Superb update! 👏👏 Hmm... Pity Yash! He was in the memories of Aarti! 😭😭

And somewhere I felt angry of SP and Dubey but I can understand why they had actually plan of getting Yash to marry again! It is to make Yash happy again! But I can detect something interesting will be up while the preparations for the marriage goes on! 😉 For Yash, I'm slightly happy for the boy to accept the remarriage because this proved that he loved Ansh a lot! 😊

Chapter 39

"How could Bauji do this to me Aartiji"Yash questioned the portrait in front of his eyes which he had hung on the wall of his bedroom.

"I just have two months now... two months to find you.

I know what I saw. My heart knows what I saw. It was you...yes...this time I cannot accept that it was someone else like everyone is trying to convince me...it was only and only you.

I don't know how you turned up here after so many months and why you are staying away from me?... So many unanswered questions so many gaps but the answers can wait. I just have to reach you first. I have to find you... and find you out I shall" Yash said to himself as he kept the eye contact with the smiling photo of his beloved wife.

Just than his cell phone rang.

"Yes Ramesh I am about to join you. Let us start with the next colony in the nearby vicinity of that bus stop. I am sure someone might have seen her. Or better still, we can find her there itself" Yash said over the phone.

"No Ramesh...I have no doubts about it. I am confident it was Aartiji. It does not matter if the ice cream vendor did not confirm her as Aartiji after seeing Aartiji photo. He hardly had a glimpse of her while she was standing there. And that is definitely not enough to say anything for sure.

Let us not slack in our efforts shall we. I have full faith in your capability Ramesh" Yash knew what his friend was trying to do but stopped him from speaking any dissuading negative talk.

When he ended the conversation and was on his way out he got another call this time from Dubey.

"Hello Bauji...is there any other conditions you have forgotten to add?" Yash asked sarcastically.

"Yash I am not your enemy here. I am doing this for the best. But you seem to take it otherwise. I have heard you have not given up your search for Aarti...is that true?" Satya asked.

"That does not concern you" Yash snapped back.

"Well it does. I want your attention and focus on the woman whom your parents choose for you. I want you to put an end to the farce right now. I am afraid you are doing this girl grave injustice if you keep pining for your dead wife" Satya argued.

Yash gripped the phone harder. He hated Satyendra Dubey for pressurizing him like this but at the same time he had to admire the concern for this unknown girl who would soon take the place of his daughter in the household. He already had a set of in-laws who were not on speaking terms with him he did not want to antagonize bauji as well. But what he did not like was the fact that his father in law was getting all updates about his day to day activities from someone in the family.

"I have to speak to my father. He seems to be the in-house spy who keeps you updated on all that I do" accused Yash.

"All that is immaterial, Yash. Your quest for Aarti has to end and that is final. Why are you not asking if Aarti is alive she will never keep herself away from you and her family? You obviously mistook someone else as Aarti. Had she been alive she would have moved heaven and earth to be with you, don't you think" Satya questioned.

There was a pause as Satya did not get any response from Yash.

"No answers for that now Yash, am I correct?"

"Maybe she has some...some reason behind her absence Bauji" Yash finally answered.

"Whom are you trying to convince Yash...me or yourself? For once think rationally. You have committed in front of all to get married. This is not wrong on your part to make the girl suffer if you keep behaving irrationally"

"We have not yet married bauji. I do not owe her anything" Yash shot back.

"That is not like you to say that Yash. I want you to promise me that you stop your search right this instant else I will not be responsible for the action I take if I am not taken seriously" again Satya said taking the route he did not like to take.

"Bauji, how much are you going to punish me? Why can't you allow me sometime to just try and find out about Aartiji? She is your daughter... if she is alive how can I then go and marry someone else?" Yash asked feeling very pained at being forced to give up his only hope.

"That is problem Yash, you are the only one who feels that she is alive and I cannot let you waste your time, emotions and energy on such futile pursuits"

"Please bauji do not ask this of me I will be broken" Yash pleaded.

"Only if the pus is removed can the wound heal Yash. This obsession has to end. And since you are incapable of doing so on your own I have to make you stop"

"No bauji...please don't..."

"I am afraid Yash, you will have to comply. Call off this search operation of yours immediately" Satya issues another ultimatum and cut the call.

Ramesh and his assistants were doing some asking around with Aarti's photo in hand. They had combed a lot of area since last few days but till now had not been successful in finding any clues about Yash's wife Aarti.

Ramesh again checked his watch. It was very strange on Yash part to not arrive for the search operations before time. He was always the first to arrive and was the one last to leave.

Ramesh approached a man and was about to show him the photo when he got a call from Yash.

"Are you alright Yash? Is there a reason for your delay?" Ramesh questioned.

"Ramesh...I want you to stop this search operation" Yash said without his voice giving away any hint of emotion that was suppressed within him.

A million questions raced though Ramesh's mind. But he did not voice them.

"Are you sure?" was all Ramesh asked.

"Positive" Yash replied from the other end.

"Alright if this is what what you want then so be it" with that he cut the call.

"Arre bhaiya you stopped me from having my tea. Can you just get on with showing me the photo already" the man asked getting irritated.

"It is not required...thanks anyway" Ramesh kept the photo back in his pocket.

"Wah! So you found the missing person. Too good. See I proved lucky for you haan" the man joked.

Ramesh just shook his head and headed back towards his car with is assistants. He had with him posters of Aarti that they were going to stick around. But it seemed that even that was not required any more.

"Aakaash bhaiya...your tea is getting cold. Why don't you hurry up come over" the tea stall vendor called Aakash loudly.

Aakash turned giving one final look to Ramesh's retreating form and started to go towards the tea stall.

"Aaisa hai...I am feeling very lucky these days. How about a round of tea for all my dost over here" Aakash said feeling very generous.

"Why Aakash did you hit a lottery or something?" one of his friends asked.

"Or something my friend...I got myself a JOB" Aakash smiled and replied.

"You a job" they are burst laughing.

"Better believe it and stop laughing else you would be paying for your own tea" Aakash said to shut everyone up and getting irritated at the same time.

"So much happened when we were away" Pratik said as the news of Yash's remarriage and the cause for it became known to him. The two couples sat in the living room sipping tea.

"Yes Pratik. Bauji and Dubeyji did what they had to. Yash may not like it right now...but in the long run I am sure he is going to thank them" Pankaj replied.

"I just can't believe Yash bhaiya is getting remarried again. It just feels like yesterday that Aarti bhabhi came into this house" it was Pari's turn to express her surprise.

"I know you both were very attached to her. Hell you even went away from the house on your anniversary for the fear of bringing Aarti's memories back to Yash" Pankaj said feeling sorry for his other brother again.

"How could we celebrate Pankaj bhaiya...when Yash bhaiya is in so much agony?" Pratik questioned.

"But his days of mourning are going to be over soon. Soon our house will be filled with joy and celebration Pratik bhaiya. I do not want there to be any shadows of sorrow atleast from our side. We are going to make sure that everything goes on smoothly. Agreed?" Vidhi asked but at heart she still could not picture anyone taking Aarti's place in the household.

"Agreed bhabhi...we will do whatever necessary to make this as smooth for Yash bhaiya as possible" said Pratik and Pari as spoke together.

"How is your cook book going?"Pankaj asked sometime later.

"My mind was not in the mood for writing for the longest time. But finally the editor accepted the 3^rd draft and we will be going for the publication part soon" Pratik answered remembering how much his Aarti bhabhi's loss had affected him too.

"So good to know that Pratik. And I am glad that you are still spending quality time with SEL(Scindia Events ltd). With Yash not fully there yet, what you did to fill the gaps was truly appreciated by one and all" Pankaj said trying to convey how proud he was of Pratik.

"Bhaiya I may not fulfil bauji's dreams for me. But I am glad I was given the chance to fulfill my own dreams. That I can still be a part of SEL in any way is what that is still precious to me.

And Yash bhaiya...he has always been there for me. How can I not reciprocate the same for him?"Pratik said trying to downplay his role.

"Ishita...but that girl is handicapped" Gayatri said shocked.

"Mere bhagwan ki kasam bhabhi...it is just a slight limp, hardly noticeable" Maya tried to brush the fact away.

"Yes Gayatri..let us not make an issue out of this shall we" Suraj Pratap told his wife.

"But how can we..."Gayatri started to object again.

"Our son is twice married and with three kids...where will you find a girl willing to take on such baggage. Be glad we found this one so soon" SP said getting impatient with his wife.

"Why do I get a feeling that there is more to this alliance than what meets the eye?" Gayatri questioned.

"Relax Gayatri...just think about Yash returning back to normal after this marriage. Think about your "raja beta" that's all. Rest all, need not concern you. Leave it entirely to me" SP said feeling pleased at how things were going on.

"Mere bhagwan ki kasam bhaiya...you are a master mind" Maya said later when they were alone.

"You want this alliance because she is a minister's daughter. The same minister who can help you out with getting contracts of national events" Maya continued amazed at how well her brother could use a situation to his advantage.

"Maya...why do you think this is only about business? Yash will get a wife who will take care of his needs and that of his children too you know" SP said feeling just a bit uneasy at what Maya said.

"Come now bhaiya...don't I know what a clever manipulator you are? Nothing you do is as plain as it seems" said Maya knowing her brother full well from past experience.

"I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself and bless Yash and wish him all the best. Gayatri is already suspicious of this alliance I do not want any interruptions to happen midway. I hope I made myself clear" said SP giving his sister a hard look and then leaving the room.

Maya started to spin the beads of the mala in her hand and contemplate her next move. It was such a relief to have Aarti out of the way without getting her hands dirty. It was such a pleasure to see the whole household trudge along in misery these past few months.

This marriage though was fixed using her connection with the bride's father was not too much to her liking. She would again have a new woman to deal with she thought.

"Oh well...new day...new plan to hatch" Maya said out loud.
