Raja Chaudhary was discharged from hospital two days ago, but few of his Nach Baliye 2 co-contestants have bothered to call on him and ask about his current state of health.

Still unable to get past the quirk of fate that threw his wife Shweta Tiwari and him out from Nach Baliye 2 last Wednesday (the episode aired last night), Chaudhary was surprised that only Tanaaz Lal, Bakhtyaar Iraani and Manav Gohil tried to establish contact with him after learning that he had developed a liver abscess.

A few good friends

While Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar spoke to him over phone, Manav visited Chaudhary in the hospital after the Wednesday shoot got over. "I was expecting that all of them would come to see me," he says candidly.

Manav got a huge watermelon with a 'Get well soon' message written on it. "That was a very sweet gesture. Plus, Manav's visit wasn't just for the heck of it. He stayed with me for over an hour. After that gruelling shoot, he could have paid a fleeting visit and left if he wanted," says a visibly grateful Raja.

It seems, Raja was expecting some particular Nach Baliye 2 co-contestants to show up. Had he developed a close friendship with any
contestant? "No. I was just anticipating that they would turn up. If I had been in their position, I would have definitely been there," he says.

Diet constraints

We shift tracks to cheer the man who has fought hard not to let his terrific dancer wife down. Are there any diet restrictions?

"No alcohol and cigarettes. I have been told that I cannot be subjected to passive smoking either. And I have to avoid non-vegetarian and spicy food. Most importantly, I have to stop consuming any outside food," he replies.
Raja, who has taken leave from his two serials Apne Mere Apne and Gam Hai Na (on Doordarshan), is still not sure if Shweta and he will be able to perform in the grand finale slated for December 18.

He says, "I have to take the full course of medicines till December 3. Then, I will have to undergo a complete check-up once again. Only after that, will we be able to take a call on the finale performance," he concludes

Thanks for sharing.

Well, I'm a fan of Shweta Tiwari but I do think they don't have a very good relationship with other contestants. The way Raja always passed remarks on HG wasn't all right. But still, the other could've called at least to ask him. Pretty heartless they are.

I like Manav even better now! 😊 😊 😊

Its not like raja is very friendly wid the other contestants... they hardly mingle so he really cant expect others to be dere for him.. And aft the comments he has passed on Hiten-Gauri, even if dey r true to sum extent, he cudnt expect dem to cum n meet him.

Dunt get me wrong, i feel really sorry for him buh....

😉 That sux. It is sad that many of the couples could not visit him in the hospital but u have 2 understand that most of these people r really busy (they work about 14-16 hours in the dailies) so they may not have had the time & energy 2 go 2 visit him in the hospital. Also it is not necessary that everyone must be sharing the same friendly rapport with him on the show. It is nice though that some of them who must have relatively free time like Tanaaz,Bakthyaar,Maanav visited him. 😊

ok so what if the other couples aren't buddy buddy with Raja? They have interacted with him haven't they? If they're busy they should atleast make an effort to call. He was in the hospital. Common sense and humanity would tell you to atleast call.

I thought Huti would call, just because I thought shweta and tina have such a good relationship with each other. Shweta wants Huti to win Nach Baliye, tina told shwetha that she had voted for shweta to stay in before shweta got eliminated and she wanted shweta after wild-card round. But anyways this is a small thing! They're pretty busy, they could've forgotten it, so lets not judge! 😛

Well they all used to act like buddy buddy in Nach Baliye reality episodes. Cant blive that only TB and Manaaz only tlked or visited him, thats just sad. Knowing Raja from NB he looks like a very down to earth guy, very caring and loving and for sure he wouldve been there for any contestant if they were in his position. For Christ sakes they had to quit NB cuz of the poor guy, doesnt any of the contestants feel sorry for them? How insane and talking about busy schedules, ok fine i understand but cant u even call or send ur regards through some one.

Lets not grudge the jodi's anything.. I mean, the other jodi's may have decided to visit Raja at home rather than go to the hospital.. and I'm sure they will once they have more free time in hand.. None of the jodi's are 'heartless' people..

All said, but i think when some is ill,you should put aside all these hassels and go meet them. That's the hospitality spirit. I agree with raja's comments mentioned in the article. If HG did not go what about the others, are they also the same?
I think if one person falls in the river the others follow them.
