Well said!
I especially like how you said, viewing this incident in isolation is wrong.
What disturbs me the most is that people view Devi Sita as a delicate damsel in distress we all should feel sorry for.🤔 She was a form of Adi Shakti. She was not at all helpless and Shri Ram knew that. Sita was a strong, independent lady who was able to survive 10 months living in the enemy's kingdom. Why should we feel sorry for such a powerful lady? It is an insult to her character! Not many women back then could have survived alone without their husband and raised two children by herself.

Absolutely right. No matter which version of Ramayan one reads, Sitaji always comes across as THE IRON LADY. To think of her as a damsel in distress, is like, the height of insanity.😊

I agree . She is one of the strongest characters i know ...one who never compromised with her thoughts .

She told her husband her different thoughts when he asked her to stay back during his exile period .

She accepted a hard , dangerous life when she could have the luxuries of a palace .

She never lost confidence that her able husband would win the war .

She refused to go with Hanuman saying she now wanted her husband to fight for her as this was now a fight for principles .

She gave the agni pariksha not bcoz she was a weak woman but bcoz she knew the times and what her husband would have to face otherwise .

She refused to go back but gave up the twins as if she was waiting for that moment and told him to take care of them . Her duty over , she discarded her body ...mentally tired of proving herself to the world . Neither did she want their approval nor their acceptance ...she took this decision not just for herself but even for her boys as she was determined their life was not marred by the shadow of a controversial mother . I always felt her final decision was thought out from many angles .

Delicate as a flower but tough like iron is Sita for you . Absolutely no one could make her compromise on her decisions .

The greatness of Shri Ram lies in the fact that by exiling Sita he voluntarily chose to be called " a failed and a cruel husband" by coming future generations whereas Sitaji is never doubted and is worshipped as a perfect wife.Shri Ram and Sitaji reside in each other hearts. Ram, the husband, too lived like an ascetic once Sitaji was exiled. He gave up royal comforts and just fulfilled kingly duties.
Coming on to washerman, Shri Ram, the King could have ordered him to take back his wife with dignity but he could only order; he could not dispel the seeds of suspicion from the washerman's heart and this would no way give justice to washerman's wife.
The Lord always knew that Sitaji is a chaste woman otherwise why he would have taken pains to rescue her from Lanka, grieved for her like a lunatic and even accepted Luv Kush as his kids.
But the rest of the world were mere mortals and it was really a precarious situation. Even though the washerman accepted that Sitaji was chaste could the same be said about his wife? Was there any way for that washerwoman to prove her chastity like going for Agni pariksha?
It was destiny's cruel play against Ram and Sita. They would just be King and Queen rather than enjoy as ordinary husband and wife.

I feel If Sagar Pictures show Uttarkand that is Luv kush story then i wud say they shud show it in a simple way just like they showed in 1986 ramanand sagar's ramayan.

I feel they shud show luv kush story in such a way that will remove many audience's misconceptions or misunderstanding abt Lord Rama not being a great husband or sending sita to vanvas again in her pregnancy.

Many audiences who have many questions in their mind or conflict as whether Lord Rama was right or wrong to send sita in Vanvas again by listening to washerman's doubts? or whether Lord Rama was right to ask for sita's agnipariksha again before the praja inspite of Luv Kush revealing who they are n telling abt Sita's purity .

I hope they show Luv Kush story in such a way which will clear all doubts of audiences and answer all doubts and questions n clear their misunderstanding regarding Lord Rama as a husband.

If luvkush is shown I hope they show heart touching song of luv kush in Ram Darbar and heart touching reunion of Luv Kush and Lord Rama.

I like this zee tv ramayan very much. all the actors have done fantastic job. this ramayan is really simplest form of ramayan i have ever come across on television which is different from other 2 ramayans . i hope they bring the same actors again and make luv kush track separately. All the songs are very nice n soothing to hear including the title track. It really reminds me of old days ramanand sagars ramayan in 1986.

Yes, this show is going great. Best part is, both Neha & Gagan look perfect in their roles.
