Rainbow Of Colors: Epi mar 28
Happy Holi to everyone and sorry about the late review. Like most of you, I thoroughly enjoyed the colorful episode today. There were a myriad of colors painted by the writers and actors today.
RED: The most dominant one, the color of love was everywhere. Zoya has to be the most innocent but forthcoming heroine on Indian TV today. We all know how attracted she is to her Mr. Khan but the way her cute flirtatious statements come out, one can only laugh and admire her guts. From 'six packs' to 'aapke biceps' to 'aap par wet look suit karta hai' to today's 'aap dekhne ki cheez hain Mr. Khan...eye candy nahin hain...mera matlab eye candy hain...mera matlab wo nahin tha Mr. Khan!" Zoya was all flustered about her failed plan, but managed to amuse her Mr. Khan with her innocent flirting. Even though Zoya makes these inadvertent statements when she is a bit flustered, Asad has really started enjoying the attention from the woman he is also attracted to. The only difference is, he doesn't say it but for the first time, he had the courage to act on his attraction. The way he drenched her with the water and then Holi color in his bathroom is proof that he has mustered the courage to act on his impulses. His piercing look at a wet Zoya was enough to raise goosebumps today.
Asad has changed a lot since Tanveer's entry. It's almost like his heart has found a parking spot as soon as another car drove into the driveway. Not only does he smile more, has started playing pranks with Zoya but in my opinion, the biggest change is his sixth sense about Zoya. Yesterday, he knew when she had walked into the house. Today, he tossed on his pillow when Zoya tip toed into his room at night and then when Ayaan and he were chasing Zoya at the Holi party, he knew exactly how to get to his girl. The way he confidently paused and then ran in the other direction to catch her, just shows that he can sense where she is. What a contrast from the scene at the bus accident, where he ran past her to hug Tanveer! This is the new and improved Mr. Khan. This is the Asad that will always be there to protect Zoya, he will know where she is and how to reach her. So, Razia and Tanveer better watch out. Asad will shield his lady like never before.
GREEN: Asad's remark when Zoya was talking to Ayaan. Yes, he doesn't like her talking to her friend, 'Raabert'
BLUE: Ayaan in the first scene but thanks to Zoya, it didn't take him too much time to get out of the blues. This shows that Zoya will always help him through his problems, just like a friend or an older sister does (that's what they seemed to me today when Zoya talked to him on the phone)
BLACK: Now I am convinced that Razia's black magic will come to haunt her. Her biggest rival has appeared on the scene and will be the cause of her downfall in the near future. Yes, Zoya will be her biggest challenge now.
WHITE: Brothers at peace, finally thanks to Zoya and Holi. That's the spirit of Holi. In India, Hindus and Muslims have traditionally celebrated this festival as brothers. It's sad when some people have repeatedly questioned this tradition.. I have grown up in a big city in India and whenever there is Holi or Eid, I remember all neighbors celebrated it together. It's not about religion then, it's about brotherhood.
Symbolims and Foreshadowing: A lot of people have already written a lot about it from today's episode. I will just sumarize them here..
1. Asad and Ayaan ran after Zoya but it was Asad who found her and applied color on her
2. Razia will be the biggest hurdle between father-daughter communication- the way she yanked the phone when Zoya tried to talk with Ghafoor.
3. Asad's sixth sense about Zoya as I mentioned above
4. Tanveer and Razia to work together again? Why do I feel that this time Tanveer will backstab Razia. As I have said before, Tanveer has one good eye and she might actually surprise us all in the end. She might leave once she realizes Asad's strong feelings for Zoya and have Zoya deal with Razia. Let's see if Cvs are planning a similar track or it's just my guess.
