'Stop being so childish Arnav' Khushi retorted before she angrily snatched the new born baby from Arnav's arms

'Hey! She's my niece not yours!' Arnav argued, Khushi gave him a deadly stare instantly making him go quiet, he was definitely playing with the border line this time.

'We'll talk about this later' Khushi mumbled towards Arnav who groaned silently, why was he being so stupid?

'So I think we should go ahead with Sarah, but I'd want to discuss it with your Jiju first' Anjali said calmly, she liked that name and hoped Shyam would as well. Arnav and Khushi pulled out of their banter and nodded in agreement, Sarah was a great name.

Soon after, the Doctor that was handling Anjali's delivery walked in smiling sweetly towards the new mother and daughter

'How you getting along?' She asked kindly as she stood beside the bed

'Im fine Doc, just feeling a little weak but I'll be okay' Anjali answered softly

'That's good, but due to your weakness during the delivery we'd like you to stay the night at the hospital. Its nothing major, its just so you undergo regulations of our hospital and are safe when leaving' The doctor explained

'That's fine, the more I delay this the more chance I'd have of my husband taking me home' Anjali said shyly, she really wanted her husband to be the one to bring his family home, he owed her that much. Khushi, however, stood up concerned.

'Doc, will she be okay alone? Shall we spend the night at the hospital with her?' Khushi wondered hopelessly

'No don't worry, she's completely fine and visting hours are very short so you wont be able to get in. She's not facing any major problems so she'd be fine with us, you guys should go and rest and come back tomorrow afternoon' The doctor advised looking at the bags under the two youngsters eyes

'Okay…' Khushi said unwillingly as she glanced over to Di, 'We'll see you tomorrow Di okay, if you need anything at all just give me a call and I'll be right over' Khushi explained as she pecked both mother and daughter on the cheek. Arnav and Nani followed to do the same before they left the hospital for the Raizada mansion.

As soon as the three were in the car, Khushi fell asleep straight away due to how tired she was through waiting for the delivery. Arnav glanced over at her sheepishly and moved a strand of hair off her face. Nani watched him and smiled

'Chote, if you have feelings for Khushi why don't you just admit it!' Nani asked impatiently, Arnav sighed

'Nani, I don't have feelings for her, she's my one and only best friend and I love her. But I love her as my best friend and nothing more' Arnav stated hesitantly

'Arnav, you watch her dreamily all the time, you love being close to her, your life evolves around her. I'm pretty sure you can't call that just 'friendship' can you?' Nani mocked, Arnav gulped and slouched slightly, was what she was saying true? Was his life evolving around her very reason to breathe? Arnav pushed the thought away and carried on driving

'It's nothing' He mumbled slowly, and maybe even uncertainly. Nani smiled but dropped the topic, she was certain that Arnav would realize sooner or later and this was all the push he would needed to do so.

Anjali sighed peacefully as she rubbed the soft cheeks of her new born baby admiring its innocence and beauty.

'Hey beautiful' said a husky voice form the door, Anjali looked up startled until she saw the longing face of her husband standing before her with balloons, a baby basket and flowers. Anjali's face broke out into a huge grin before tears began to flow from her soft round orbs

'Hey what's wrong' Shyam said dropping the gifts and cupping Anjali's face, concern etched on his face

'You made me wait so long…'Anjali whispered painfully, Shyam frowned before he placed a soft kiss on her forehead

'Never again sweetie, you our child and me will start from the beginning again as a family. I swear I wont miss this for the world' Shyam said assuring hair before he picked up his daughter in his arms

'Khushi thought of the name Sarah, what do you think?' Anjali asked, in a much better mood now

'I think Khushi knows exactly what she's saying – and speaking of her, I owe her so much for this' Shyam said exasperated, he didn't know how any of this would have been possible without her

'That, you do. But Shyam, I seriously think some things may be cooking up between Arnav and her, they've been super close recently. Kaash, I just wish they'd admit it because I'd love to have her as my sister-in-law. Trust me when I say this, I have rightfully reserved that place only for her' Anjali explained

'Wow, looks like they've had a lot of advancements since my last visit. But Anjali, are you sure? What if they actually don't feel the way you think?' Shyam questioned distractedly as he played with his cute little daughter

'From Arnav's side, I have no doubts. I'm not sure about Khushi though' Anjali admitted thoughtfully

'Well, I guess I'll see for myself when we go home tomorrow' Shyam said smiling as he pecked Anjali's cheek.

'Khushi! Wake Up!' Arnav pestered as he stood by the open car door, Nani had gone inside.

'Khushi!' Arnav hissed walking closer to her seat, Khushi shook him off and moaned, clearly in deep sleep

'Khushi we have to go inside' Arnav said softly, Khushi stiffened and rubbed her eyes as she twisted in her sleep, clearly displeased. She opened her eyes very slightly as she stepped out of the car walking off the drive and onto the front garden before the mansion. Slowly, Khushi went down to the floor and fell asleep again.

'Khushi your laying on grass! Are you crazy!' Arnav scolded

'But its comfortable' Khushi mumbled in sleep, Arnav shook his head with a smirk on his face. Only Khushi could do something like this and make it look so adorable too. Arnav sighed and lifted her again taking her into the house like it was a part of their routine.

Arnav walked up to her room and laid her down before wrapping her up. As he turned to leave, Nani stood in the door watching him.

'What?' Arnav asked innocently, he totally looked interested in her at the very wrong times.

'Sorry, but I am totally judging you for this' Nani said smirking before she walked out. Arnav looked down at Khushi and took a minute to rush through his poor defense of not liking Khushi. Was it true? Was he interested in her now? Was she the one he wanted to be with now? Arnav shook his head and walked out of the room, he was questioning a totally different universe that would only form if he gave it too much time, so he had to stop now.

'JIJU!' Khushi screamed opening the front door the next morning, Shyam Anjali and Sarah were all home before afternoon had come.

'Khushi! Its great to see you!' Shyam answered hugging her like her mama does. Khushi greeted the baby and Anjali in the same manner as Arnav and Nani caught up with Shyam.

'Heard a lot about you Saleh saab' Shyam said winking, Arnav looked back puzzled

'Pardon?' Arnav questioned confused

'We'll have a man to man talk after dinner' Shyam ended before he proceeded to the breakfast table leaving Arnav in a totally confused state.

'Its so good to see you all home, as a family' Khushi said happily as they all sat down for breakfast

'So am I, I had been away for so long and it totally wasn't fair. But I owe it all to you Khushi, all the credit solemnly goes to you' Shyam said whole-heartedly

'It was nothing Jiju, Di is practically my everything, she's the sister I never had and she deserved the service. So you owe me nothing Jiju' Khushi said cheerily

'Don't worry, I'm here now and the hard work will totally pay off' Shyam said kindly

'Jiju its fine, and anyway I must leave by tomorrow' Khushi explained guiltily, Arnav looked at her angrily but only Shyam noticed his expressions

'Why tomorrow?' Shyam questioned cheekily, amused by Arnav's expressions

'Well erm, I told Mama Ji about Di's delivery and they were quite happy so they're coming tomorrow to see her and take me home too. They are really keen on finding a boy for me so they've already set a meet and great in two days with this guy…' Khushi trailed off, putting her head down shyly, she was excited about this. It was the time for her to get married and she felt this new vibe inside her like she was going to finally transform from a girl to a woman. Arnav's anger turned into rage as he got off the table sharply

'I'm done' Arnav stated crisply before he walked upstairs. Everyone but Khushi knew that he wasn't referring to his breakfast.

Guyyys; IM SO SORRYYY!

ive had so many exams and on top of that i've had such bad writers block that i just couldn't find it in me to write another chapter. Ive been amazingly busy and i apologise from the bottom of my heart

now im going Canada in three weeks and then more exams so im finding it really hard to keep up with everything at once

I HAVNT LOST INTEREST IN ARSHI OKAY.

the amount of people who have asked this- no thats not true

ilove arshi just as much if not more then before and i wouldnt just stop like that

im just very stressed out, i appreciate the space you guys have given me and hopefully whenever i get the chance i will try to update, despite writers block i cooked up this chapter -
