***part 17-i***
Note: This update is not done. I had it half written and couldn't stop myself from posting. Will complete it in a day or two. Virat will tell Manvi everything he knows in the next half, so please don't freak out on me for further delaying.
"Ria, come back here right now." I heard Virat in the living room.
"I am not talking to you!!!!" Ria walked inside stomping her foot.
I looked at her curiously and then at Virat who was walking behind her with a frustrated expression.
"Mommy!!!!" she cried running towards me in tears.
"Oh baby, what's wrong?" I stooped down and collected her in my arms. She clasped her hands and legs around me and started sobbing.
"Heeey, why are you crying sweetheart? I thought you are a big girl now." I looked at Virat questioning him and he rolled his eyes.
Nikki ran inside jumping with excitement- clapping and shouting "Momma, look at my new puppy." And behind him ran a german shepherd- a long muzzle, brown snout, brown medium-sized intelligent eyes and long brown ears. It is probably a few weeks old.
"It's cute. It's a he?" I asked Virat. He nodded. "He is cute Nikki, but why is your sister crying?" Nikki couldn't see or hear anything other than the pup.
Hearing Nikki, Ria started to sob louder. "Sweetheart, stop crying." Virat pleaded.
"Take him out into the garden." Virat told Nikki. Nikki was more than glad to have him to himself, so he hopped out and with him followed our newest family member.
"She doesn't like him?" I asked Virat.
"Oh she likes him, and all the thirteen puppies and their mother. She wanted all of them." Virat was shaking his head.
"WHAT??" I screamed.
"The big doggy was crying. I saw small tears momma and it was barking sooo loudly'." Ria explained. Her sniffs lacing her words.
I started smiling.
"It was not crying sweetheart, she was just telling goodbye." Virat reasoned in vain, his hands on his hips.
"I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU'." Ria shouted at Virat and hugged me back tightly. Virat dropped his head back and raised his hands up in exasperation.
Ria's face was red and tiny little pearls were dropping down continuously from her innocent wide sparkly eyes.
"Oh honey..." I took her to the window where we could see Nikki playing with our new puppy. He was going round and round and the puppy was following him as fast as he could. Nikki was shrieking with excitement.
"See how happy the puppy is." I showed her. She turned and looked out of the window slowly, her face giving nothing away. She was carefully examining the authenticity of my words. "He won't miss his mommy?" She asked as I wiped her tears off.
"No Sweety. Dogs stay with their mom only for a few days and then they are on their own. And if you take good care of him, he will not even think about his mom again."
"Really?" she asked widening her eyes some more.
"Really bunny." I assure her.
"But why didn't daddy bring his mom home too and his brothers and sisters?"
"Because, we only decided on having one puppy Ria."
"But whyyy?"
"Because other cute little girls need puppies too. How can we take all of them?" I asked her.
She thought about it for a minute and then seemed to agree "Ohh.." she said in deep thought.
"Do you want to play with him now?" I asked.
She looked down at her hands and then nodded up and down slowly.
"Say sorry daddy. It was wrong to behave like that. You made daddy so sad." I told her.
She looked at Virat guility "Sorry papa." She said.
It was cute to observe that whenever she felt excessively emotional, she switches to mama and papa. Or otherwise it is mommy and daddy-same with Nikki- It sometimes is mind-boggling when I notice such minute differences in their behavior.
"That's okay my princess, I just can't see you cry." He kissed her and took her from me into the garden. I followed them.
I looked at her petting the puppy lovingly and kiss his ears. "Don't lick me." she warned him. Nikki made a face, he wasn't happy to share him.
"What are you going to call him?" I asked Nikki.
"Spiderman." He replied readily.
"Spiderman?" Virat laughed.
The puppy barked. "Spiderman" Nikki called again excitedly. He barked yet again.
Ria sulked "No!" "How about rainbow?" Puppy yawned. "rabbit?" "bumbkin?" Puppy lied on the ground with one of his front leg on his nose. All of us started laughing.
"Spiderman?" she tested. He barked at Ria. Nikki was clapping his hands.
"Spiderman it is I guess." Virat said.
They started chanting his name and he kept barking at them.
"You are so good with the kids. Don't ever leave me with them even for a day. I wouldn't know what to do." Virat said looking at the kids.
"You are brand new to them. You will figure out slowly." I replied holding his hand. How was your day?" I asked looking at him. He seemed really tired.
"Could have been better if I stayed home." He said smiling to me.
"Buddy, come, let's get some fuel in that engine." I call for Nikki.
"Ria, you too."
"But, we just started taaalking." She whined.
"Spiderman is hungry too. Aren't you going to feed him dinner?" I ask.
They immediately run inside into the kitchen.
"Did you consider getting all those puppies for her?" I asked Virat while walking back into the house.
"Ohh yes." He said shocked at himself. "But, I didn't want you to split your coronary." He laughed.
I giggled. "And weren't you guys going get another breed?" I ask.
"Spiderman is bad-ass. He will be a hard-core guard dog one day." Virat said proudly.
I shake my head.
Virat got a dog for security!!

It was bedtime and I walked into my room. The only thing in my head was how to convince Virat to let me go to work tomorrow. It is a very big task. I have been thinking about how to broach the topic all day and figured the best way is to be straight.
He was working on his laptop and talking to someone on the phone. God! His work is never-ending!!
I enter and stand near the bed-post across, looking at him. He hangs up his phone on seeing me. He raises his eye-brows and puts his laptop away. "I need to talk to you about something important." I tell him.
He doesn't take his eyes of me. It's like I am in an examination room. "If it is about your job from StarCom, the answer is - over my dead body." he says each word crystal clear.
What the f**k!!
"How do know..." I ask, shocked out of my wits.
"Because all phone calls to the house and your cell are monitored. I get a transcript and the location of all the calls and callers."
He is walking towards me. He removed his cuff-links and threw them on the dressing table enroute and he is opened his first few shirt buttons loosening his collar. He is walking towards me without turning his blazing hot eyes away from me!!!
Wait, I am talking.
"That is my personal cell-phone Virat." I move back digesting this new piece of information. "Stalk much??" I asked him crossly.
"Personal?" Virat stops and stares at me.
"Yes personal. Damm, don't you get any privacy around here?"
"I didn't think you needed privacy from me Manvi. And that is not what you wanted to talk about. You were going to talk about your job and I don't really understand the hurry. You didn't want kids to miss out on anything with school. I kind of get that. But baby, you were attacked in our old house and someone tried to break into this house. I need to keep you safe more than anything." He explains me sincerely.
"Isn't outside safer than inside then, considering both points of attack?" I asked immediately.
His face twisted in anger, for about a few seconds. "Firstly, we didn't anticipate any kind of attack when I told you to go our old house and in here, the security is so tight that we came to know of the perpetration within seconds and they couldn't even enter the house. And that was with minimum security personnel, so, no, this house is as safe as it can get for you."
Security is like a religion to him, he gets all zealous when he talks about it. I was trying to grasp what he told me.
"Are you done?" he asks me.
"No." I retort.
"Well, there is nothing to talk as far as I am concerned. Come here baby, I missed you all day." He voice goes all mellow and he clasps his arms around me and is caressing my face and kissing my neck tenderly. He smells so good and I am losing myself in his arms. Is he doing this on purpose? Trying to romance off the whole topic??
NO!! We are not done talking! Stop seducing me!
I walk back. He reaches for my lips and I close them tightly in a straight line. "Hmphh'" he comments. "Let's see how long you can keep that up." He challenges.
"This is not a wrestling match. I need to talk to you." I reason.
"About what baby?" he closes the gap between us. I take two steps back and he takes three steps towards me. He is smiling. A few more steps and I hit the wall. And he is there, an inch away from me. He holds me in place and closes the door with one of his hands.
He locks it. I gulp, my voice betrays me. "Virat can we use words? You cannot do this when I am talking to you on a serious matter." I rationalize.
"I cannot?" he smirks into his kiss. He is kissing my jaw-line, as tenderly as he can, while his hands are moving down my waist, feeling every curve of it, softly, leisurely.
Holy Shit, I am going to give in!! No!!
No!!! Virat Vadhera, not today.
He is kissing my chin, oh so close to my lips, he is kissing around my lips but is very careful not to touch them. This is a f**king challenge to him. He cannot take a no!! He knows I am going to melt, bloody I know I am going to melt. His hands move further down, feeling my behind continuing the same leisurely stroll in the park, and suddenly he grabs it. I open my mouth and he taken my lips in. I feel him smiling into the kiss. I hate you Virat!
He is sucking my lower lip. He has never kissed me like it, so sensuously. He is using his best moves. His tongue is rudely trying to enter my mouth. I refuse. He urges. I send him back. How can I feel him pouting when he is kissing and devouring my lips. I must be out of my mind. His hands are moving up towards my chest and grazing my breasts, feeling them softly, teasing me. My heart drops to my feet.
This is so not fair!
His mouth is now on mine and his tongue is now intertwined with mine, engaged in a grueling battle. He is not going to let me go. I feel so aroused by all this and I am not in my f**king senses.
And he releases me. No, don't go!!
"You wanted to talk about?" he asks with the most disgusting smirk ever.
You manipulative, egoistic prick!! I can play you too and you know what I am going to!!!
"Ohh don't pout baby!" he smiles playfully. I glare at him.
"I know what you are trying to do. I can do this too you know."
"Maybe you should." He says, his lips barely concealing his amusement.
"You know you have such a big ego. Everyone around you needs to listen to you. You cannot take a NO. You want me to sit at home staring at the ceiling while you are off being the master of the universe. Is it that?" I snap at him, rudely.
"Yes, I would like you to stay at home, safe."
"Until when? I thought you put Karan inside bars because you think he is involved with all the attacks. Doesn't that mean I am safe now?"
"No, that doesn't mean you are safe now."
"Well, I don't need constant baby-sitting. Countries get attacked every day. There are so many bomb-blasts and terrorist attacks everywhere. Do we sit at home and lock ourselves in or do we continue with our lives hoping for the best?"
"You are not a f**king country Manvi, you are my wife. I promised to protect you and cherish you when I married you."
"And who is going to protect you?"
"I am old and ugly enough to take care of myself." He snaps.
"I am older too Virat. I am not 20 years old anymore. I have been working for more than three years and I enjoy my work. Why should I give up my work because some fictitious person will attack me someday?"
"I agree Manvi and I will never stop you when things are good. You know that. It's just in this situation, I don't want you wandering out in harm's way. Why can't you wait for a few months?"
"Because I will lose the position of creative head, I will have to start over."
He looks at me like I am an idiot. "Is that what you are worried about? Ohh baby, I will buy the company, you can be the owner of StarCom. I will buy five other firms like that for you. It's nothing I cannot afford."
"WHAT??? I can't even talk to you!!! You won't let me buy myself a candy but you will buy me a candystore? Do I ever interfere in your work?"
He lets out a deep sigh!!! "Enough of this shit Manvi, I am going to take a shower now. You are not realizing what kind of danger you are in. I asked for patience and trust, where are those Manvi? When I come back, I want you to snap out of all this."
"The women in this house!!!!!" He mutters and slams the bathroom door.
"Well, I am angry too and I can slam the door too." I yell and I go slam the closet door. He doesn't say anything. I throw myself flat on the bed and do the only thing I can do effectively in these kinds of situations. I sulk!
