Chapter 12
Taani wakes up and as she opens her eys she see's Panchi sitting with her broken guitar. Taani abruptly sits,
Panchi: (angry)Taani di, kya aap muje bata sakti hai ki kal raat ko yaha kya hua tha?
Taani: wo Panchi, actually, (taani was about to say something when Kiya walks in their room)
Kiya: Good morning Barbie dolls…!! (she was happy, fresh and excited, she had a different glow on her face, something was different about her today)
Panchi: Kiya? Sab kuch thik hai na? I mean tum itni subah subah yaha?
Taani was not even interested in asking her, She keeps staring at her, She remembers how Kiya didn't allow her to enter the sets, Taani gets up from her bed and was about to go out,
kiya: (smiling)Nahi, kuch thik nahi hai, (Taani stops,she keeps looking at Kiya, she could sense something grand coming next)
Panchi: (curious) What happened?
Kiya: (smiling) Kuch thik kaise ho sakta hai Panchi! Sab kuch badal gaya ab, I couldn't sleep the whole night, main sirf aur sirf smile kar rahi hu, aaj mera outfit bhi deciede nahi kar paa rahi thi, itna confusion muje aaj tak nahi hua. Har time sochti , kya yeh Rey ko pasand ayega, kya ye colour usko pasand hoga? (starts giggling, Taani keeps staring at her, she was feeling like dragging her out from her house, Panchi was looking at Kiya, thn at Taani, She didn't know what to do)
Taani: (sarcastic) aur itna deicide karne k bad bhi tumhe ye yellow dress hi mila. Rey ko yellow bilkul pasand nahi.
Panchi: Taani di!!!!! (she gives her "why so rude"look) No kiya, aisa kuch nahi hai. Your looking very pretty.
KIya: Taani…tum bhi na..for a moment I thought ki muje jake change karna padega! (looks at Panchi) but then, kya farak padta hai, According to Yuvi, Rey ko koi farak nahi padta ki main kounsa colour pehnu…
Panchi and Taani: According to Yuvi???
Kiya looks at both of them
Kiya: now please..ab tum dono ye mat kehna ki Yuvi ne tumhe kuch nahi bataya! And Taani you? M sure tumhe toh sab pata tha, tumne bhi muje nahi bataya? Jab maine tumhe bataya that I like Rey, atleast tab muje bol deti tum!
Taani: tum aakhir kehna kya chahti ho? Maine tumhe kya nahi bataya?
Kiya: yahi that Rey likes me too!!!
Taani and Panchi: (shocked) What!!!
Kiya gets surprised looking at this reaction. Panchi was confused, and Taani, she couldn't believe what she just heard. She couldn't say a word.
Taani: (thinking) How could he do this? Wo kiya ko kaise like kar sakta hai? Mujse ek baar pucha bhi nhai, Yuvi ko bhi bataya, par muje nahi, but wo aise kaise? Main uski best friend hu, (she was feeling bad, shocked, her best friend dint tell her such a big thing, she was upset now, upset for two reasons, 1. Rey liked someone and 2. That someone was no other that Kiya, Kiya-the girl Taani hated the most !
Kiya : Taani!! I know maine tumse help mangi thi and all.i still need it. Jaise ki aaj u told me that Rey doesn't like yellow.Thanks, aise hi muje guide karti rehna. (looks at Panchi) ok girls, I need to go now, Shoot ka time hone wala hai. Bye(she gives them flying kisses and leaves)
Taani: Guide? My foot!! (looks at Panchi) Rey kiya ko like karta hai, I mean, wo kaise like kar sakta hai isse? (she storms out of the room)
Panchi : Yuvi Taani ko like karta hai, par Taani Rey ko like karti hai, Kiya bhi Rey ko like karti hai. Aur kahani mein twist, Rey bhi kiya ko like karta hai?par muje toh laga tha ki Rey taani ko like karta hai, God… ye ho kya raha hai yaha? This is so complicated. Ab main kaise Rey aur Taani ko ek karungi! Pehle toh sirf yuvi ka tension tha, ab toh Kiya bhi hai! Hey rabji, ap aakhir kar kya rahe ho! Sidhi sadhi love stories mein itne saare twists?

Yuvi with kiya was waiting outside the sets for Rey. Kiya was blushing, Rey see's both of them.
Rey: (thinking) damn. Yuvi Kiya k saath kya kar raha hai? Kahi isne Kiya ko kuch bataya toh nhai? Oh god, Yuvi ne raita pehlane se pehle I need to tell Kiya ki maine Yuvi se juth kyu bola, warna bohot gadbad ho jayegi.
Yuvi: dekh Rey, main tuje janta hu, tu apne muh se toh Kiya se kuch nahi kehne wala, isliye maine tera kaam asan kar liya, tune muje Taani ko propose karne k liye help kiya tha na? now its ma turn to pay back! Isliye, maine bhi teri full on help ki hai, Kiya ko sab kuch bataya!
Rey closes his eyes,(in his mind) damn, ye tune kya kiya Yuvi!! (looks at Kiya who was smiling at him)
Kiya: Rey, I know its very difficult to confess your love to some1, Yuvi ne muje bataya ki u like me, aur I like you too. Hum dono ek dusre ko like kar rahe the and ek dusre ko bol hi nahi paa rahe the! But now everythin is clear, (she smiles at him) m so happy Rey, m really very happy. (she hugs Rey, Rey didn't know what to do, he knew he was too late, how is he suppose to tell her that he lied to Yuvi about it, She will definitely be heartbroken, and then Yuvi would come to know about it, and it would create a huge mess.
Yuvi on the other end was happy for Rey, he was smiling. His best friend got his love, atleast he thought he did. Just then taani comes with her scooty, she had come to speak to Rey about all this, but the site was even more heartbreaking, Kiya was hugging rey infront of her, Taani was terribly annoyed now, She felt like weeping now, Rey used to hug just one girl and it was always Taani. Bt now he was hugging kiya.
Kiya breaks the hug.
Kiya: I love you too rey!!
Taani felt terrible after hearing those words, Rey was shocked too. He didn't know what to say, He looked at Yuvi, Yuvi was smiling at him,
Taani: (thinking) I love you too?? Matlab Rey ne Kiya ko pehle I love you kaha? Matlab Rey ne Kiya ko propose kar diya? (looks at Rey) how could he do this?
Rey turns left and notices Taani,
Rey: (thinking) taani?? Oh god, ab isse main kaise samjau, Yuvi aur kiya ko toh main sach bata nahin sakta, par Taani, use to main sab kuch bata dunga! Main Taanni se juth nahi bol sakta, use dhoka?? No ways!! But agar maine Taani ko sab sach bata diya then wo muje avoid nahi karegi, phir se yuvi insecure feel karne lagega.. M sorry Taani, main tumhe chahte huye bhi sach nahi bol sakta.
Yuvi: Taani!! Sahi time pe ayi hai tu, humare best friend ko ab girl friend mil gayi, (keeps his hands on her shoulder) ab hum jabi kahi jayenge tab Rey ko akele nahi ana padega! Aur ab tu officialy Rey ki tension lena chodd sakti hai, uske liye ab Kiya hai na?
Taani was justing hearing what Yuvi what saying, she was not listening to him! Several thoughts were goin through her mind, how could Rey fall in love with kiya all of a sudden, why didn't she realize that, She knew Rey in and out, still she never thought in her wildest dream that this would happen.
Rey on the other hand was feeling guilty, he didn't know what exactly was happening, He lied to his best friends. He was in a difficult complicated confused situation. He didn't know whom to tell the truth now. Taani seemed upset, shocked, surprised. He knew she wanted many answers from him, he could read her eyes. Those puzzled, confused eyes.

Today was the last day of the shoot. Rey some how managed to perform well. After the shoot, the choreographer called all the dancers and selected a few amongst them who got an opportunity to study dance from his institute. Rey and Kiya were selected too. Kiya was excited, Rey was happy, but still feeling miserable

Late evening Rey goes to the place where he always goes when he's upset. And to his surprise, he finds Taani there too. He keeps staring at her, She looked sad, she was staring at the flowing water, he knows she was upset with him, he couldn't see her like this. But he was doing this for her sake. He smiles and walks to her.

Kiya: Rey!! Have you seen this place? Its amazing!! Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki, muje yaha dance sikhne ka mauka milega! I mean,Royal dance academy mein dance sikhna!! Its like a dream come true isn't it?
Rey: (smiles) your right Taani, ye ek dance academy nahi, Punjab k har ek dancer ka dream hai.
KIya just looks at Rey, he didn't even realized that he called her Taani, She ignores him once.
