Now lets come to need you now, man you write in such a wide space that you make me feel them. Love your presentation, love your choice of words. Yaar what a great conversation between the doctor and Asad i felt as if its happen in front of me This Asad for sure is in ishq wala love hehe. I know im being very greedy but can you plej update pretty soon like pretty soon

You are one of my favourite writer :D👏

Thank you jane! That is really sweet of you to give such a lovely comment that made my morning.
I have no idea how close my OS was to so many people. Everyone was really jumping up my throat to continue it like it was something that their life depended on. 😆 I didn't mind the least, but really? Comments that literally shouted out to me to continue was so overwhelming. I cannot find another word to describe how I felt. So am going with overwhelming for now.

Thank you for your thoughts on my work. And coming to Asad, he hasn't yet fallen in love. Yes an attachment is still there, since the Mangalpur incident, but you cannot rule out the Humanity in him, which would've made him do the same thing had it been someone else in place of Zoya. Digging her out of the grave, didn't really strike to me as something that has made him desperate to fall in love with Zoya. I see it as his repentance for saying all those hurtful words to Zoya. I see it as an awakening of his Conscience, which no doubt is still there. For him to develop feelings for Zoya is a step that'll come later. I don't know for exact how people start liking each other or feel a deeper connection, that is Love for each other. But I know that something in between them clicks, be it common, or opposite. If what you choose to say and do gets a reaction from the other person, it might be for the best or for the worst. It is up to you and the person you have by your side, for now, to choose and decide on what Life provides you with as options. Your actions are responsible for what will happen in the future. The power lies in our hands, since we are the ones who make our own Destiny.

Alright this was all philosophical, but that is exactly what I think. Or at least a part of it. It really hard to put such thoughts in words. It takes a lot of twists and turns and playing with words to find the right sentences to make your thoughts sound more sensible.

Anyways, thank you so much for your comment.
Stay tuned for the next part.

I have written half or more than half of it, but I won't be posting it since I have got to put in what I had set out to write.
I don't know when I'll be updating, but I won't be promising when.
Just pray that I finish what I have been trying to get out of my mind!

#3

Maryam's legs wobbled as she made her way out of the restroom of the hospital. She had stayed there from the time they had all entered the hospital with Phupi and Zoya Baaji, all bloodied with their own blood.

Her breathing was heavy, as she walked in the corridor, trying to find the familiar faces of Asad Bhaijaan and Najma Baaji. A few tears escaped her eyes, as she relived the moments of Phupi being shot and Zoya's body lying limp on the stretcher. Sobbing, she wiped her cheeks with the heel of her hand.

She just didn't know how long she had stayed there. Two hours? Three? Maybe four? No matter how long she stayed there, she just couldn't bring herself to face Asad Bhaijaan and Najma Baaji. She was the reason why it all happened. She was the reason for this shootout, and two innocent people were now in here fighting for their lives.

She had tried to muffle her wails, by biting herself on her forearm. Her tears wouldn't stop, and neither did her wails. She had not cried so much even when her dear mother had died when she was only 6. She knew she wasn't the reason for her mother's death, but she loved her very much. But here.. Her Phupi and Baaji were shot, only because they had cared to help her out of this mess that her father had created.

Father.

A growl erupted from her throat, but it only came out as a whimper. She loved her father too, but after what he did to her, she just couldn't get herself to forgive the man, who was incidentally her father. Why does Fate play such games with me?, she thought as she sat herself on a cold steel chair that was attached to one of the many walls lining the white corridors.

Her clothes were smeared with blood. But she didn't care. She remembered how Zoya had tried to help her out of her own wedding by acting as the bride. She had went down for the Nikaah, while she had fled from the place, unseen.

Oh how she wished she didn't do that! She buried her face in her hands, as she rested her back on the backrest of the steel chair. How she wished to turn back time, and just run away from this place, straight to... Nowhere. Yes. Nowhere. So nobody could find her. Not even her Wretched Father.

He does this, and calls himself a Human! He does this and calls himself a Respectable man! How despicable!, she thought, as she huffed in disgust at the mental image of her father, and shook her head once in disappointment.

Both Ayaan and Najma stared at Asad as his words sunk in their heads. After he was finished, both of them exchanged looks, before breaking into sad smiles of their own, and engulfing their elder brother in their arms.

"Bhaijaan, Badi Ammi has been taken to a private room, where she will stay for the week," Ayaan said, as he pulled away from Asad.

"Yes, Bhaijaan. I wanted to wait for you before going to meet Ammi. She won't take much time to gain consciousness, one of the nurses said. So we might as well be ready to meet her when she opens her eyes," Najma smiled softly, before squeezing Asad's hand that lay on her shoulder.

Asad breathed a sigh of relief, and nodded in acknowledgement at Najma and Ayaan for giving him this information. He was itching to go meet Ammi, but he held himself back.

"Where is Maryam?," Asad cleared his throat, as he realised that he had just croaked out his question. Of course he had seen her. As they had all made their way to the hospital his eyes hadn't mistaken in recognizing her.

Najma shook her head in negative, and said, "I haven't seen her since we came here. I am worried. If Mamujaan finds her then... I just don't know what to do, Bhaijaan.."

Asad's brows furrowed, as he assessed what Najma had just said. "You know?"

Najma nodded in affirmative, before saying "Maryam told us everything. She also told us how bravely Zoya helped her out of this mess. I didn't know so much had happened back there in Mangalpur. Even Ammi was shocked."

"Why didn't you tell us Bhaijaan?," Najma jut out her chin in askance.

Asad closed his eyes briefly.

"Is it because you don't trust her?," Najma softly asked.

Asad's eyes flew open and peered into his sister's in confusion. "What?"

Sighing, Najma said, "Zoya told us that you wouldn't believe what she was saying, and she knew that you would do just that. That is why she didn't tell you about Maryam's presence in our house."

Asad's eyes widened as he remembered Zoya acting very weird for the past few days. Her frequent visits to the store room, and her sudden presence in front of his room, and her creeping into the living room at odd hours, like she were some burglar or something. He also remembered how rudely he had told her to shut her mouth and stop talking nonsense about his relatives. He groaned, as his hands covered his face, before he dragged them down, to meet Najma's eyes in guilt. And regret?

Oh Khuda! Why didn't I just believe her then?, he silently cursed himself, kicking himself mentally numerous times for his jackass attitude.

"I just didn't know how to say it. I didn't want to risk yours and Ammi's lives. Already, Mamu had threatened Zoya.. He is true to his words. And we got to see that too, when he made his goons bury Zoya--"

He stopped as soon as he had said it, and pressed his brows hard to make the image of Zoya lying lifeless in front of him to go away. "Shit!," he softly cursed.

"He did what?," Najma gasped, reeling in shock. "He buried her?! Alive?! Is he ins--," she stopped herself before she could say anything about her Uncle, to avoid making the matters worse.

Asad laughed bitterly, as his hands rested on his hips, and he nodded in affirmative. "He is definitely what you wanted to say, Najma. He is definitely a Wretched Bas****!," ending with a venomous whisper for the man whom he had respected from the time he had opened his eyes to this world. He didn't deserve it. Any of it!

Ayaan who had been a silent spectator here, could only hang onto whatever these two were saying. He knew who Maryam was. She was Bhaijaan and Najma's cousin, from Mangalpur. But that was just that. And Zoya was just as unknown to him as any stranger.

But he had a conscience too, and right now, he just despised the man and those who had helped commit a heinous crime such this. Burying someone Alive? Are you ******* kidding me?, he thought, as his nostrils flared in anger. Douches! All of 'em! He grunted as he jerked his arm downward, as if to punch them mentally.

"Can I sit here, by Phupi?," Mariyam asked as she looked at the nurse who was in charge. Seeing her hesitance, she said, "Please?," in a soft voice, that failed to cover her whimper.

The nurse's face broke into a soft smile, before she blinked in consent and went back to work.

Thankful for the nurse, her heart skipped a beat as she made her way to her Phupi's right, and sat on a stool beside the bed.

Dilshad lay there on the bed breathing peacefully with the oxygen mask on. Her tired lines were more prominent now.

Maryam dared to raise her hand, and brush away a few strands of hair that suddenly found a way to rest on her chin. Her fingers skimmed through her Phupi's silky hair, from her scalp, to the shoulder where she was shot. Her hand stopped right above her shoulder and as slowly as she could, she brought her hand up, to avoid the bandaged wound, and rest it back on her elbow.

She could see a few pipes attached to her, the needles dug into her skin, and the rest hanging in mid air and then joining the saline and blood packets hung by the bed side.

Teardrops made their way on her cheeks, as once again she couldn't stop blaming herself for this. She didn't want any of this to happen. She just wanted to to get out of her house, back there in Mangalpur and go to her brother, Huzefa who was waiting for her. But she had landed somehow at Asad Bhaijaan's house. Only because her brother wasn't in town. She had no other means to reach her brother and she knew that her life was already in danger, and she couldn't risk taking any more chances by living out on the roads. Her only option was Asad Bhaijaan's house, and there she met Zoya.. again. She felt horrible for dragging her into this. She felt horrible for dragging Phupi in to this.

Her hand found Phupi's hand and she slowly raised it and held it in her hand, clasping her fingers tightly around the back of her palm.

"I am sorr-.. I am so sorry, Phup-pi. So s-sorry..Please forgive your Maryam.. I d-did not mean to drag you and Baaji into this mess. Allah Miyah! Please bless the family for caring for me. I never wanted this to happen. And you know it too. Please make Zoya better. I cannot help but feel restless on the prospect of not being able to find Zoya here. Please Allah, please. I beg of you..," Maryam softly sobbed into her Phupi's fingers that held her hand.

A hand on her shoulder made her jump out of her skin in fear. Her blurry vision was obstructing her view. Frantically wiping her eyes, she saw the nurse smiling down at her with a kind expression.

"She will be alright," the nurse gestured towards Dilshad.

"What about my Baaji?," Maryam could hear herself sounding very odd, as she could feel her nose blocked, making her breathe through her mouth.

Picking a tissue box and offering it to the girl in front, the nurse said, "She is still in surgery. She will need all your prayers, dear," before nodding once in acknowledgement and making her way out of the private room with a steel tray that rattled with its contents.

The tissue box lay deserted at the foot of the bed, as Maryam turned to gaze at her aunt with longing.

But the sound of the door opening, made her snap her head to the direction of the door.

Three figures stood at the entrance of the double door-ed room. She instantly recognised two of them.

Asad Bhaijaan and Najma Baaji.

Her reaction to Asad Bhaijaan's steely gaze was instantly standing up from the stool, and lowering her head. But she didn't let go of Phupi's hand. It was as if she was drawing strength from her to withstand his fury.

Oh, she very well knew how Asad Bhaijaan was when he was boiling with anger. She had witnessed it many times. But not experienced it. Maybe because she never gave him a chance to be like that. Or maybe he was lenient towards her, since she was his relative.

But now.. She knew she had no escape.

She felt him near her, as he walked with slow steps to the foot of the bed.
Her body trembled in fear. She locked her free hand on her other elbow, tightly in front of her, to prevent herself from shaking in front of him visibly.

"Maryam? Where were you?"

*sigh* Now I would like to know what you think of this part, because yeah, I loved writing this.😆
Apologies if I have missed out on facts, but I decided to add some of my own, and play with the ideas I had in my head.
Pray that I can update the rest sooner!
