It's a personal choice and bursting crackers and playing in colors is not only restricted for Hindus! Anyone who's interested can take a shot and religion no where comes into picture here. People are not fanatic enough to not have fun just because it's supposed to be meant for some religion!

Furthermore, Holi is not just a religious holiday, but a cultural one as well. It is quite normal for people of numerous religions to participate in the social aspect of it.
