Part 11:

He placed the revolver back on the table…."tum kahi yeh toh nahi soch rahi ke main tumhe goli maarne waala hoom…[when she didn't reply, he continued]daro matth…tumhe maarke mera kya fayda??……aaj kuch aur hi karne ka iraadha hai!"

Riya instantly thought the other possibility…..and shrieked out "nahi….." and instantly sprinted to the door……

He was quicker…as if anticipating her move, he grabbed her back and pinned her to the wall right near the door……"kahaan bhaag rahi ho Riya…agar maine kuch socha hai phir woh karke hi rehunga….."

Riya: [shivering a bit within his hold and in broken sentences] aapne aisa kya socha hai?sir, main maanthi hoom, maine aap ke saat thoda sa badmaashi…..

Arjun snapped her short "thoda sa huh?"

Riya: [gives up] ok….kuch zyaadha hi badmaashi kiya tha...par mujhe kuch patha nahi tha….jo bhi kiya anjaane mein ho gaya….par uss keliye main aap se sorry maang bhi chukhi hoom aur dil se feel bhi karthi hoom…..

Arjun: tum ladkiyon ke yahi problem hai….dhoosron ko maximum pareshan karthe ho aur phir sochthi ho ke ek sorry bolne se sab teek ho jaayega…

Riya: [mutters to herself in a low voice] maine ek sorry kya bol dhi, yeh toh ladkiyon pe research karne lag gaya….kya museebat mein phas gayi ho Riya?

Arjun heard it in bits and pieces and understood what she said "What??"

Riya: kuch nahi…..woh aapse nahi tha….

Arjun looks around to see if there was anyone else in the room as if mocking her while Riya ignores it and adds

"ab galthi kisse nahi hoti…..aur uss keliye sorry hi keh sakthi hoom na?"

Arjun: [raising his eyebrows] oh so Miss statistics ko lagtha hai ke main tumhe maaf kardunga, huh?

Riya: [gulping] aur kya karenge?

Before Arjun could reply, a song starts indicating an incoming call on Riya's mobile….

"I know you want it but you never gonna get it

Arjun raises his eyebrows hearing a crazy song as her ring tone and looks at her head to toe meaning "kaisi specimen hai"

Riya pleads with her eyes to allow her to pick the call and Arjun responds "call le lo.." and he steps back allowing her to speak….

Riya quickly picks the phone….her eyes light up seeing that it was a call from Shree….

"Hello Shree….haan main Arjun Sir ke cabin mein hoom…..unne kuch kaam tha….hmmm abhi thodi dher mein nikhlungi…ok….bye.."

She keeps glancing at Arjun in an attempt to read what was going on in his mind from his face but he stood sporting a blank face, just a bit of sarcasm and arrogance spilling here and there…..

Once she cuts the call and places back the mobile in her pocket, he steps closer and Riya blurts out

"dekhiye sir….ab Shree ko patha hai ke main iss waqt aapke saat hoom….agar mujhe kuch hogaya toh aap zaroor phasenge…."

Arjun couldn't control his laugh now…..Her expressions and warning to him were appearing really funny to him…..He laughs out and then enquires "tumhe aisa kyun lagtha hai ke main tumaare saath kuch bhura karne waala hoom….ek ETF officer hokhe itna darr aur Shree?? woh tumaara bodyguard, huh??"

She gets irritated by his taunts "aapke iraadhe aapke aankhon mein saaf jhalaktha hai Sir…isiliye aakhri baar keh rahi hoom dhoor rahiye mujhse….mujhse batthameezi karne ki sochiyega bhi matth"

Arjun looked at her again amused…wasn't this his dialog that she had copied and the last bit cracked him up again "looks like you are putting your own wild ideas into my head Miss Mukherji….but you are wrong!….mera aisa koyi iraadha nahi hai…and the reason is plain simple….I am not interested in you…..samjhi ya samjhaavum?"

[He didn't know why he told that for a reason….was he telling her that or reassuring to himself?]

Riya: [she was fuming at such an insulting snide remark…she couldn't leave it as such…she shot back without thinking twice about the consequences which could follow] par aapke harkathon se aisa nahi lagtha Sir….Why the hell did you make me sit right in front of you when I said that I will wait at my desk? Aur phir aise kareeb aana, dhamkiyaan dena….kyun??kya team ke harr member se aise hi baat karthe hai aap??nahi na??? then why me??

Arjun was furious hearing her speak out like that….she had dared to speak things which were obviously true but he couldn't take it when it came so directly hurling at him……

He pinned her back to the wall angrily and came so close to her with his eyes fuming at her….He was silent but his eyes spoke volumes and all were angry fumes perhaps burning her and the only reason being that she did have a stirring effect inside him…she did seem to break that ice barrier and peep inside which he hated to the core….He couldn't accept that, even to himself!! He couldn't stand her presence now….not even for a second more….if she stood there, he will definitely lose the battle against himself!

"GET LOST!"

He spat out angrily stepping away from her after that long moment of closing in on her…..

She, on the other hand, was left baffled and remained still against the wall for another long minute before walking out of the room….
