This is an article from TOI. Inspite of all the frustrations and irritations in this track, still wanted to take one moment to appreciate the CVs for their message.

Sex discrimination before birth still happens in one form or the other and the article clearly shows that although illegal not just does it still happen, but things like proper care is provided and taken when the baby is found to be male. It is a sorry state of affairs.

If only SNS sends a strong message by making sure that Urmila goes behind bars It is not enough to show the seriousness by having someone innocent arrested. Inspite of the message about sex discrimination being wrong that was shown, Urmi getting away shows that the culprit can also escape which should be avoided. I hope the CVs are listening😕

Thanks Harini. If the makers of SNS are serious about putting forward a message, then they had better do something worthwhile and not just pay lip service. Too many people will not take in the seriousness of this crime if the culprit is seen to get off scot free.

thanks Harini! brilliant post! 👏...you are right, foetus sex determination is a serious crime which is unfortunately prevalent in India, shockingly even amongst the educated class 🤢...CVs have raised a very important and sensitive issue here. They have already messed up the child stealing track, but this one they cannot afford to mess up. This is a crime that just cannot be forgiven!

I totally agree Dispy, Xari and Shweta😛

When I was going through this article, the first thing I thought was that the CVs had indeed taken up an important topic.

But then it is also imperative to follow through with it like they did in the Neelam track. They need to show that the culprits cannot escape the law. What they will be showing if they let Urmi escape is the fact that it is easy to escape from punishment even after committing the crime

Is that what the serial wants to propagate? It is high time to show that acts like these are punished properly and people like Urmi will never escape. For once I want the CVs to forget their stupid need to add KKs in the plot and make Urmi pay for her act. It is then that one can be proud of the message passed. Not before that.

yes Urshi have attempted murder (Hetal and Koki), cheating (Gopi's achaar track and well every Urshi track), child stealing (Vansh), physical and mental torture (Gopi) and well almost every crime in the book and the CVs have let them get away! 😲...I dont know if this is what all shows propagate but I am a fan of SNS and I dont want to see crime glorified and encouraged in this show! This is an issue where I will not stand Urmi getting away without punishment 😡

Thanks for sharing. 😊 On one side they want to show that finding out the gender of your baby is wrong but on the other hand they show the person doing the crime getting away with it. 😡 When will CV's listen to us and show her being punished? 😕

Harini .. that is very strong point to touch by the CVs .. just like they did with open bore well track and many other tracks adapted from day to day incidents ..

sex determination is illegal period. and does that mean those who are illegal getting punished . not in real life in India.. none of the wrong doer is punished.. some way or the other they are shown escaping... and they are showing the same in the show... closer to reality .. Urmi is some way or the other being let go after each of her illegal activity of stealing the baby or finding the baby sex

sad and disappointing ... but the are trying to show that just like wrong doer in real life is not punished .. they are letting go of Urmi with no punishment :(

Munni, I agree that if Urmi escapes, it will be closer to reality than if she gets arrested. But then the fact that UrShi get away all the time is also not close to reality CVs cannot have it both ways.

Things like stealing children, or asking about the baby's sex is a crime and as much as I accept that in real life criminals get away for these and still worser crimes, isn't it important that we see that the right message is passed to the public?

By saying it is wrong to commit the crime but easy to escape after doing the crime defeats the purpose of the message. It is like the adoption track where they showed a good message that adoption can be made with a full heart but spoiled it by showing the stealing and mother taking Vansh back through blackmailing track🤢 It would turn people off from adopting🥱
