was just looking at her. Roshni cudnt help but smile. Arjun smiles too. She waved her hand saying bye and Arjun did the same. He was having a feeling of contentment nw...though she didnt let him talk but atleast said bye. His purpose for the day was solved. He opened the door, moving his right hand on his hair and sporting a smile in her direction drove off from there. Roshni kept looking at the vehicle till it was no longer visible.

Roshni (blushing) : "Bye Arjun sir!" *smiles*

Next Day - ETF Office

Rathor is sitting on the edge of table top and is reading a file holding a pencil in one hand. Arjun enters the rum but doesnt say anything to him. Rathor mischievously looked at him. He came near to him and kept his hand on his shoulder.

Rathor : "To?"
Arjun : "Kya hai? Haath hata!"
Rathor : "Are hua kya?... Accha wo chodh! Kya maine tujhe bataya ki main tere liye kitna khush hu..."
Arjun : "Really!"
Rathor : "Are aur nhi to kya! Accha kal tu Roshni ko ghar drop karne gaya tha. Kuch baat hui teri usse?"
Arjun : "Kya tu sach me janna chahta hai ki kal kya hua?"
Rathor (chuckles) : "Kyu aisa b kya hua!"
Arjun (politely) : "Kal main usse poore raaste baat karne ki koshish karta raha bt wo shayad kisi aur hi mood me thi aur hamari baat hi nhi ho payi..."
Rathor : "Are to tu Arjun Rawte hai. Tune kuch kiya nhi?"
Arjun (very politely) : "Ofcourse! Jaise hi hum uski bulding k bahar pahoche aur main usse baat karne hi wala tha ki kisi kamine ka phone aa gaya... " *gives him a look*
Rathor (getting his point) : "Oh!... Aur usk baad?" *saying this slowly moves backwards*
Arjun : "Usk baad! Uske baad ab wo kamina mere haatho pitne wala hai." *moves towards him*
Rathor : "Oye ek min! Baat sun meri pehle!"

Rathor stands behind a chair for the safe side. But Arjun wasnt going to leave him. Rathor was trying to make the chair act like a shield for him. Both were moving the chair left and right with Rathor holding it frm the back and Arjun from the front. The ACPs were fighting just like two boys do. Rathor quickly ran towards the other end of the table. Both were gasping for breath after that much running. Arjun seeing him getting out of his hand, looked for something on the table, and picked a file to throw it on him. But then the unxpected happened. The trio entered the cabin with their as usual chit chat. They didnt knew that their seniors wud b in the office that early. And they were in for a shock, ofcourse who wudnt be...Arjun was standing at one end of the table and Rathor on the other. Arjun was looking like he was just goin to throw that file and Rathor, well he was trying to protect him with his one hand held in air in front of his face.

The trio tried hard but cudnt control themselves without giggling. Well both ACPs were in for a shock too. Both Arjun and Rathor quickly came back to their ususal form and tried to cover up the whole situation.

Rathor : "Arjun wo file..."
Arjun : "Haan yahi file maang rahe the na tum. Ye lo!"

The trio were quick to understand wat actually was happening and both their seniors were quite embarrased too. All took their seat.

Rathor : "Shree! Tum yaha kaise? Tumhe to rest k liye bola gaya hai na!"
Shree : "Sir! Ghar par bore hi hota. Aur waise b field par nhi ja sakta lekin yaha se aap logo ki help to kar hi sakta hu.
Rathor : "Gud! Well team mujhe aap logo se kuch share karna tha. Kal jin baccho ko humne bachaya hai, jaldi hi unhe unke parents k paas pahochane ka intezaam kar diya jayega."
Chotu : "Ye to accha hai. Pata nhi bechare baccho ne kabse apne maa-baap ki shakal tak nhi dekhi hogi..."
Roshni : "Sir bt unme aise kai log honge jinka iss duniya me koi b nhi hai I mean..."
Rathor : "Dont wry Roshni! Jinke parents nhi hai unhe child welfare homes me bhejne k liye papers ready kiye ja rahe hai. Main aur Arjun abhi Abbas se milne jayenge. Ye racket shayad bahot badha ho sakta hai. Hume iski depth tak jaana hi hoga."

how much despo he was to get his words out and yeh ladki ek maukha nahi deh rahi...so sad!

then the balcony scene was cute!

Rathod's taunt then kamina was superb!
